American Idol fans are about to get their fix! One of the most famous contestants to emerge from the show, Clay Aiken is stopping at the All-Star Amphitheater on Saturday, August 6th.

Undoubtedly one of the most popular contestants of the hit show, Aiken earned legions of fans along with his record contract. He became their choice of the Fan’s award at the 2003 American Music Awards and also captured the TV Guide’s Favorite Reality Star in the same year. And his first single “This Is the Night/Bridge Over Troubled Water” won the Billboard Music award for best-selling single of the year. His debut CD, Measure of a Man, has sold more than 2.6 million copies and has gone double platinum. He has also toured endlessly both solo and with co-Idol contestant, Kelly Clarkson. Concerts sell out in mere minutes and countless fan clubs have sprung up across the nation and around the world. Off-stage, Aiken is a tireless advocate for children with disabilities, founding the Bubel/Aiken Foundation to promote the inclusion of children with disabilities into programs for those without. He is also an Ambassador of Education for All Children for UNICEF and served as the national spokesperson for the 2004 Marine Toys for Tots campaign, which became the most successful effort in the campaign’s history.

The Clay Aiken show starts at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of park admission, so bring your lawn chairs early and stay all day.

Closing medley of medley - they've knocked this first segment out of the park!

He went from a falsetto note on that last "Great" down to a much lower note on "Balls"!! Made me say Whoa!!

Talking now - sweating to the oldies tonight. Want you to dance - if you know the words, sing along. If you don't, don't sing. It might mess him up and he's been having trouble remembering the words!!
