I was reading through The Connecticut, a magazine, and on the Performing Arts Guide page, under Mohegan Sun, Clay was listed as performing on December 9th. It's on page 72.

We were eventually arranged to his satisfaction, and suddenly, Clay came flying towards us. I absolutely cracked up when I saw Jerome demonstrate his very best bodyguard move when he dramatically flung himself in front of Clay, spread his arms, and bellowed, "TREE!!!" You see, they had us line up just behind a row of trees, and Clay was moving so fast in the dark, I guess Jerome was expecting Clay to collide with an oak. We got a superfast, "Thanksguys" and I got just the slightest hand touch from Clay and then it was all over.

Oh that's just too funny! BWAH! I wish I could have seen that. Jerome protecting Clay from wild Trees!

Poor tree--it's lucky it didn't get tackled! :lol

NEWARK TOMORROW AND THEN CALIFORNIA HERE I COME ON TUESDAY.  LORRIE HAS TO PUT UP WITH ME FOR ALMOST A WEEK, POOR THING.  SEEING THEA AND MEETING JOHANNA AT THE GREEK.  SEEING SAN DIEGO FOR THE FIRST TIME.  TRYING TO SEE SOME OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BETWEEN CLAYINGS.  I TOLD YOU ALL BEFORE, I HAVE MY PRIORITIES STRAIGHT. :bigsmile :bigsmile :bigsmile

SO, WHAT IS NEW BESIDES FINGERS?   :wow

I went to see IDOL THE MUSICAL.....and guess who shows up? CLAY!!! He brought the posse w/ him - Angela, Quiana, Mary, Jerome, Jamie, plus the girl who we lovingly dub 'Sweater Girl' & an unidentified male (I think it's Sweater Girl's date) I cannot believe of all nights I wound buying a tkt to the show, that he would come finally come & see it for himself.

And guess what? he liked it! Even though parts of the show were so cheesy & ridiculous, he liked it!

He did not boo, hiss or hurl things on the stage. When the show ended, he was the first to stand up & give a standing ovation, which the kids up there REALLY appreciated. The kids were on their full A Game tonight & acted very well, I was so proud of them. I don't know how many of you here have seen the musical - so you may not connect immediately to what I'm trying to say, especially the scenes I'm describing - but this is the best I can as far as connecting those moments to the looks on Clay's face.

Here are what I can gather:

Clay arrived quietly w/ his crew into the theatre around 8:20 - and there were some gasps in the audience when they realize he was inside - and I had a perfect view of him from where I sat, which was off the side, diagonal. Clay was sandwiched btwn Mary & Sweater Chick, Jamie sat w/ Jerome who took an aisle seat. Jerome was so big, his legs stuck out on the sides. I could've tapped him if I wanted but I kept quiet & observed Clay. Quiana & Angela sat one row behind them.

The minute they all seated, the lights dimmed & the 1st no. 'Idolize' started. The actors attacked it w/ so vigor & verocity that it was overwhelming to watch w/ Clay in the audience, & I had a difficult time trying to figure out who to keep my eyes on - him or the actors who were ripping into the no. My eyes were flipping backm & forth..... And Clay's reactions to this were priceless!!! Oh my god - it killed me not to be able to take a photo of his facial expressions when he was watching the 1st no. - he had the program book open, and up against his face, covering his mouth and nose - and when the Flat Clay was unveiled, he jerked in his seat, sending the program flying onto Mary's lap, which he quickly retrieved. Part of the time he was bending to whisper something into either Mary's ear or Sweater Girl's ear. The other times he watched w/ his finger to his lips, taking it all in, or cringing from some of the nos. making his chin disappear into his neck. Everyone around him were choking, they were laughing so hard, & it was real funny watching Jerome wipe his eyes. At one point Clay even yelped 'oh god!'

I can only remember bits & pieces of what I saw of Clay because there were moments I was watching the musical, which has improved some since the first time I saw it the first wk it opened; alot of subtle edits have been done, as well as additions. One of them, was the 'armrest' bit - the cowboy had his feet on the armrest of the couch, prompting the girl Alex, the grease faced gas station attendant, to shout "Get your foot off my armrest!" I missed Clay's reaction on that one, I don't know if audience caught that one, but I'm sure he must've snickered. I did not miss his reaction to the "I'm NOT Kelly Ripa" bit - he nodded his head & clapped his hands for that one.

