Per Corabeth at CH :

Quote
Hey guys, it appears that is may not be the official album cover.

And, why is Corabeth saying this?

Anyway..... it seems, like Angela said, that Walmart would not photoshop an album cover.    Looking at both pictures, I think the library scene may have been photoshopped since the photo shoot was taken in the house with that great view.

I had inquired about using the picture for CD Release party promotion and pasted the WalMart jpg link in my email.

I'm assuming she was told it wasn't the CD cover.

I heart the tabloid media.

I'm with Angela.  The library one is more likely to be Photoshopped.  Makes more sense.

Well, cover or no, it looks good!  Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Here's the deal.

I was told after inquiring that it is not an official album cover shot. That is why I said it may not be the cover. Who knows, they may be using the library picture a different way or they may have something better.

Really guys, that is it. I debated even posting but I figured you would want to know.

I don't know who it was she e-mailed, but she is in charge of the CD release party board. Maybe she has a contact we don't know of.

If I'm not mistaken, corabeth has contacts at RCA she has been working with regarding the CD Release Parties. I could be wrong. Someone feel free to correct me if I am.

I do like the "cover", but it certainly wasn't what I had in mind. He does look hot, but I can't imagine them using the same pose and just Photoshopping it onto another background. Likewise, I think I envisioned something more creative, if you will, especially where the font and placement of his name and album title were concerned. Of course, that's probably just me being picky and particular.

Linds ~ I agree with you.  I had posted this earlier today in CMass before we knew it MAY/MAY NOT be the cover...

I love the new CD cover but was kinda surprised they used the same PR picture only with a different background.  I thought they might have done a different design.  But I really like how he is featured front and center and I think the lighter background behind him makes him stand out even more.    Maybe I'm just beyond ready to see more NEW pics!

Exactly! Why, out of the hundreds of pictures I'm sure the photographer took, would they need to use the same photo twice?

Bring on the calendar, baby! I have an open spot on my wall at work just waiting for it. Wink

Well, if it is the CD cover, the background view makes it unique because most CD covers don't feature scenery like that.  (I like the man scenery too Wink)

Why is he so pretty?

Must be magic.

And, since this is the same cover shown on the official site, I am presuming it's THE ONE.

I think it's awesome!
