"My little cousins."

"My family because they are very excited and encouraging."

"Yes, it's fun and exciting especially if you feel you performed well when it's over."

"I don't really have a favorite because I listen to and love all types of music."

"Mostly my family ..."

"I was in the chorus at school in fourth grade and stayed in it until I graduated. I've never had any musical training."

Bad news for all you American Idol-izers out there. Seems runner-up Katharine McPhee skipped the opening nights of her AI Live! Tour, which kicked off Wednesday.

Evidently, Kat had come down with a nasty case of "severe bronchitis and laryngitis" and was prescribed "total voice rest" by her doc. As of press time, she didn't perform the first couple of nights of the tour. Big-time bummer, no?
 
So, I was more than a little surprised that K. McPhee, supreme sass-follower in the diva shoes first donned by such AI legends as Clay Aiken, showed up for a Cosmo Girl photo shoot on Thursday. Here in Hell-Ay, 'course.

KING: What's with you and Clay Aiken?
GRIFFIN: Oh, I love him. I love Clay. I'm a huge fan.
KING: You like him. You mean you really like him?
GRIFFIN: I really like him, yes. You know his fans are called Claymates and yet I make fun of him in my act and I may imply that there's a slight chance that I might think he might possibly be a homosexual. And I might imply that in my act in a fun and lighthearted way. And I might do it for about 20 minutes straight. All right, so and then of course I have to run into him. In fact, I ran into him at your anniversary party and you know.
KING: What did he say?
GRIFFIN: I just apologize. I back peddle and apologize.
KING: You do, oh you do?
GRIFFIN: Yes.
KING: You cop out?
GRIFFIN: I mean I can't deny it because I said it.
KING: You cop out, yes.
GRIFFIN: Well, yes, I just say "I'm sorry," you know I mean I don't really want anybody to burst into tears or anything but Clay actually...
KING: And what did he say?
GRIFFIN: Clay and I have become a little friendly.
KING: Yes.
GRIFFIN: Watch he's going to come on tomorrow night and say "I can't stand that bitch." No, I really do love him and I've seen him live and, you know, I like to make fun of him and I love him both.

Manager Simon Renshaw and his artist roster - Dixie Chicks, Clay Aiken, Miranda Lambert, Bo Bice and Anastacia - are affiliated with Front Line Management, Pollstar has learned.

Details were scarce at press time, but informed sources confirmed that Renshaw is involved with the management company run by Irving Azoff and Howard Kaufman.
