SESSION 121 OH MY GOODNESS, OH MY GOODNESS, OH MY GOODNESS!!!

Here is how we started:

Welcome, everyone to the very first meeting of the "OCD Support Group". (Obsessive Clay Disorder)

I am shy, so I walk slowly into the room and find a seat in the back. The meeting begins and there is a room full of claymaniacs. It is very quiet. I raise my hand very slowly. Pamela notices and asks, " Do you have something to share?" My knees are shaking, but I am able to finally get the words out.
"Hi. My name is Woodstock. And I suffer from OCD." The room erupts with applause. I hear so many things around me..."Welcome, Woodstock, what a great step to admit that!" "I do, too..." "We're all with you..." And I knew immediately that I have come to the right place.

We all talk about it, and joke about it, but this can be a serious subject,too. I love Clay, but quite honestly, I have worried about why I spend SO much time listening to him, downloading everything..talking about him on-line , taping EVERY TV show . And more than anything, simply thinking about him night and day. He enters my thoughts in the middle of just about everything! What is going on???
I am a 50-year-old (yikes) wife and mother of three children aged 18, 21 and 23. I have a career and am involved in many things. Then somehow, Clay has entered the picture and I fear he has taken over more of my life than I care to admit.

I realized awhile back that I suffered from OCD. But it was hard to admit to anyone. My 18-year-old son kept telling me that I was obsessed, and after awhile, I began to think he was right. And I spent night and day wondering what was wrong with me. Why are my thoughts going to Clay in the middle of a a school lesson or a church sermon? Why can't I wait to get home and turn on a Clay CD or check out claymaniacs.com to get new info on Clay? If Clay was going to be on a TV station that I didn't get, I HAD to find someone to tape it for me. I was beginning to think I was losing my mind. REALLY!!!

Then I found claymaniacs. It has been wonderful for me to talk to you. The more I got to know you guys, the more I was able to let it all hang out. And what did I learn? I'm NOT the only one. There is something about this guy that grabs you and wraps around your heart, and you're hooked. You are NOT going crazy, I have come to learn after talking to so many of you. I get pms and e-mails from people after I have posted something I couldn't admit anywhere else, and I realize I'm not alone! And it has been a great comfort to me. It took a little while, but I now know that I'm OK. And I feel much better. Now, I am enjoying Clay SO MUCH MORE, because I am not worrying about myself.

Let me make this perfectly clear: I am not over my OCD! I still think about Clay all the time (24/7?) and listen to him sing(OMG) constantly, and download, and chat about him. But I no longer worry that there is something wrong with me. I know I am not alone. There is something so very special about this man. He is the whole package. Because I was able to feel better after admitting things to you guys here, I decided that this is a thread that is needed here. Here is your place to vent. Admit your feelings, or confess something that you have thought or done. It is our hope that by doing that, you will find out that it's OK and you will stop worrying about yourself, and now be able to enjoy Clay even more. I hope this is a place everyone can come back to as needed.

Rules, rules, rules.... Everyone must promise to be kind, respectful, non-judgemental, and supportive. (Easy for claymaniacs.) Again, this is your place to get something off your chest, or just admit your OCD and accept it. So, let the discussions begin!
Just for fun, if you join in the conversation, you then become an official charter member of the OCD Support Group, and can add that to your signature if you wish. I look forward to each and every one of your posts.

That was the beginning of Session 1.

And now on to Session 121.  WHO WOULD EVER HAVE THOUGHT??? We are moving along. I am SO happy so many of you have stayed around for the long haul, and welcome each and every new friend here. I say WOW!!!!! Good times with good friends. That is what this is all about.

I am no longer including a detailed description of our Therapy Center (just pretend, for those of you that are new.) I will just say that we meet in a Cyber Cottage on a Street With No Name. We have to continue the THUD room, as it is such an important part of our therapy. So please feel free to frequent it as needed. For more details, please read a past thread.(Located in the Archives.) And Pepe did ask for a Cybermaid to come in once a month. These girls have always been high maintenance, but worth it.

