Oh my goodness!!!  I promise never to put my cheerleading outfit on again!!!  I cheered for the Cardinals and they lost and I cheered for the Cowboys and they lost!  I am all thru cheering!!!  Poor Tony he didn't have a chance!!  Where the heck was his protectors??????  Hubby said pretty soon it will be who has the biggest guys on their team instead of who has the most skilled on the team.  The weight of the players is really coming into play.  I really feel bad for Tony, I am not a fan of Brett Favre at all!!!

NOT what I expected at all. But I think WE have a better shot at

The Colts beat the Jets and the Saints just beat the Vikings, so....

it will be the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl!  Both these teams had a long string of wins before they had any losses, so I think they are the two teams that deserve to go to the Super Bowl.

I was at a Bridal Fair and missed the Colts/Jets game, but I did see most of the Saints/Vikings game and that was a nail biter.  Very evenly matched teams alternating touchdowns throughout the game.  In Overtime, the Saints were able to get a field goal and win 31 to 28!!

Monica,
Congratulations on your Colts making it to the Super Bowl

Frankie,
Congratulations to you and Lewis on your Saints making it to the Super Bowl!!

What an interesting Super Bowl this will be! Peyton Manning grew up in New Orleans - his Dad still covers Saints football on the radio!!!!  Paranoid I wish the Super Bowl was being played at the Super Dome this year - that is the only thing that would make it better. For us, the pressure is off - it is enough that the Saints finally made it to the big game. My husband, as so many other here, has been a loyal fan for 43 years - they finally have something to celebrate.  Purple Banana

I apologize to the Saints fans (because I love Drew as well) but...

**FLORIDA ADVISORY**

Tropical storm "MANNING" moving through the Miami area February 7th. Please be advised that heavy HAIL Mary's and other projectiles may be abundant. But strangely, very little BREES. Please refrain from resisting it's brilliance because you know you can't stop it... You only WISH to contain it!!!

Monica - Lewis just got an updated weather forecast from New Orleans:

Quote
HURRICANE WARNING!!!

Be Advised! Hurricane WHODAT is making landfall, bringing Shockey waves and strong Brees with Hartley any chance of survival. Has already blown migrating Cardinals off course and sunk a Viking ship! Headed for Miami at this time.........

Stay tuned for more forecast updates!
  lmao

I wouldn't be worred at all, but I have watched Peyton pull off too many miracles!  Paranoid As I said, I  think it is great that the Saints just made it to the Super Bowl (that view is not shared by many people here!  Laughing )

lmao Monica! Tell your cousin that if I can put up with all of the crazy people here, she can, too!  (By the way - Lewis came home with a Saints bracelet for me this week!)  Laughing  One of our Claymaniacs members who lives in New Orleans sent me the newspaer from the Monday after the Saints/Vikings game. The front page and the front page of the sports sections were both all Saints - I am framing the pages for Lewis' office. I hope she will send me the newspaper from next Monday, too - win or lose!

Has anyone ever heard about the Madden video game predicting Super Bowl winners (I  hadn't). I found this  just reading article about the Super Bowl:

MADDEN VIDEO GAME PREDICTS

It will be interesting to see how the game does!

Good article, Monica  Clapping This has to be hard on the Manning family - I just saw a Peyton interview. He said the equipment managers for the Saints were his baby sitters when his Dad played for the Saints!  Laughing