And the far funniest moments was during the "Burning Hunk of Clay"/Claygasm no. when the actress was making out w/ the Clay bust, then started to remove her cardigan, skirt & pulled out the whip, screaming, "Oh Clay, OH CLAY" his eyes got so big I thought they were going to pop. Mary was shaking all over laughing.

The actors all had their eyes on the left side of the house where Clay sat during the finale, & when they all took a bow one by one, it was almost as if they were saluting Clay. It was a cool moment.

Later, Todd Ellis the producer came towards Clay as the audience filed out, & asked him to stick around so the actors could meet him. The doors closed shut as I stepped outside, but I sat on a stool & waited. Waiting w/ me were 2 others who knows the cast, so they were hanging around to get their loved ones. Behind the door, I could laugh applause, then laughter, then clapping, then Clay talking rapidly; I couldn't make out a word he said, it was too far & somewhat muffled. But they were all having a good time inside, & I felt so glad he made this musical; it turned out Todd went to the Syracuse concert just last wk. & his wife got to talk to Clay for a bit about coming to see the show. That paid off tonight when Clay brought his troop in.

10 minutes later, the doors swung open, & out walked Jerome, Quiana, Sweater Girl & then Clay - they all walked out, & there was a yellow cab outside which Jerome got Clay into. Clay didn't stop for pics or autographs & there were a small group of fans who stood out there. The cab sped West, towards Jersey. I'm willing to bet tomorrow night there may or may not be some mention about Idol The Musical at the Newark concert, but we'll see; if he does, it'd be a great plug for the show.

I was walking around Times Square tonight after the show, grinning like a fool, people were looking at me wondering what the hell was wrong w/ me. They have no idea.....

Clay wore a white button down shirt, baggy canvas shorts, dark flip flops. In the dark, he looked like a glow worm! Mary, Jamie, Sweater girl all work dark colors, as did Jerome; Sweater girl's male companion had a white shirt also, so he also stuck out a little.

Angela & Quiana wore jeans & Angela had some nice bling on & a nice printed top.

i also remembered watching Clay during the slower nos. He couldn't stop rubbing his hands & curling & intertwining his fingers together. That, and coupled w/ his serious, pensive expression was enough to send me over the edge because I found that so hot.

And, he whooped a 'WHOO!' when the musical finished. That was his stamp of approval!

Gwenn ~ have a GREAT time in CA (I know you will).  I truly wish I could have been there too but I think my parents would have disowned me for missing their big anniversary bash.  :lol  What timing!  We will have to plan to do it again.  :bigsmile  The question is.....can you put up with Lorrie for a whole week?  :rofl  Just kiddin', Lorrie!  :hugg

I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE GONE TO THE CONCERT AT THE GREEK. I AM HOPING AND PRAYING IT WILL BE A SPECIAL ONE THAT IS TELEVISED OR RECORDED. I AM ALSO HOPING THAT ITS FILLED TO THE RAFTERS.

AND THAT CLAY SINGS "SEXY BACK" A LITTLE LESS CAMPY AND REALLY SHOWS THEM WHAT HE'S GOT

Unfortunately, Gwenn won't be seeing much of Southern California, cuz some redheaded guy has us awfully busy!!!!  Four concerts in four days doesn't leave a lot of time for sightseeing.

I was talking with Quiana and she thanked me for some pics I sent her that I had taken of her and that she is using on myspace etc... and Quiana told me tonight as we were talking that she hates that they try and crack down on us taking pics...it really disturbes them when they walk up and down the aisle ....interferes with the show.

Jaime is such a cutie..she was so sweet and cute. I told her I loved Clays hair and she said thanks..asked if I liked it shorter hee! I said no.

Jesse talked with us for quite awhile...very sweet. He did not know what a cellcert was so I explanined it to him..he said you guys are very good with the techincal stuff.

Then there was Clay....GORGEOUS beyond words in person tonight...........I tell u I could NOT breath when he cam eoff the stage and sang TWYMMF and looked me right in the eyes up close OMG......WinkatMe too...we both almost sank to our knees....I couldnt even begin to think about taking pics or video...he was so close and gorgeous and OMG the stubble....YUM

Bev ~ all the reserved seating and table seating are sold out I believe but there are still general admission/lawn seating available.  Including all the lawn seating, the venue capacity is 7000.  Big place!

At the SD concert - a nineteen-ish gorgeous girl and her mom sat at our table and had never seen him - they were "blown away" - the young girl was going to the Pala for sure the next day - mom would but couldn't. They fell in love.