As for the rules, these are to keep the place somewhere we all are proud to come to:
I will repeat the rules, because we now have 6!!! At the request of Bocaqueen, we have added #6:
YOU MUST BE: 1. kind 2. respectful 3. non-judgmental 4. supportive
AND 5. YOU MUST NEVER SAY THE "s" word. (sorry). No need to apologize for thoughts and feelings. 6. No dieting when at OCD meetings. Period.

And I am going to take it upon myself to add a suggestion (one that many people make to me), but not make it a rule. It is your choice as your time allows. But I am going to say that if you don't have time PLEASE DON'T FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO KETCHUP !!! Jump in and say hi, tell us what is up in your Clay world, and have good conversation. Yes, you may miss someone's post, but we never want being here to be so time-consuming that it causes frustration, family problems, or a cause to drive you away. We never want ANYONE to feel they need to address each person. It is simply impossible and no one expects it anymore. If some people choose to do that, it is their choice, but simply not expected. We have grown so big, and happily so!!! So, let's just jump in, read one page behind, and enjoy the conversation. Not a rule!!!! Just something that has been suggested to me many times...

And our OCD pact: No hard feelings if someone doesn't mention you in their post. We are getting far too big for that to ever be a reality again, but we are blessed by many new friends. We are a happy group here. And we intend to keep it that way.

Every now and then someone pms with me a concern, idea, or observation. I appreciate and take to heart each and every pm. I feel we are all equal in this thread, equal partners, but because I started this thread some people come to me, and I am happy to help if I can. Recently, someone came to me asking me to remind everyone that we are a PG thread, we are "family friendly", as Clay would see it, and we do welcome in friends of all ages. If the spirit moves you, and you feel your comments may not be within PG, claymaniacs does have threads for this.  There is the Black Leather Pants thread and the Motor City Red Thong Mafia thread in Current Community Central, and the Adult Playground forum in Communities. Thank you for understanding this. I do not think we have crossed the line, in my opinion, but it does not hurt to bring this subject up as one of concern to some OCDers.

This has come up again. People want to have fun here, and we do, don't we??? Let it continue, but we welcome friends of all ages, so let us keep it PG.

Here is a toast to all of you that we may be here for 100 more sessions.  We stick together thru sickness, trouble, happiness and we are always here to pick each other up and put a smile on your face.  I talk to more of my OCD family than I do my own blood relatives.  You are so important to me and are a main part of my life.  I have never received so many cards or gifts before and every day is exciting to see what you are all doing and who needs comforting and who needs feeding.  My heart is full of love for each of you !

Happy 100 Everyone!

Sometimes when I think about coming to Claymaniacs and finding the OCD, it's hard for me to believe that it's been over 2 years since I first started coming here.  Like many of you, I was one of those people who wasn't sure about the feelings I had about how much I enjoyed Clay's music and how I wanted to know so much about him and how I couldn't wait to see him on another show.  I felt like it was an "obsession" and that word doesn't normally have a good connotation.  When I found the OCD and realized that there were many other people with the same "condition" I was so relieved.  I felt welcome here from the very beginning.  I lurked for awhile and then I started PMing with Clandy as we were getting ready for the big North Carolina concert weekend and she convinced me to start posting more.  What a great decision that was!

I have been lucky enough to meet most of the people that post at the OCD.  I have made many, many friends here and was lucky enough to meet one of my best friends here.  It may have been Clay that initially brought us together, but that's not why we stay.  We stay for each other. 

Here's to 100 more sessions!!

WOMEN WHO BECOME VERY CLOSE FRIENDS- WHO WELCOMED ME WITH OPEN ARMS, WHO LISTENED TO MY MOANS AND GROANS WHEN I WAS DOWN, WHO SUPPORTED ME WHEN I NEEDED IT

AND I FOUND, STRANGELY ENOUGH, THAT THE MORE I POSTED ON THIS BOARD, THE MORE PEOPLE I FOUND THAT WERE JUST THE SAME.

"The Starfish Story"

A little girl was walking along a beach that was covered with thousands of starfish left dying in the sun by the receding tide.  Seeking to help, she picked up a starfish and tossed it back into the ocean.

