Yes, yes, yes on Heart's "ALONE"
I heard Heart's original version of "Alone" and I liked Clay's so much better!
Much more heartfelt -
I do love Ann Wilson's vocal, but for some reason, on Alone, it didn't emote...
Normally, I like original artists' versions far better, and Clay is the first one that I like it
better than original artists'.

I'd love to hear Clay sing:

"Alone" by Heart
"Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman" by Bryan Adams
"When A Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge
"I Want To Know What Love Is" by Foreigner
"I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2

These are just a few but I think anything he sings would be GREAT!!!  Smile  Thud!

This needs a little bump! It'll be nice to have this list when the CD comes out to see if any of our choices made it. Smile

  • Alone by Heart
  • Wicked Games by Chris Isaac
  • When I See You Smile by Bad English
  • With Or Without You by U2
  • In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel
  • Every Breath You Take by Police
  • I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith
  • Please Forgive Me by Bryan Adams
  • How Do You Talk To An Angel by The Heights

And just for the heck of it, because I need a fast love song, Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer. lmao

Does better late than never apply, Philly?  Wink

Here's a few of my faves...

Cat Stevens 'Wild World' (in a low sexy register)

Jackson Browne 'Late For The Sky"  (Clay would OWN this song & make it new again!)

Percy Sledge 'When A Man Loves A Woman" (once was not enough  Thud!)

Joe Cocker 'You Can Leave Your Hat On" (the new WDC  Don't Know  Ok, I'm dreaming again...  ROFLMAO)

I've been thinking the love songs that I like from the 80's if Clay is going with that era and two of them are Groovy Kind of Love from Phil Collins and Careless Whisper by George Michael. Clay will make our hearts melt with those songs. Ofcourse I want, When A Man Loves A Woman too.

wave  I'm up late, can't get to sleep and the title of this topic caught my eye... good one, Philly!   Here's some songs that I would like to add to the list...

Think Of Laura by Christopher Cross - it's a beautiful, sad song... but if I could only hear Clay sing MY name I'd melt *sigh*

Longer Than by Dan Fogelberg - another beautiful love song and there are so many out there!

If by Bread

Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton

Everything I Do, I Do It For You by Bryan Adams

Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison

Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor

Heaven Is A Place On Earth by Belinda Carlisle

I Think We're Alone Now by Tiffany

When A Man Loves A Woman-DEFINITLY! Thud!

I really like the song choices everyone else here picked out andI'm sure I'll think of more to add later...

When a man loves a woman -----yup

Also a great rocking uptempo song that he just wants and loves to sing like he enjoyed singing When Doves Cry.  Something on the album that when he sings it live, the place just rocks.
