Jayne -

If you go to page 48 at the CH - you can only listen to this one and not d/l it (which you said you can't do anyway!) from "YouStopRightNows" server - she said it won't run out since its on her server.

Give it a try.

And Mariah Carey covered it in the early 90s. Kelly Clarkson sang it on AI during the final 4 night, I believe. Simon said that it was the best song he heard that season.

I CAN'T LIVE (Tom Evans)

What kind of fool I was to lose your loving hand

I can't live if living is without you

I can't live, I can't give anymore

I can't live if living is without you

I can't live, I can't give anymore

And now it's gone and I can't seem to find

Happiness and good times, have I left them all behind?

Or is it just another way to let me know

That in this life you only reap after you sow?

I can't give if living is without you

I can't live, I can't give anymore

I can't live (oooh) if living is without you

I can't live, I can't live anymore.

[song never completed, chorus ended up as part of the Badfinger song, "Without You"]

from some website about the writer of the song..

I agree Lori!!!

In late 1970, Badfinger released the album No Dice. It was accompanied by the single "No Matter What," which also reached the Billboard Top 10. More notably, another track from No Dice, "Without You", became a bigger hit when recorded by Harry Nilsson in 1971 (where it reached the Billboard #1 slot) and Mariah Carey in 1993.

AND a photo of Harry whatshisname is there too...

And from the same article- it gets uglier..

Ultimately, Evans and Molland split acrimoniously in 1981. During 1982 and 1983, they briefly operated rival bands, both using the name Badfinger. On 19 November 1983, Evans and Molland argued on the telephone, reportedly about the publishing royalty division of the song "Without You." Following the argument, Evans hanged himself in the garden at his home in an eerie replay of Pete Ham's 1975 death scene.[/color]

wonder if he did his research?

Meesa, the songs are on Promosquad, but do you have to be a member to listen? How does that work? And is the link the same for all the songs or are they different links?

You have to be a member. Membership is free. They are in the Jukebox. Pick a Top 40 and/or Clear Channel station in your area and Clay should come up!

No it is not the one w/ Kimberly--it's like from the 70's??

I can't live...if living is without you.....I can't live..I can't give anymore.

If you are as old as I am you will know the song.

I didn't like it so much then- I will have a hard time liking now..But he does soar in certain parts- thats for sure!