A man, amused by her action, said to her "Little girl, there are too many starfish.  You will never make a difference."  Discouraged, she began to walk away.  Suddenly, she turned around, picked up another starfish, and tossed it as far as she could back into the sea.  Turning to the man, she smiled and said, "I made a difference to that one!"

The man looked at the girl inquisitively and thought about what she had said and done.  Inspired, he joined the little girl in throwing the starfish back into the sea.  Soon others joined, and all the starfish were saved.

Somedays this site can be hard when we come for fun but real life seems to get in the way.  But I truly believe that one of us whether it be a hug, a post, or a little positive comment that we don't make a difference in someones life here.....Lorraine

PRAYER LIST

Welcome to The OCD's/Claymaniac's Prayer List. Many of our OCD/Claymaniac members have expressed a desire to share our Love, Care and Concern for each other through the Love and Faith we share in Our Lord. This has resulted in starting a Prayer List that includes the names of our members that have requested to be prayed for and therefore, reflects the needs or petitions of/for the individual.

We will divide this list into three areas for prayers.  The first will be for a general/daily prayer, next is for Urgent/"SOS's" to God as emergencies arise, and last is for circumstances that we are aware of or that the individual has they, themselves requested.

We are doing this away from the main pages as not to offend anyone who is not of likemindedness. We ask that as we respect your decision not to join us in Prayer, that you accept our need, as believers, to minister to each other in this fashion.

We do, however, invite you to read our list, and if you would like to, just take the time to think good thoughts and well wishes for those who are suffering or in need.

I hope you all bear with me in overseeing this list. If you find I have not included someone., it is either because they requested not to be included or that I am not sure where you stand on this issue. If you would like to be added to the list, please PM me with your request. If I have added you in error, my apologies and please notify me thru PM asap.

Everyone who has requested to be part of this group will be listed daily. If there is nothing beside your name, it is either I am not sure if something that you told me was announced publicly or privately to me and therefore for privacy issues, I would not take the chance to include it. Know that if it is not there and I am aware of it, as any of you may know things about one another that we ALL are not privy to....please remember to include those in your private prayers. ------------------------------------------------------------

CLAY AIKEN: Most merciful Father...our prayers are for Your obedient steward, Clay.  Lord, Clay does Your work utilizing his beautiful voice for Your praise and glory and the benefit of children and all people..we ask that you guide him to where he can best share Your love and aid those without a voice.  Thank you for this young messenger you've sent to us who exemplifies doing Your will and sharing Your word.  We pray for Clay's protection...please keep him safe on whatever path he may be at the moment.  Keep Clay strong for the journey ahead.  Let his good deeds shine forth and forever change the lives of the less fortunate who have been victims of horrendous hardship.

Father, Clay is going through difficult and personal issues....meanspirited people are constantly attacking this wonderful young man.  We ask that You give him the strength to get through these vicious attacks and let him continue getting through these hurtful times with grace, dignity and a continued faith that You are always by his side carrying him through.
Also, we ask that You watch over Clay's brother, Brett, who is serving in the military. Please, keep their Mother, Faye Parker strong, in the midst of such worry for both of her beloved sons. Father, grant us, these, our urgent requests.



Alli_Aiken/Alli: Father of Mercy, we come to You over and over, always asking something of You.  In Your Love and Mercy, You listened to the prayers of Your faithful.  Our young, sweet friend Alli had been diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease but is now, thankfully in remission.  We knew that medically, this is one of the most curable of Cancers.  However, we had knowledge beyond that of the medical type...we had knowledge of You....the Master Physician and Healer.  We knew that You would be carrying Alli through every step of her healing.  We ask You continue to lay Your healing hands upon this wonderful young lady. Thank You O Merciful Lord.

ClayDevotee/Thea: Father Almighty, Father of Mercy....You have nothing but love and concern for Your children.  Our dear friend, Thea, has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had been undergoing daily treatments until recently.  The treatments have now stopped.  The Dr's have advanced so far in helping people diagnosed with this dreadful disease, however, we know that You are the answer to everything.  We ask You once again, to lay your healing hands on Thea and cure her of any disease that may have been invading her body.  Give her strength and courage  along with even a deeper faith at this most trying time.  We are here Father to aid our friend along the way...use us to do Your will and minister to one another.