At the Pala a young couple sat beside me who had never seen him. I talked to them before the concert and the guy was worried about being the only guy there but I assured him there were lots and there were. At intermission, I asked if he was enjoying it and they both said "he's fantasic and so funny" - I told them that the second half was even better and at the end, they were full blown fans - loved every bit of it.

At the Greek, vanislandgirl and her mom were seated beside us. vig had found out the day before that she had won tickets to the Greek because her montage, which I have linked below, had been picked up by a local newspaper and featured on their website with promotion for the show - she then was asked to enter a "haiku" for a prize and they gave her the tickets. What a doll she is and her mom - I ran into them again at the airport since we were on the same flight home and they were so excited and they're off to NC next weekend.

I'm all verklempt after SD, Pala, and LA. You know, I really thought my honeymoon period with our boyfriend was over. Real life (aka my first real J-O-B) had taken over, and I didn't know how to balance my career, family, friends, and Clay. Three concerts later and all this balance talk has been officially thrown out the window.

I was a total virgin for the show, and was blown away. I know none of this is new, and it has been said so many times in so many different ways. But how does Clay keep getting better, and better, and better? He's amazing. His voice live is so rich and complex - I can't really describe it with my limited vocabulary. And to top it off, all the banter! HELLO?!?!?!? How does the whole world not know about this guy? It simply befuddles me. He's an all around class act, that deserves all the greatness that is sure to come to him.

On Saturday at The Greek, two industry types were sitting behind us with their girlfriends. One couple had gone backstage right before the concert to meet Clay, and his girlfriend kept remarking on how genuinely nice he is. After some banter, industry type #1 said to industry type #2 "...isn't it amazing...all this sh*t in this guy's head?" Maybe in print it doesn't sound like a compliment, but it definitely was. At the end of the show, industry type #2 said that he needs a big album so he can take his act to Las Vegas, along with Quiana and Angela. It was so nice to hear their respect for Clay as a performer.
Today hasn't been very productive...I keep banging my head against my desk wondering why I didn't go to concert #4 in Indio. WHY? Balance is stupid, and probably not for me I'm thinking! *g*

My fangirlyness is back in full force. I think it was probably always there, just got covered up for a small moment. I realized that whatever I have for Clay - this protectiveness, this wanting/willing him to succeed, this love - is a permanent fixture in my life. Now if only I could feel this way about a real boyfriend...life would be even sweeter!

LOL!! It was veeerrrrrrry goooood!!! I keep replaying it in my head over and over and over. Certain ex-pressions he made, mannerisms, the way the light caught his eyes (as they bored right through me), the stubble 8 inches from my face, the haaaaaaaands while he was talking, his pouty lips while he was concentrating on something, the sound of his voice actually talking to meeeeeee, the feel of his hand holding mine, the feel of being snugged up under his arm with my head on his chest...gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I was so lucky that the camera was having problems so we had to stand all mooshed up together for an extra long time! I told Jamie to just take her sweet time getting it fixed....

He was very welcoming, and all the nerves that were holding a ping-pong tournament in my stomach just disappeared when we walked into the room.

Before we went in though, Jerome came out to get us and tried to "sort us out" a little. Said he was trying to assess the crowd to determine if we were hyper or calm. He went to each person (there were five of us) and stated his impression. He came to me last and said very slowly "you I'm a little concerned with" I nearly died laughing! He said I was too quiet and didn't ask questions or anything and he couldn't figure me out. I said I was just trying to be the Invisible Woman so I didn't do something wrong!!

So off we went. It was very relaxed...he just shook our hands and invited us to sit on the couches that were there. Asked us our names and where we were from, then we got to ask questions. It was more conversational than anything. Every question lead to a little discussion....and we were able to ask as many as we wanted to in the time we had. I asked three and ran out of questions! (Well, ones that are appropriate that wouldn't scare the crap out of him, anyway! lol ) I asked him what happened to Boo from the Y camp....he said he honestly didn't know, but that now he felt bad that he didn't so he was going to research it and find out. Said he wouldn't dare go back to that area unless he was in a Y bus, but that he'd find out somehow!

I also asked what was the worst book he ever read, and did he finish it. His first answer was "Learning to Sing. " Then he got serious and said any book in school that he was forced to read...but if he had to pick one he'd go with Siddartha. Hated it. That and "any of that Dickens crap. " He doesn't get into symbolism and doesn't want to have to "think" when he reads.

Then I asked him what the design was on his new ring. It says "Use your voice" in Latin and he got it from a fan.

