Update from the Big E line:The weather is perfect - sunny, blue skies, 71 degrees. ... The crowd is getting larger - there are about 2,000 people in line at this time. Jojoct just called back to say that Clay just arrived at the venue.

Another update:
The Ben Jellen [sic] fans were let in first but are seated in the back.
The crowd is now about 4,000 people or more. Bob (of the Bob and Linda fame) snuck in and managed to snag the second row center seat.

There is evidently a large bucket hung up above center stage.  HMMM.

Thanks for all you have done with regard to the cellcerts...they are just awesome!!

for over 10,000. Many Clayfans/Claymates planned
to spend the night at the fairgrounds to secure

People lined up to enter at 8:00 am this morning.
Then spent ALL DAY in line until being allowed
into the outdoor stage seating area at 5:00 pm
for the 7:00 pm concert.

There are no tickets for this concert (it's free with
fair admission) and therefore no assigned seating.

It's an outdoor stage (not a permanent structure)
with fenced-in seating (hard wooden benches and
a few metal bleachers - high school football stadiums
have better seating!) for 3500 people. Another 6500
people can supposedly see the concert from outside
the fenced-in area but from seeing the area in person
a few weeks ago Madison is not convinced of that!
There are 2 not very big "jumbotron" screens outside
of the fenced-in seating area and there is lawn
space for people to sit on. But she is not convinced
6500 people can actually fit out there!

I had a call early this afternoon from someone in line - people were already there at 11 PM last night - lots of jackets and blankets this afternoon - two lines. Seating was supposed to start around 6. As an aside, there was someone on stage earlier named Michael Angelo. (Nice name.)

I'd take some wine too please... Just keep it on the downlow, since I'm still underage. Those laws... aw shucks  haha

What a great cell cert. Not many entertainers can reach out through a cell phone, and then again through an internet message board and touch so many people. Clay shines his light on everyone he can, and it reaches us even twice removed from the show. I've never been more in awe of him than I am at this moment.

People lined up to enter at 8:00 am this morning. Then spent ALL DAY in line until being allowed into the outdoor stage seating area at 5:00 pm for the 7:00 pm concert.

There are no tickets for this concert (it's free with fair admission) and therefore no assigned seating.

It's an outdoor stage (not a permanent structure) with fenced-in seating (hard wooden benches and a few metal bleachers - high school football stadiums have better seating!) for 3500 people. Another 6500 people can supposedly see the concert from outside the fenced-in area but from seeing the area in person a few weeks ago Madison is not convinced of that!

There are 2 not very big "jumbotron" screens outside of the fenced-in seating area and there is lawn space for people to sit on. But she is not convinced 6500 people can actually fit out there!

It's been a chilly, windy day here but the wind has calmed down a lot now. "Baby" will need a few more tees, some long johns, but no flip-flops tonight (and a raincoat from what I read above - I hope not on the last). It's 63 degrees now.

I had a call early this afternoon from someone in line - people were already there at 11 PM last night - lots of jackets and blankets this afternoon - two lines. Seating was supposed to start around 6. As an aside, there was someone on stage then named Michael Angelo. (Nice name.)

Found on another board. At least they're treating him right here!  She said that Clay arrived with a 5 motorcycle police escort--lights flashing and all. It was so exciting. She can't confirm it, but she heard from someone he had a police escort all the way from NJ. She saw Jerome giving the signal for Clay to come off the bus. The screams were deafening. Mix said poor Clay probably heard it and is afraid to get off the bus!

Okay.. dont know if anyone posted this yet.. I just jumped on.. but COMCAST sponsored a ticket giveaway contest.. the 2 winners could have front row seats tonight or.. watch the concert from a hot tub...!!!

SOoooooooooooooooooooooooo... they chose the hot tub!!!! so they are now in the hot tub waiting for the concert to start!!! I wonder what Clay's reaction will be!!! This will be fun!!!

THERE DEFINITELY IS A HUGE BUCKET OVER CLAY'S AREA OF THE STAGE... NOT SURE WHAT IT IS FILLED WITH. THEY SAW THE CREW PUTTING VASELINE A L L OVER THE MIC STANDS - SO THE MIC ACTION OUGHT TO BE PRETTY INTERESTING TONIGHT!!!

Okay I just got a call from TSU: She said they put vasoline on Clays mic stand that he uses for Solitaire. They also said there is a bucket of something that they plan to dump on Clay. Val said she hope its confetti and not water. It is very cold there.

CD just called back - said the place is PACKED. People are standing outside by the street. She said there are people in front of her from Alaska!

The crowd is seriously hyped. She's already called a few times thinking he was coming out but it's just excited people screaming. It's still not Showtime!!!