Claymaniac2000/Janet:  Dearest Lord...We come to you with great concern about our friend Janet.  Janet has been suffering with back pain and Shingles for awhile now, however, today, she could not feel her legs and was taken to the ER.  Please, we ask that there be nothing serious happening and that she will soon be home and back to normal.  As for her aches and pains that she has had, we pray that You heal her and restore her to a pain free life.  Thank You for always hearing our petitions.

LadyC/Kris: Heavenly Father, we ask and ask of You. This time we come to you on behalf of our friend Kris.  Kris has had to face many trials in this lifetime......we ask that You look upon our friend with mercy, and heal her from all afflictions and ease her many burdens.  Lord, we know that You are merciful and kind and that You will hear the plea of Your faithful.  Thank You for the grace You bestow upon us.

Pamela:  Father of Love and Mercy, we come to you on behalf of a very special friend and her mother.  At this moment, Pamela's mother is in a hospital in Tenn. with breathing problems and blood pressure issues.  We ask that you watch over her and heal her of any medical  problems.  May you give her strength and courage to get through this difficult time.  We also ask that You help Pamela though this frightening situation and gently remind her that You are there to handle all of the burden and to be leaned upon always. Thank You Lord, for always being our strength and comfort.

Wordsmith1223/Lynn: Father, orchestrator of all things, we came to You in prayer and implored You to lay Your healing hands on Charlie and restore him to perfect health. You heard us and have taken the Life-Threatening threat away from this young man.  The news looks positive, however Charlie is suffering with eye issues and he will need a Cornea Replacement in the aftermath of his illness.  We ask that there will be no permanent damage, and we are confident knowing You will heal him.   Father, You are the Master Physician and we place all faith in You and thanking You always for allowing us to come to You with these our prayers.

CLAYMANIAC FRIEND'S: 


ACCOUNTRYFAN/JERRY :Father, we are very concerned with our friend Jerry's High Blood Pressure.  Please, help him to get this under control and be aware of the things that cause this problem. Also, we ask You to help him to face new experiences without anxiety. Thank you for the friendship he brings to us.

AIKENISMYIDOL/MONICA : Loving Father, Give Monica direction, courage and the ability to use all the many talents she possesses. We ask that You grant our young friend good health and happiness always.

alli_aiken/Alli:Dearest Father, Our young friend is carrying around a heavy heart....she is finding college difficult even though she graduated at the top of her High School Class.  Change is difficult for anyone, but, it is especially hard on someone at this age.  Alli also has a financial burdens.  These burdens are part of the depression she is experiencing.  Also, she feels lonely.  We ask that You comfort her, give her strength and guide her to where she needs to be in her life.  Lord, we are all here for our friend, but,  please, put her together with some wonderful people her age that she may enjoy this special time of her life.

ANGELA : Our friend Angela has been at her job for many years and is in danger of losing it...please grant her peace of mind that all things will work out for the best in whatever direction You may lead her. Also, Angela's Dad had a seizure in the recent past and there is constant concern for him because of this and other health issues.  We once again ask you to hear the prayers of so many that care, and watch over this loving father and husband. 

BOCAQUEEN/SUSAN : Lord, Please remember Susan's Mother who has suffered for 8 years with a dibiliating cough and who also has a Brain Anuerysm. Both of Susan's sons have very high blood pressure and we pray that there is no danger to them from reprecussions of this pressure. We also ask for Little Stephanie who has Hydrochephalis and numerous other health issues. Lord of Mercy, we know that Stephanie's battles are far from over but we come to You, the Master Physician, asking to please, heal this child of all her many afflictions and give strength and comfort to those who love and care for her. Also, we pray for healing for Susan's little cousin Angela who has severe Autism. We also ask that You heal our friend Susan from the symptoms she is suffering with from her Graves Disease and Severe Hyperthyroidism.

