Renee ~ yes Clay is one of the artists on the new Disneymania CD.   I'm not sure what Jim CD you are referring to.  Here is the link....

Thea, Clay was on Jim Brickman's radio show back in July 2004 (yay for the search feature!)
So, while they may not be best friends, I don't think there are hard feelings for any reason.

Could someone please tell me if there will be a 2006 Clay Aiken calendar?  Thanks in advance for your response.

From a couple reports I have read online from people who have contacted the Clay Aiken Store, there will be a 2006 calendar but it has been delayed.  Thats the last word we have heard and no info on a date.

Jim Brickman is performing in Fort Worth in December.  I have a friend who is going and has two of his CD's.

QUESTION

Where is the thread that had all of the website links on it?  I could go there to find the OFC link.  Did I imagine this thread?  I thought it was in Clay Daily, but maybe it's somewhere else? Don't Know

Thanks Deanna!!

ANOTHER QUESTION:  Someone asked me why the pages are so long, and they do seem a lot longer.  I picked out several completed pages and each had 25 posts on it.  I believe that a completed page used to have 14 to 16 posts.

We're just wondering why each page has more posts now and is this helpful to the site? (I'm assuming that with 25 posts on a page, fewer pages are "used" up and threads like the OCD, BLPT, etc. can run longer before a new thread has to be started.)

Prissy, the number of posts on each page can be set, and yes, I recently changed it to 25.  The reason is that the screen doesn't have to be refreshed as often, which results in less bandwidth usage.  Because we use so many graphics (avatars, siggies, emoticons) it takes longer for pages to load after refreshing, because all the graphics have to reload as well.  That's also one reason we don't want pictures quoted!  If ten posts quote the same picture on the same page, that's a lot of data to reload.

Bandwidth is what you pay for when you have a website or forum.  As I am not adept at "techno speak," maybe this will help explain:

Quote
Imagine for a second the wait you face when you hit "Refresh" to get the latest version of a Web page. Multiply that by all your Net users, and you're looking at a lot of bandwidth being spent to needlessly update entire pages, when only small bits of data have changed.

Everytime we click our "refresh" button, all the old data as well as the new data is sent to the server and then back to us.  That is a simple explanation of bandwidth usage.

Does that answer your question?

Anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!  I need Michael for this one!

Pamela,

I was a total computer illiterate until I was Colleen's one student in the OCD's "Computer 101,"  so I'm "kind of" understanding what you are saying.

I do not hit my refresh button hardly at all so it's difficult for me to understand why that is a problem.  I suppose some are refreshiing a page to see if any new posts have been added.  Won't they do that even more when a page is longer with more posts?

I think that some are finding and commenting that a thread is going slowly when it's just that the page is so much longer than it used to be and with more posts.

Not really a problem;  just curious.

Thanks,
Prissy

Has anyone seen the Paperback version of Learning To Sing?  Where?  I have looked at several different places and haven't seen it at all?  Also, I can never find even the hard cover version any more?  What section of the book store is it usually in?

I saw it for a couple of months after it came out a year ago, but have not seen it in a long time.

Hey Molly!

I actually just bought the paperback version of LTS last weekend.  I found it at Wal-Mart!  I didn't look at Barnes and Noble or anything, so I don't know if they have it.  As for what section, I don't really know - at my Wal-Mart it was on this little disply thing in the middle of the books section, with other books by famous people like Dr. Phil and stuff.  If you still can't find it, let me know and I can pick a copy up for you and drop it off sometime!!

Molly - They have it at Target and Wal-Mart, but in book stores look in the new paperback section or the music section. That's where Borders has it.

Ok, new random question for you guys.

I remember seeing a clip of Clay at some kind of photo shoot (I think it might have been in the fall of 2003) where Clay is leaning against a wall and he says "I'm slipping!"

Does anyone recall this, and if so, do you know what show it was on or where I could download it?

Thanks in advance!

Molly, I know this sounds crazy, but...what was he wearing?  I remember things by wardrobe for some reason.

I don't think I want to know why.   Paranoid

When Clay was on the TV program "Real Access", they actually showed a clip of the "I'm falling" incident.  I think the photo shot might have been one of the shoots he did for RCA.  Wink

(I have that show recorded on my VCR)

Hmmm, could the reason you have this one be that they show his flip-flop-feet for a good 5 seconds at the beginning of the clip??   ROFLMAO  It is a cute clip, I had forgotten about it!

I do think that is the photoshoot where he said "I'm slipping", however I can't remember what other shows had clips from it.  It is the recording of his TITN music video, that much I know.  I checked in the MTV archives but haven't seen anything there as far as clips from it, but I'll keep searching!!

QUESTION (1):
At the beginning of the download for "O Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" Clay says ........." ?? gonna have to chase you down."  What was he talking about?  Who was he going to have to "chase down?

QUESTION (2):
Does anybody remember Clay ice skating at Rockefeller Center?  He was wearing a hoodie and then he reveals himself to the crowd by removing the hood.  I know I have a DL of this, but I have so much Clack I can't figure out what I titled the file.  If I knew the reason he was there I might be able to find the DL.

THANKS!

During Clay's band intros etc, his grandfather was escorted out of the audience momentarily. He was eventually escorted back in and to his seat.  Clay was referring to the fact that he saw this occur, and he said he thought he was "gonna have to chase you down!" referring to his grandfather leaving the audience.

There's no such thing as too much clack! But I know what you mean quynn! Laughing  Here you go. The clip was from a VH1 feature, I think from 2004.  Good stuff!

I have a question, since I never really watched AI2 until the last few episodes (with Clay, Rueben,Kim and Josh)....I noticed as I watched the AI dvd ( seasons 1-4 Best of series) that Clay was wearing 2 chains around his neck. 1 had a key and the other had what looked like a lock. What did those necklaces mean?
