I JUST GOT HOME FROM AN EVENING OUT WITH
2 OF MY COUSINS AND SPOUSES.  WE HAD A NICE
TIME, BUT AS SOON AS I GOT IN THE CAR TO
COME HOME JULIE'S FACE AND VOICE WERE RIGHT
BACK IN MY HEAD AGAIN.  I JUST KEEP SHAKING MY
HEAD WITH DISBELIEF.  MY HEART IS ALSO HEAVY
TONIGHT AND I THINK IT WILL BE FOR A WHILE TO
COME.  I DON'T REALLY FEEL LIKE LAUGHING YET
OR BEING FUNNY WHEN I POST.  THE LOSS OF
JULIE HAS BEEN A DEVASTATING SHOCK.  TIME
HEALS, BUT NOT ENOUGH TIME HAS PASSED YET!!

WHEN I CALLED HER AT HOME, SHE WOULD SAY,
"OMG, LINDA SWEETIE, IT'S SO GOOD TO HEAR
FROM YOU."  IT WAS SO GOOD TO TALK TO
HER TOO.  I WISH I HAD TALKED MORE TO HER
THIS WEEK.  I WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL HER
THIS WEEKEND.

MEESA:  WHAT A BEAUTIFUL POEM.

 PLEASE TELL THE FAMILY WE ALL LOVED HER VERY, VERY

Thanks for this thread Debbie.  I just wanted to let everyone know that I was compelled to call my Mom last night and we talked for a while.  She does lurk on the board, but she didn't know Julie because she can't come into the Member's Corner.

However, on reading dudley's thread for Julie, she was very touched by everyone's sentiments and remembrances.  She sent me a message for everyone and I posted it in the thread.

Thank you to everyone contributing for flowers and the BAF donation, and thanks to Colleen too. I will start looking for something tomorrow.  I was thinking about a plant Julie's daughter can plant in her yard.  Does anyone know if she has a yard?  Flowers are always beautiful, but so temporary.  What do you think?

I want to go so much, feel I need to be there, but I don't think I'm going to be able to attend. I really can't afford to take another 2 days off and it is really tearing me up that I can't go because of stupid money. This hurts my heart almost as much as the fact that Julie is gone. I am beside myself. I am glad that someone from Claymaniacs is going to be able to go and represent us all.

Pamela - I think a plant is a great idea! It lasts so much longer than flowers.

Michelle - I love "In the Garden" as well. They played that at my friend's funeral when I was in high school.

Pamela- Thank you again for doing this for us. Going to send you some money on Monday since I don't have paypal. That's a wonderful idea to send her daughter a plant. THat's sweet you got to talk your mom and how she was touched by all the posts about JUlie. I'll read her message.

Meesa and Michelle, thank you for the beautiful writings. They do help at a time like this. Pamela, thank your mom for us too.  That was very sweet of her to share that and it made me feel a little better.

I like the idea of a plant also. I am sure that someone close to Julie will find a nice place to plant it.

Michelle, after all Julie did for you, you know that she would want you to be responsible and do what it takes for you to get ahead. She knows that you want to be with her and you are.

I don't get much to the picture threads because of the slow web-TV dial-up but that's the first time i saw some of the pics Tiffany posted.

I'm listening to the Grand Ole Opry right now and am trying to eat some pizza...i'll get my appetite back eventually.

Anyone who's going to Julie's funeral...i can't be there because of work...but anyone going, if it's allowed, Janet was suggesting someone take a picture of the flower arrangement or whatever else and post them at the site for those who can't attend in person.

Dove ~ thanks for the decor!  I just watched my boyfriend on SNL....I had to rewind it several times too!  Wow, have I missed him!  Can't wait until he starts performing again!
