HE'S KILLING ME!!!!!!

« Reply #24 on: September 08, 2006, 06:30:33 AM »

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE--

HE SPOKE!!!!  I HEARD HIM SPEAK!!!!!!  WHAT A SURPRISE.  I HAD ON INSIDER JUST TO SEE IF THEY SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THE APPOINTMENT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN---

THERE HE WAS.  HE OPENED UP THAT LUSCIOUS MOUTH AND REAL WORDS CAME OUT!!!!!! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

OK.  I AM BETTER.

I HAVE GOTTEN OVER THE KIMMEL THING.  THE JOB I WAS OFFERED AT THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE IS JUST TOO GOOD TO MESS WITH AND THE ONE DAY I MUST BE THERE IS SEPT. 27 SO THAT REALLY SEALS IT.  THE TRIP WAS NOT MEANT TO BE, GRAMMA.  WE HAVE TO KEEP THAT IN MIND.

SUSY--SORRY I MISSED WISHING YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  I STAYED OFF THE BOARDS ALMOST ALL OF YESTERDAY.  TOO BUSY AND TOO TIRED.  HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL ONE.

MARILYN AND JAYNE---BEST OF LUCK TODAY.    Fingers Crossed

I CANNOT BELIEVE ANYONE DIDN'T GET THAT THE CHRIOSTMAS CONCERTS WERE SYMPHONIES WITH CLAY SINGING AS GUEST.  IT WAS CLEAR TO ME BUT I THINK MICKI IS RIGHT.  THE VENUES WERE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CLAY'S POPULARITY AND US.  YOU NEEDED TO REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS BEING DONE.  I DON'T CARE.  I NEED TO SEE HIM LIVE.  I REALLY DO.

GOTTA GO CHECK AROUND.

MARILYN, how about a walking stick with a bobble head of Clay on the handle????     I'm sure that would make a wonderful impression.  Paranoid

GWENN, congratulations on your consulting job.   Good for the Clay fund!

I just hope that people who come to the symphony concerts only to see Clay as "the guest artist" know that they should dress properly.  IMO, Clay t-shirts and sweatshirts and flashing-light headgear/pins are not appropriate for this tiype of occasion.   I would love to see Clay fans portray themselves as having "the epitome of decorum" (quote Marilyn!!!)

Thanks for that, MEESA.  This announcement gives me a glimmer of hope that perhaps an announcement for a concert at The Chicago Theatre can't be too far up the road... Don't Know Fingers Crossed Fingers Crossed

The Washington Post mention on Clay's appointment!

Quote
"Clay Aiken lost the "American Idol" title but has won the president's ear. This week, the White House nominated the former teacher trainee and special-ed counselor to a seat on the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities. The group meets quarterly to advise on policy and programs."

There are pictures of Paris Hilton and Clay Aiken with the following quote under them: "She, like, hadn't eaten: Paris, top, brushes off DUI arrest in L.A. while Clay, above, gets a nod from POTUS."

POTUS= President of The United States. Aren't we clever ----at least they were kinder than usual. HRH continues to get great press all over the world. Clapping Clapping

For sure, MICKI!  Unfortunately (or maybe that is fortunately), the Clay fans who tend to embarass Clay are the ones who will be the least likely to be reading the posts here on Claymaniacs.   As has been said by a few others before right here on this board, sometimes I'm more than a little embarassed to call myself a Clay Aiken fan, thanks to the looney-tunes out there who continue to make the rest of us look bad.     I get tired of having to do "damage control" with some of my non-Clayfan friends and acquaintances.

EDIT:  BUT CLAY IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE INCONVENIENCE!!!  Wink

THE EPITOME OF DECORUM

« Reply #36 on: September 08, 2006, 12:26:58 PM »

WHAT AN EXCITING ADVENTUROUS DAY!!

MY APPOINTMENT WAS FOR 10:30 A LONG WAY AWAY FROM ME- 22 EXITS ONCE I GOT TO THE EXPRESSWAY. SO THE HEADHUNTER HAD GIVEN ME A PAGE OF DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS. I LEFT 15 MINS EARLY

OF COURSE I GOT LOST. CALLED AND ASKED THE GENTLEMAN WHO I GOT BETTER DIRECTIONS FROM TO PLEASE LET THE INTERVIEWER KNOW I WOULD BE LATE. GOT THERE AT 10:48- MY APPOINTMENT FELLA HAD ANOTHER MEETING AT 11:15 SO I HAD TO RESCHEDULE FOR MONDAY- NOT ONLY THAT, BUT NO-ONE TOLD HIM I WAS LATE AND SO HE CALLED THE AGENCY LOOKING FOR ME!

SO LATER I WENT TO WENDYS TO PICK UP MY SALAD. LEFT THE PARKING LOT AND WENT ONTO THE SUNRISE SERVICE ROAD. AT THE LIGHT, THE WOMAN DRIVER IN THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME OPENS HER DOOR AND REGURGITATES ON THE ROAD. EEEEWWW!!  NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE!!
NEEDLESS TO SAY I LOST MY APPETITE.

THANK GOODNESS I HAVE CLAY ON TV TO LOOK FORWARD TO - HE WILL BE SINGING A BEAUTIFUL SONG AND MAYBE TALKING. HE WON'T BE SINGING TO ME- NO

BECAUSE WHEN HE SINGS "RIGHT HERE WAITING" THEN THAT WILL BE HIM SINGING TO ME

AND I WILL ANSWER- JUST GIMME 60 MORE POUNDS AND I AM YOURS, BAYBEH!!! OH YES INDEEDY.

(ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET CHEAP LIPOSUCTION?)