BOZENA : Please Father, continue to give healing to her ankle that has had many surgeries. May Bozena have success with weightloss as it is important towards getting her Diabetes under control. Lord, please bless our wonderful caring friend for her good works...she is a testament to Your way.
 

Clays_Buddy/Liz.... Loving Father, our dear friend Liz has lost her battle with her illness, ALS, but has now gained everlasting peace.  She meant so very much to us, and has touched all of our lives.  We now pray for her family: for Eric, her dear husband that couragiously faced this illness with Liz and was there for her all the way.  For her son, Blake, we pray that he will carry his mother's loving memories his whole life, and remember all the wonderful things she taught him raising this fine son.  And we pray for Liz's Mom, Lauretta, and the rest of her family as they deal with their terrible grief.  May memories and knowing she is now in your loving hands bring comfort to them all.


claysjoy/Kris :Most gracious and understanding Father, we know you hear each and every prayer...we come to You and ask You to have mercy and grant another request....our friend Kris is having her patience tried and is suffering within and needs your help to cope. Please, we ask that You embrace her with Your presence and calm her. Bring peace and serenity into her life , that she is in such need of. Thanks be to You O Lord.

CL4CLAY/EVELYN : Lord,  Our beloved friend  Evelyn has Hyperthyroidism and is suffering from many of it's symptoms , but is most worried about the Double Vision it is causing. Please Father, we ask that You stabilize Evelyn's condition and take away this  trouble with her eyes as it is also dangerous for her to get around. May you look upon our special friend with favor and bless her with all that makes for a good life...health, happiness and love.

claydevotee/Thea : Father,  please shower Thea and her loved ones with all of Your wondrous blessings.

CLAYFAN4LYF88/KIMMY :Lord, Our young friend is suffering with depression.  Please, lift Kimmy's spirits and take away all the pain she is going through. 

Claymaniac113078/Cindy: Father of Love and protector of all, we humbly beseech You to surround Cindy and her family with Your light, keeping all evil away and letting no harm befall this precious family. Burdens were many and we prayed that You would lift and ease the heartache.....and You did.  Loving Lord, we knew there would be only one set of footprints, and there were, for You  carried them through this trial and gave Cindy and her family strength and comfort. Thanks be to You O Lord. Please, bless Cindy and her loved ones with, health, happiness and lots of love.  We give thanks and praise for Your bringing an end to the turmoil that had been faced by this wonderful family.

CLAYMANIAC2000/JANET : Merciful Lord, we ask for healing for Janet's back pain and health issues.  May You watch over Janet as she lives alone and we worry about our friend.

CTlovesCLAY/LINDA :Lord of Mercy, dear Linda is suffering with many health issues and her eyes are of particular concern.   Please, heal her of all these woes. Father, please give Strength and comfort to our friend as she also cares for her Mother and Mother-in-law. It is most difficult and exhausting being a caretaker, but such a pure and selfless act.  Also, we ask for healing FOR both these women who are ill. We ask that you bless Linda with nothing less than health, happiness and lots of love.

DUDLEY5 : Heal our friend from her cancer Lord, for You are the Master Physician with whom all things are possible. Thank you dear God for bringing Dudley safely out of her surgeries and we ask that you give her strength, comfort and hope to believe that she will *~*SoOoN!!*~* be through with all this heartache and fear.
Also, prayers are being sent up for her beloved son who is a Pilot...Lord, You surely know the nature of what he is in urgent need of.  Please, watch over him , keeping him safe from all harm and give his family strength and comfort during this difficult time.

fhmmany :Bless our friend dearest Father, and protect this lovely person , her husband Lewis and all her loved ones, from any ill. May happiness always surround Frankie and her beloved family.
Grant peace, prosperity, and especially good health to this generous, warmhearted and caring lady. May You heal her granddaughter Laney, from all her ear problems.

