Drifting into Heaven
I long to feel the warmth of your lean body against mine
For you to hold me close
I long to gaze into your deep verdant eyes
To run my fingers through your red hair
And tenderly press your soft, lucious lips to my own
I long to hear you whisper my name in your sleep
To see your long lashes resting on your cheek
And to feel you breathing as I drift into heaven
I long to awake wrapped in silky white sheets
To watch a ray of sunlight seep in and illuminate your pretty face
And see you smile as I say your sweet name to wake you
I long for you to say morining darlin' with your adorable southern accent
And give me one of your sweet kisses as I reflect on the night that we had
A night we can never relive or get back
I felt so secure, like I would never be lonely again
Oh what I wouldn't do, just to fall asleep with you
