Admin Public Service Announcement: Clack Unlimited

Clack Unlimited needs help! This is the first tour in a year, the clack is flowing freely and everyone is very hungry. That means lots of server space, lots of traffic, and LOTS of bandwidth. We've added a second server for the month to help balance the load. And all that means lots of money.

There are a couple of things everyone can do to help.

First and foremost, IF YOU HAVE A KEY TO THE PRIVATE VAULT AT CV OR ELSEWHERE, DO NOT DOWNLOAD FROM CU WHEN THE CLACK ALERTS GO UP. Please wait 5 minutes or so until the files have been transferred and announced here at CV. That will save a lot of bandwidth cost for CU.

Secondly, IF you do use Clack Unlimited to download files, please support the site. Server costs for this month will run into the thousands (plural) and the only way we can stay in operation is if our users support us. Even a few dollars will help if everyone shares the load.

Remember...Clack is free but bandwidth isn't!

CU has a main site and 2 alternate sites (for concert clack only) to help with the bandwidth load.  Please consider rotating which sites you use to help with the heavy bandwidth issues.  The more people downloading from the main site the slower the download speed will be.