FLAKENFORAIKENINFL : Lift our dear friend's spirits as she struggles with personal issues. O most merciful Lord, please help our friend with the heavy burden she is carrying at her job, this is the time she would need to see just "one" set of footprints.....please Father...Carry her through this. Lord...we also ask that you watch over  her husband Roy, her daughter's and parents as well .

forever_clay/Amanda :Please, most merciful Father, guide Amanda, Your precious Child, to a place that will make her happy and whole. Let her realize she has many who care and are concerned for her and her wellbeing. Give Amanda Hope, Comfort and craddle her in Your Loving arms. May whatever is missing or difficult in her relationships at home be healed and replaced with unconditional love and acceptance.

Geraldine/Charlene:  Father in Heaven, we come to you on behalf of our sweet friend Charlene and her family.  We ask that You watch over them always keeping them safe from harm and all evil.  We especially are worried about Charlene's son who is suffering severe depression.  Lord, You alone can lift this mans spirits and help him through these trying times.  Heal him and bring sunshine, laughter and love back into his life.  May this family be filled with Your Spirit and turn to You for all their needs.  We thank You for hearing all of our prayers . We know that You answer them in Your own time and in Your own way, knowing what is best for us.

GLORY/DIANE :Lord, we worry so about our special friend.  She struggles in many areas of her life, and we ask that You intervene and ease her burdens.  Keep Glory healthy and provide her with all that is necessary for her to get through these trying times. We also thank You for bringing Diane's son and family back to the States safely where they can be together with their loving Mother. Tim is a missionary who has lived his life doing your will Father and spreading Your word  and now he, his wife and their new baby girl have relocated back here to the States.  Tim has not found a place, as of yet, to continue doing Your work.... Please direct this family where they can best serve You O' Lord.

HER/JAYNE :.Dearest Lord, we prayed to You asking for our dear friend Jayne to be in a position where she would find happiness and strength and Lo and Behold You have once again answered our prayers. Father, in all Your mercy You brought a wonderful man, by the name of Kirk, into Jayne's life. Kirk has given Jayne love abounding and treats her with kindness and respect, and all things that were missing in her life for so long.  Soon, the Two shall become One, and we ask that You continue to bless this union. Our prayers are also continuous for Jayne's Dad and healing from his cancer and his knee replacement. Jayne's younger brother also has had health issues and our prayers are with him as well. Thanks be to You o Lord!

HOUSTON/COLLEEN
Most merciful and loving Father, You have answered our prayers yet again by blessing Colleen and Scott with beautiful twin girls. Abby and Annie have bought such joy and happiness to this family. However Father, as You know, little Annie had been suffering from Seizures and possibly has developmental issues......Please, we ask You to heal this precious little girl. Father, we also ask that You Heal Colleen's brother who is paralyzed on one side and give strength to his family as they care for him.  It is most difficult being a caretaker and dealing with the heartache as well. Bless this family and provide them with strength and courage.

ILCLAYMATE/ANGELA :  Bless Our friend Angela for all the joy she brings to us each day. May You shower this family with Your gifts of health, happiness, love and prosperity.  Also we ask that You heal Angela's husbands shoulder and keep him free of pain.  Watch over litlle Nicker's as he is truly a special little boy who is loved by all.

Carpal Tunnel is another issue that causes much pain and difficulty for our dear friend. Please, lay Your healing hands upon this wonderful woman and restore her to the best health possible.  Also, we ask that You keep our friend safe from all ill and enrich her life with all that would bring her happiness.

YIKES, it's late....but we were having fun and I don't have to get up early tomorrow.  Spikee does, as she is working half a day.

Hubby and I arrived here about 6:30, with the hour difference in time from home. The gang had already had supper, as I had been talking to Spikee on the phone and I told her we would arrive later than expected.  It is WONDERFUL to see Bozena, Spikee, and happy hubby again, and to FINALLY meet Evelyn.  After chatting for awhile, Spikee, Evelyn, and I went to a casino for about an hour and didn't win anything....just had fun.  Then hubby and I got some dinner.  There are LOTS of Clay people from other boards here at the hotel and everywhere.  The rest of our gang arrives tomorrow.  We came back and Spikee, hubby and I visited with Bozena and Evelyn in their room...and had some cookies, of course.  Hubby is fitting in just fine. He was making the girls laugh.

