Clay Aiken on "Days of Our Lives"

The "American Idol" singer guest-stars in a special holiday episode of the daytime soap opera.

In the story, Aiken gives a private concert at Salem's local club, "Dune", for Patch, played by Stepehn Nichols, and Kayla, played by Mary Beth Evans, after the couple offer to volunteer to help Aiken catch a ride to the airport when his car gets stranded.

San Antonio Express-News

I come to you this Christmas Day in something less than a festive mood.
After weeks of battling mall crowds, nasty clots of traffic and Clay Aiken mangling "Silver Bells," I couldn't feel holly or jolly if you strung me up on the mantle with garland and tickled my soles with mistletoe and candy canes.

Here are our picks for some of the year's oddest, most quizzical or least impressive achievements in the realm of music … or something vaguely similar.

Sheep in wolf's clothing award

Clay Aiken, whose tousled new look, unveiled on the American Idol finale, drew breathless comparisons to … well, k.d. lang. He later tried to show Kelly Ripa who was boss by covering her mouth with his hand on Regis and Kelly so he could get a question in.

Ohmigosh! Out of the mouths of celebrities
Those wacky celebrities say the darndest things. Here, for your reading pleasure on this Christmas day, are some of the better quotes. Consider it our gift to you.

"I don't know where that hand has been," -- Kelly Ripa to Clay Aiken, when he jokingly put his hand over her mouth while a guest on "Regis and Kelly." (November.)

Obviously, Clay is on most people mind whether it is negative or positive. This is in reference to comments from critics who can't get enough of Clay to write their material. I hate that USA blog . The spirit of Christmas  did not get to them. Envy, envy ,and more envy this coming year.