Others asked about the next tour (he alluded to possibly next summer for that,) the possibilty of doing a duet with one of the girls on the next CD (he and Quiana originally recorded "I Want to Know What Love Is" but the label wanted someone else,) and what he thought of Brazil (he hated it. Said the whole place smelled of urine and that he couldn't believe that you're allowed to just pee in the street there! ) Someone also asked if he was studying for "5th grader" and he said he wasn't and felt pretty comfortable....unless they started in on science ("i'm screwed" ) and math ("that could be a problem" )

We gave him grief about not coming to tour in the west enough...

Then he signed our stuff...took him forever to figure out the right-side-up of the picture I gave him...then Jerome asked if he could see it so he could see why it was so complicated! It was a close up black and white picture of his gorgeous hands with the mic stand between them, fingers outstretched. After many attempts to find the right way, every one in the room said "thumbs go up, Clay!"

The picture was the best. He looked deliciously like he had just rolled out of bed...all scruffy and stubbled and bed-headed. But the best part was, as I said, the snuggly part. I think I was the luckiest....cuz even though a couple got full hugs and one got a kiss on the cheek (he was trying to get her in trouble,) I got to hold him for the longest time. It was HEAVEN. I could have seriously stayed like that forever. His right arm was around my waist pulling me in tightly and he held my right hand in his left. It was a typical prom pose...I snuggled my head so deep that I think the collar of his shirt covered my eye in the picture! But Who. Cares.....the picture ain't about seeing ME!

All in all, it was about 30 minutes with him I think. Truly wonderful.

And the concerts? OMG. Awesome. Incredible. Hysterical. Amazing!!!

I just wanted to say that I was at Mohegan Sun today, buying tickets to a Paul Anka concert. I asked the girl there if Clay Aiken was going to be coming there on Dec. 9th because I had heard rumors that he might be. She checked the computer and told me that yes, he would be there. She did not know when tickets would go on sale. This is certainly not an official confirmation, but just thought I would share what she told me. My friend went up to the window after lunch and asked the same question and got the same answer that I did. So, I'm hoping we'll hear something really official soon, since this venue is nice and close to me and I'm sure many others are planning to go there as well if it actually happens!

 There seems to be a lot of questions about the new ring that Clay is wearing. I'd like to answer them so rumors don't get started. I've seen a lot of wrong information out there.

I designed the ring as a gift for Clay as he seemed to miss playing with his ring. Because I thought he would not simply buy another after auctioning his off I felt it needed to be a gift somehow.
The ring was sent to him by 4 fans, MorganRowan, Kitty4Clay, Clay'sAngel43 and MsIdolfan. They can share thier real names if they would like. We are all members of a board named Clay Aiken Please Click Here. In the card I told Clay it was his to play with and no feelings would be hurt if he did not wear it. He has chosen to wear it and of course we are all thrilled with that. Clay really loves his fans.

I can answer any questions you may have. I'll answer some of the most common here along the way.

I choose Latin because it looks interesting and will make people say . . . what does your ring say . . . at which point Clay can tell them and share his message. If it simply said Use Your Voice that opportunity would be lost.

The ring is also inscribed in Latin on the inside. I can not at this point tell you what it says because Clay does not know. (unless he's figured it out ) It's a rather challenging phrase for him to play with for awhile. I told him in the card that I would give him a few weeks to decipher it. I promise all of you that you will love what it says on the inside as it is a message from each and every one of us.

The ring is Titanium and has two grooves that run on the top and bottom of the engraving and I believe that's what is catching the light. The ring sparkles and glints off the stage more than I ever imagined. If you've been to a recent concert, you might have noticed how it catches the light and shines making many believe it has diamonds in it. It does not - its simply engraved. I wish Clay could see how it glints off the lights and how cool it looks.

I think I have about 4 million. Seriously, I sweat like a man.  :para

In San Diego I sat in front of a middle-aged man who was there by himself. At intermission he told me he had a master's degree in voice, so listened to singers with a very critical ear. He said Clay has improved so much over the last four years, and that he has one of the most pitch-perfect voices he's ever heard. The last time he heard Clay was on the Christmas Special, and he said that wasn't really very good. (IIRC Clay had bronchitis around that time, didn't he?) Anyway, he said Clay is a natural baritone with a fabulous falsetto range, and that (I think I heard this correctly) it takes a lot of testosterone to sing in the upper head range. It's harder on the voice, but everybody wants to hear those high notes. He took some grief from his daughter about attending a Clay Aiken concert, but it didn't bother him at all. He likes Clay, and also Michael Buble. He was also impressed with Clay's charitible works, and his down-to-earth personality. I may be sexist, but somehow comments like his are more meaningful coming from a man.

