SHIRL!!!!     It's so good to see you posting.  Hopefully that means you're feeling better and looking forward to maybe attending a concert or two this summer!

I'm recopying the Pet Thread pages because I couldn't find the files when I went to look for them yesterday.      This time I will be saving them in my Documents folder.  I'm sure they're somewhere on my hard drive, but after frantically looking for them with no success I decided "better safe than sorry".

Speaking of manicures and such, I'm back to having my ugly short nails.  I let my acrylic nails grow out.  Forgot how ugly my own are!  I originally got acrylic nails back when Clay was having his book signings.  I went to the one in Cleveland.  Anyway, I had the "hots" for him back then, and didn't want him to see my ugly nails when he shook hands with me! 

Had 'em ever since.  Just got tired of going every 2-3 weeks and getting them redone, plus it wasn't cheap.  And by nature, I'm pretty cheap!  I gravitate to sales racks immediately upon entering a store!  Plus, it just was not easy taking contacts out and putting concealer on under my eyes without scratching.

Been to the new site, posted a "test."  Looks pretty nice over there!  I'm impressed with Michael!  I'm just wondering if they will be able to bring our beloved emoticons over there.  I know they are not done yet with the site, so I'm hopeful. 

Kim, jeez, I've always felt safe on Clearwater Beach!  Pretty scary events!  At least you had your funky nails to look at and keep you entertained while you were stuck in your car!

Thought David went to a seminar in Columbus today, so I'd be able to hop in and out of here all day, but he just called....he's down at the office!     So this might be my only post today. 

Shirley, thanks for posting, letting us know you were feeling a bit better.  We worry about you!

Sharon, maybe not the best decision to go out yesterday, hope you didn't take "two steps back" in your recuperation!  Keep warm today, sip on those hot toddies! 

Peggy, I'm always a little more daring with my toenail color than I am on my fingernails, too!  Dunno if I'm up for funky blue, but I will definitely consider.  Next time I go to Walmart I'll look!

Loved waking up to such a positive review of Clay's concert, his music and the new direction he is taking in his career.  Let's hope that other critics fall in line behind this one!  Could Clay finally be getting the break he so deserves after all this time?  Keeping my fingers crossed, for sure! 

GWENN, so glad you have made it through the first night taking care of Barry.  Praying things will continue to be easier in your household.  And yes, big time prayers are going your way.  I even took the liberty of putting yours and Barry's name on our temple prayer roll the other day.   

Glad to hear about how MICKI is doing, as well.  I figured with her move she'd be dealing with a temporarily lost internet connection.  Here's hoping she gets online soon.  MICKI, you are missed and loved here!   

JOHANNA, thanks for the news on a (hopefully) firm date for TNT's release??? 

Hi to all.  Home from church today because I'm starting up with yet another cold and didn't want to infect the other members of the congregation.  No biggie, though, that's for sure!!!

                              I did"nt see Shirl"s post last night. She said it is a 7 hour train jpurney to
                     Reno and she has to change once. The train is set up for wheelchairs and there is a shuttle
                     to the hotel.I think it is much better than flying.

                                I"m so happy for her...now she has something to look forward to.

                        Glad to say my jaw is not hurting as much today,
 though I do have a bad headache.

             It"s very strange but when I had heart attack before I did"nt have any chest pains
             just jaw pain, nausea and sweating.The doctor"s kept telling me not to be stoic about
               the pain and could"nt believe I did"nt have any....just felt weird.I had a triple by pass
             and that was ten years ago.
 
                   Corina will be home tonight but if I still have problems I will call her friend and go to
 
                  the ER.My best friend is a love but does"nt driveor she would be here.

I stayed up late last night and moved the Color Chart and all of the Birthday Poems to the new site.  I put them in FUN STUFF, but not really sure if the Birthday Poems should be there or in the archives! 

I looked out this morning and our vans are covered with snow and there is a light layer of snow on the grass and the benches;  nothing like the snow around Valentine's Day.  It is 30 degrees right now, so we are below freezing.  I don't think we will go to Sunday School;  not sure about the roads! 

Skip did a great job on his office, and he has lots of stuff to give away, throw away, and go out in the recycling!  He is like the Hare and I am like the Tortoise.  He moves quickly getting things done, and I take a lot of time;  stop too often to read things!!

I imagine we will continue our quest to make stuff "disappear" in our house, today!

I hate to hear that Jennie is suffering so.  Is there something over the counter that would help?  Do you think she needs to go to the ER?

That is not Taylor;  she is still in Houston.  That is Taylor's cousin and the dog belongs to Youngest Sister. 

Pepe,
I think you will enjoy your stove.  I can hardly get more than one thing in my stove at a time.  When I put in the new potatoes, the pork dish with the pork tenderloin would not fit beside it, so I had to put it on the rack below and really too close to the burner.  The food turned out fine, however, and we will have leftovers today!

Kim - How funny about your nails.  One time last year I did my nails a funky color blue too. 
My daughter told me I was always getting 'old lady' colors.      She dared me to get something different.  I only got that color on my toes though.  I did it when I went into the hospital for my ablasion.  You should have seen the double takes I got when someone came in and had to check out my incision.     It looked pretty good too.   

Don't you just hate it when you get stuck in traffic and can't move anywhere?  I do.  How frustrating!

Good Morning! It is very cold here, and the wind is howling. It is snowing in Shreveport, but they do not think there will be accumulation.

JoAnn - I'm sorry Jennie is not feeling well - hope she gets some sleep. Our plant places here are full of plants - but we noticed yesterday that they were moving plants indoors for last night. I also noticed that door to our big greenhouse blew open last night  - but it is cloudy - hope that kept the temperature high enough so that most things will be O.K.

Sharon - I am sitting here having my coffee - cyber cofee and real coffee!!! 

Pepe - enjoy that new stove! We bought the shelving system for Lewis' closet and he installed it - most shelves are too high for me to reach - he even has a small bench in there to sit on when he changes shoes. He has a habit of throwing everything on that bench - he had to get in there yesterday and put things in order. He even has sports equipent in there - golf clubs and gun cabinet (locked) included. There ws no way I was going to strighten all of that out!  I told him I went in there Friday when I was cleaning floors - but I just opened the door and turned around and left!

I agree with Pepe - Jayne - where are you?

Betty - hope you check in early today. Did you see that Shirl came on site last night and saved the Magazine Thread???    She is feeling much better, and is so happy to be going to Reno. I hope she and JoAnn get to meet each other. I am so happy she is taking the train.
