Mack,
Just for you to consider (and to echo lovinclay) as you choose your next car: I drove a Honda Civic for 11 years and put 165,000 miles on it. Presently, I am driving a '96 Honda Accord and have 125,000 miles on it. Hubby and I also have a Honda Odyssey Van. Gotta love those Hondas! They go forever and hardly ever have "repair issues!"
Toyotas, too!
Hugs,
Prissy

Mack, was that a picture of the
Future Secretary of Education?
I thought so!
Congratulations and best of luck as you journey out into the wonderful world of educating the kids of this country. It's a HUGE challenge but we all have faith in your character and abilities. You rock!

Congratulations, Mack!!!!!
GRRRREEEEAAAAATTT pictures and what a wonderful gift!! (I mean the car, Glenn, sorry...)
As far as the make of your new car is concerned... Let's see...
If you're from North Carolina...
and...
you're a teacher...
You should pick a Volvo SUV
or a silver convertible.
Hugs,
and :clappy

Congratulations to you Mack! :colors
I loved viewing the photos of your big day.
And, a warmest welcome to the teaching profession. May you experience much joy and laughter in your new career.
I am sure your life will be as enriched as mine has been since I returned to my initial career choice, after years in private industry.
While I am at it, I'll join the chorus of Claymaniacs suggesting a Honda. I purchased my first one as a used vehicle with 70,000 miles on it. I continued to drive it until it reached 140,000 miles (and that was largely freeway driving...lots of stop and go...out here in California). I have another one, an Honda Accord, 2002 which is great.
I'd like to close with these words by Dr. Seuss:
Quote
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
May your life's journey be blessed with great faith, love and peace.