EVERYONE HEADING TO RALEIGH -- HAVE A SAFE TRIP AND I LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING A LOT OF YOU. 

Wouldn't you know it, the temperature next week will be 10-12 degrees cooler than this week.  At least you'll be able to tell everyone you had a "hot time in the old town tonight"--both the temperature and the man.

I'm sorry I haven't written in so long, but I've reached a breaking point and I need to talk to somebody.

You remember me, right? I'm part of Clay Aiken, although I like to think that I have a life of my own sometimes. You know who I am--I'm one of Clay's most talked about body parts. Yep, that's me.

I'm so tired, though. I'm tired of being gawked at and pulled and yanked and blown on. I'm dry and then I'm wet and then I'm dry again. I'm stiff and then I'm soft and then I'm stiff again and sometimes I don't know what I am. I don't know which end is up sometimes. Or sideways. Or to the left or right or straight up the middle. I have feelings too, you know. Now, don't get me wrong, it feels great to have somebody take control and do their thing, especially if I can just lie there and get manipulated and whatnot. And especially if they are good at what they do. If you know what I mean, and I think that you do.

But I'm tired of being gawked at and everybody wondering who's been touching me. The fact of the matter is, LOTS of people touch me, including Clay himself. Lots of people would like to get their hands on me, that's for sure. I like it best when Clay touches me, though. He has very nice, gentle, long fingers, you know? Gosh, I'm not even sure I can remember everybody who's had their hands on me. Carmen, KimL, for sure. Angela, lots of times. She's grabbed a handful on stage more than once, let me tell ya. Whew. And some if it's on permanent clack, even.

Sometimes I can be all soft and vulnerable, you know? But then somebody gets their hands on me and before I know what's hit me, I'm all long or stiff or sticking out in all directions. It's so embarassing to know that fan boards are talking about me all the time. I just never know what I'm going to be doing, to tell you the truth. It all depends on who's had their hands on me, and how good they are at what they do. Honestly, I've had amateurs do more for me than paid professionals. How weird is THAT?

*Sigh*

Clay left NYC yesterday(Wednesday). I saw him at the airport waiting for his flight to Raleigh. I was on stand-by for the same flight, but did not get on. He was alone. He was escorted on the plane by a VIP rep & was the first one on it.

I think Clay is becoming more comfortable out in public.  When was the last time we saw the bucket hat?  That makes me feel good!

I did read about that, Pam!  I suppose all celebrities have OTT fans.  It's scary!  I'm hoping Clay is trusting in us a little more......he certainly seems more comfortable. However, I'm always glad when I see Jerome by his side.  I can't understand why someone feels they have the right to touch another person without that person's permission....and especially in an inappropriate way.  As Bev said, it's embarrassing and disgusting, and oh sooooo wrong! 

Heck, I barely touched Clay's hand in the bus line, and he was offering it!

What amused me was that she seemed more irritated that someone touched her man, than that they grabbed his... accessories.

Local symphony members to back singer up during Biltmore Estate show

First, “American Idol” star Taylor Hicks played Asheville. Then it was Daughtry. Both were wildly popular shows at The Orange Peel club.

Now Carolina-born Clay Aiken hits town for a Saturday night concert at Biltmore Estate. And it’s going to the biggest local “Idol” show yet, at least in turnout, with 3,000 fans in the house.

With Aiken backed by members of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, it sounds like the makings for a night of smooth music. And while Aiken may not rock as hard as the B-52’s — who had a huge Biltmore crowd in a frenzy last weekend — he’s got a wildly loyal audience and Aiken can work a crowd.

Here’s the lowdown on Aiken and Saturday’s show.

Tickets: Forget about it. (See Moonshot for tickets! :smile ) Most were sold long ago, and it’s unlikely any will remain at the box office this weekend.

Who is this guy: Born in Raleigh, Aiken has been singing for years, doing various local gigs around the state — including singing the national anthem for sports teams. He was a student at UNC Charlotte when his life changed through his appearance on season two of “Idol,” and though he didn’t win, it shot him to enormous fame. His first album, “Measure of Man” in 2003, sold 613,000 copies in its first week, the biggest debut for a solo artist in a decade. He followed with a holiday album, then the pop album “A Thousand Different Ways,” which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s album charts.

