Title: AIKEN NEWS NETWORK SEPTEMBER 26 & 27
Post by: Marilyn on September 26, 2009, 09:26:33 AM
This morning, something happened to me that has happened only once before: I dreamed about an American Idol contestant. I assume this happened because, just yesterday, I told somebody how fortunate I considered myself that the show that now claims about half my waking hours so rarely invades my sleep time. That'll teach me.

HE DREAMT ABOUT CLAY!!! LOVE SOME OF THE COMMENTS!!

NOT SURE IF THIS WAS POSTED ALREADY, BUT IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES

I came across this amazing video as I was searching for footage of the quadruple  amputee, Kiera Brinkley, who performed at Juillard.  This inspiring couple (each one an amputee)  touched my heart with their beautiful dancing which is performed to Clay Aiken singing Broken Wings. Their story is below the video.

YOU NEED TO SCROLL WAAAAY DOWN TO THE POST ON SEPT 23RD TO SEE THIS VIDEO

I am not a great fan of Clay Aiken. I was intrigued by his CD - and I bought it. And discovered this song. I have no knowledge if this is a remake or an original. But the lyrics got stuck with me.

The more I think about it, it's not so much a romantic love song as it is a song for my parents, my siblings, and specially, my nephews and my nieces, who have grown up so fast.

         Marilyn,
Thank you for drawing attention to the beautiful dance performed by
                   the two young amputees.

I watched it yesterday and it certainly brought tears to my eyes.

                           Perfect song, perfect singer!!!!
                                                                                         Betty