I have my first story already...

Evelyn's in trouble ALREADY and it's only the first day.   :lol

Evelyn decided to put a sign on her door that said "COOKIE LADY IS HERE.  COME ON IN."
So there was a knock on the door.  It was some BIG guy. Spikee almost said "Come on in, honey."   She thought it was Dick.  Luckily, she went to the door to answer.  The guy said he wanted to see the cookies. Spikee said, "Evelyn, show him your cookies."  By this time, Bozena was already cracking up.  Evelyn got up and got her tray of cookies out and showed the guy, and asked if he wanted one.  She said he got the funniest look on his face and said..."Um, I better go get my wife." Needless to say....he never came back.  Those weren't exactly the kind of cookies he came to see.   :lmao :lmao :lmao  We haven't stopped laughing since.

Heaven help us.  I can only imagine what tomorrow may bring.   :lol :lol :lol

Hello Woodstock!! I read the last pages of the last session...saw Linda, Lorraine, and Frankie's comments about my review and the pictures i posted. I also saw the pics from Heather...and everything else that took place during the last pages.

Tiffany: Thanks for the summary and for all of your comments! Yes, i was on a Clay high...it seems to only happen whenever Clay has appeared on a TV show and he sings OR during a rare opportunity and i actually get to see him in concert. Glad you liked hearing my voice...i was handed the phone from Lindsay and i handed it to my sister who didn't want to say anything since she was there as a guest of mine so she handed it to the Clayfan next to her as the phone made it's way back to Lora.

Frankie: Thanks for the PM...i made a remark on the ANN about those links you posted.


RAINEYLOCKS AND THE THREE BRA's

Dwelling within a cottage populated by fans of Clay Aiken...a cottage owned by Woodstock...dwelling here more specifically is Raineylocks...a mischevious character. One day Raineylocks awoke from her sleep and looked over at the mirror and then looked back over at the clock. She rose from her sleep...upset that there was no rose on her pillow when she woke up. She stumbled into the bathroom. After that visit, she walked back into the bedroom and her eyes happened to find three bra's sitting on her dresser.

Immediately Raineylocks was scared because she never realized how vulnerable her bra's are. She picked up a bra...felt it's frilly silkness...looked at herself in the mirror and flung the bra across the room. She then went over and picked the bra back up and placed it on the dresser again.

"What's this? Someone's been wearing my bra!!" Raineylocks shrieked as she looked at the second bra. Later that night, after her day had been completed, she drifted off to dream about Clay Aiken. In her dream, Clay is standing on stage holding up a bra given to him by Raineylocks. He looks at it...then looks out at the audience...then looks at Raineylocks...then looks back at the bra and exclaims: "Wow, i can fit this bra over my car...".

Raineylocks woke up as the laughter got louder, almost nightmarish...she woke up in a sweat which wasn't uncommon for her but usually she's smiling and panting loud instead of crying. Well, she looked over at the third bra that was dangling just a little bit over the top of the dresser. She got out of bed and walked over to the third bra and put it on and began to dance around the room like Ginger Rogers...ballroom dancing. She took a picture of Clay and held it close and started dancing, imagining the picture singing to her:

"Pardon me, Miss, but i've never done this with a real, live girl..."

Raineylocks thought to herself "yeah, i know...it's Bob Goulet...but what the heck! It's my dream...i can pretend it's Clay's picture if i want...".

Raineylocks took off the third bra and sat it on the dresser and started pondering what life would be like if there just weren't any bra's in existence anymore. She clasped her hands on the side of her face as if she was having a headache and really began to seriously think of a bra-less nation. Just then, the phone rang and it woke Lorraine from her dream...it was Linda on the phone...uh, asking Lorraine about bra and undies, ironically enough.

Good Blue Monday morning everyone.  The only difference with this week is I am only working two days and will be heading to New Hampshire for my one and only Claying.  He sure better give me what I want. :wow :wow :wow

Well , first of all, Dudley - my prayers are with you and Bozena said the same. We are so saddened to hear this news.