The show here: In an interesting twist, Aiken has hired about four dozen members of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra to perform at the Biltmore Estate concert. The orchestra will only have one rehearsal — Saturday before the performance — then will perform such tunes as “Lover All Alone,” “A Thousand Days,” “Because You Loved Me,” “Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word,” “Because You Loved Me,” “Everytime You Go Away,” “Right Here Waiting” and more.

Have fun, stay calm: Last Saturday’s concert by the B-52’s had fans up and dancing from the first song and many spilled out into a central aisle and pushed their way to the front of the seating area. Biltmore is asking all fans who want to dance to just move to the side of the seating area, so they won’t block anyone’s view. Don’t try to get near the stage.

Leave umbrellas, cameras, recorders and outside food and drink at home. Beer, wine and some light foods are sold inside the concert area.

Give yourself plenty of time to get to the 8 p.m. show. Guests will park in lots away from the concert area, then be shuttled to the performance, and when it’s done, taken back to their cars.

A tip: Write down the number of the lot where your car is left.

Good morning! I didn't stick around last night to see all the Clack coming in and the tears flowing, but what a wonderful thing to wake up to in Clay fandom. Thank you to jojoct for that beautiful video of "Because You Loved Me", and to everyone else who brings the Clack for us to share last night with you.

I think I understand the feeling of peace and calm some of you are expressing today. It seems to me that last night's events finally, FINALLY provided a small but satisfying pinch of resolution, of vindication, that many fans have been craving for such a long time.

Now obviously I don't know what was in Clay's mind last night; for all I know, he was thinking about Hot Pockets. But I know had it been I, it would have taken every ounce of courage in my being to step on that stage and give my all publicly for two hours under those circumstances. And that's exactly what Clay did, and more. He strode out there with purpose and determination and even joy, and did what he does so well. He gave the audience what it came for, and the audience gave him what he needs.

But so much more than a concert happened last night. With the support of his hometown fans (and some hardy travelers as well), he -- and we -- finally faced down the physical presence of a psychological trauma that had been allowed to grow much too big, allowed to haunt all of us for much too long.

By facing it, by acknowledging it together without words, everyone there reduced that presence into nothing but a shadow, a wisp of smoke, a fading and ultimately insignificant bad dream. A thousand souls and minds (and glowsticks) joined together in the unspoken yet thundering message, "You are nothing. We are everything. Begone!"

I hope Clay felt a little of the sense of victory that I'm feeling today. And I wasn't even there.

Or maybe I was, really. Maybe we all were.

But so much more than a concert happened last night. With the support of his hometown fans (and some hardy travelers as well), he -- and we -- finally faced down the physical presence of a psychological trauma that had been allowed to grow much too big, allowed to haunt all of us for much too long.

I was unaware that Ethel had become part of Team Clay, but apparently so, as a few minutes later she (flashlight in hand) loudly walked up and down the line admonishing people (including some well-known and experienced Clack gatherers) to not use their flash and to line up in single file. Grrrr... As Clay and the entourage began to come up the hill, they were preceded by a loud woman in a yellow shirt with a flashlight, reminding us to stay in single file. Grrrrrr again... Then Jerome let Ethel on the bus, but she only stayed a couple of minutes. Grrrr anyway.

Aha! The secret to getting close to Clay is... getting close to Ethel! :wink

Does anyone else other then me, think Clay needs a new publicist? I swear he is never in the news anymore, or on the Radio, or anything. Every once in a blue moon, you will hear a TV Celeb Gossip show talk about him, but usually it's negative. He needs more exposure then what he's getting.

I've not downloaded all of the Lover All Alone clack from this tour, however out of that I've heard...over half and including the concerts I personally attended (Pala, Greek, Cary, Asheville) I've been particularly interested in those in which the cellist is highly skilled and plays the contrapuntal line prominently phrased to compliment Clay's vocal.  With that criteria, the West Palm Beach version linked here and the performance at the Greek are most satisfactory and beautifully rendered.

Once an active cellist myself, the Lover All Alone cello part it to die for...and it is obvious that Paul loved the piece.  I am so very glad that this musician's artistry graced Clay's concluding performances of his brilliant Lover All Alone.  Also in mentioning...I absolutely think that Lover All Alone is 'Grammy's worthy...should that organization overcome it's Clay bias at last, and acknowledge this amazing talent we've all come to love so dearly.

The backyard is big enough. Heck, Clay could do a concert there. I could fit plenty of seating out there. Hmmmmm ..... but Kansas in November might be a bit chilly. That just means he'll have to come back next summer.
