Hope the ones who are left have gained some confidence this week and everyone will do much better next week.  They have got to choose songs to showcase their talent and personality so we can separate the good from the average.

Enjoyed this week everyone and I'll be back next week.  Hopefully I'll see some of you between now and then at other places around here.

I agree with you there Marilyn.

I would have preferred to see Sway or Gedeon go over Patrick. He didn't do well but he was better than those two.

Barb I hope they've gained more confidence too.

Can you imagine how hard that must be?

Especially now that the show is established????

Knowing that you have the potential to be another Kelly or Clay?

Patrick?  Whozat?  I must have missed him last night.  Evidently, I should be glad.

I missed all the women, and I like Chris and Taylor.  Will is cute.  I love Taylor's bluesy sound and Chris' rockin howl. 

I still think Ace has a great shot at winning though, for the same reason Michael hates him.  He has marketability, and that's really what the show is about.  Chris also has huge marketability.  The problem is that there are very few male singers succeeding on the Top 40 charts right now, and it's been a while since they have.  Rob Thomas' album was a huge failure (sales wise) and the only male pop singer with any buzz right now is James Blunt.  And he's British.

I think from the failure of the previous winners to actually become pop stars (except Kelly and it took her a while and she had to change her whole image to do it) will give the show a different focus this year.
It ain't going to be about the singing, that's my prediction.

Or, I could be wrong.  Wouldn't be the first time!  Smile