Now Lorraine and Frankie - I can't figure it out. I  try to be so good, and look what happens. I wish all of you could have been
the look on his face. Priceless.

Angela - He wasn't even Sicillian, but you know me, I invite anyone in. Bozena was rolling on the floor laughing when he left.

OK - gals, I'm going to get going and see what other mischief I can get into.

I answered all my pms for those that wanted Dudley's address.  To answer a few questions.  Dudley's mom was not sick so this came as a double shock to her.  She suffered an aneurysm (artery hemorrhaging).I talked to Dudley last night again and told her to take her blood pressure as she was dizzy.  The girl has suffered way to much with all that has happened in the past six weeks.  I know she will appreciate your pm's and cards it will mean a lot to her right now.

I was a little weepy last night because I am not there.  My ride fell thru and have had some health issues to deal with and didn't want to take a chance of spoiling the party so I will be with my RTM friends in spirit.  Have to have hubby take my picture today in my new red Clay shirt to post.

Glory - I don't keep in touch with my ex's family either.  I just moved on and even though my family is small I would rather that.

 Good mid-morning everyone!! I went out and paid the car insurance and arrived home about 10 minutes ago.

While i was inside the insurance office i got a voice mail on my cell-phone from Janet. She wanted me to tell everyone she feels too bad to sit at the computer and that she loves everyone and is hanging in there. She gave me Ann's phone number and if anyone wants it, to PM me. Ann is her daughter. I will more than likely PM a few people right now and if anyone who doesn't get a PM from me would want the phone number, well, you know what to do :yes

Well, i'm gonna write a couple of PM's and then go over to some country music web-sites and then head off for the day. I'm gonna take my blood pressure pill here after awhile.

Charlene: I got your PM! You, too, must tell us all about the concert!! A lot of us are only having one Clay concert...well, i typically just go to one Clay concert if he's in my area...but this is one of the more unusual tours here at Claymaniacs in that there isn't a lot of multiple concert goers as in day's past. I'm going to copy and paste my concert review into my review thread in the FUN STUFF section.

AC - I think that I am just in touch with the people I love - I believe that everyone is, if they just take the time to slow down and get the messages being sent their way! (I know - just another of my weird ideas  :lol :bduh ) I will send Janet another card today - I am no good on the phone - I tend to cry, and that is not what she needs right now.

Pepe - I had wondered why you did not make this trip to see Clay with the rest of the Red Thong gang - too bad you could not go. I am so sorry for Linda - what a shock for her.

I have my lists made, and am heading out - never made it to the grocery early - started paying the bills, and just never left. Now I have to get ready for the day and head out. Mother had several rings that she loved - not expensive rings, but rings she wore every day (on almost every finger!). I brought two home  - one for each of my graddaughters, and sent them to the jeweler to be cleaned - one of my errands is to pick them up. I love the fact that my little girls will be wearing Mother's things some day.

Lorraine - I am antsy for all of you - I am praying that all of you get to see Our Honey at the buses!

Excitement and sadness at the same time.   We just don't know what the next  day will bring!


Pepe, thank you for the update on Dudley.   We each think we are having really bad days sometimes and then news like Dudley's appear.   That poor girl.  I hope her health can sustain all of this.  She needs to rest and stay calm, but it just isn't in the books right now.   I never thought her mom and dad would be together so soon.   My brother died at age 35 from the same thing.  It was awful.   Pepe, my heart aches for you.  I know how much you wanted to be with the RTM girls.  They sure show you the love and I know you will hear from a few of them.   Your spirit can take you everywhere!! :hugg

Glory,  I wouldn't have gone to that reunion either.   They didn't help you and they don't even deserve to see any part of your wonderful self!!!  Honestly, you just lift me up when I think of everything you have gone through!!

Woody, I love this!   "May Session 121 be filled with friendship, sharing, and fun!!!! May this always remain a place to share our Claylove, and sometimes obsession.   Wink  May the path to our cottage remain a smooth one.  May past disagreements fade away and new memories and friendships be made. DUDLEY....Oh, how my heart hurts for you.  You have been through so very much. The loss of one's Mother is a inconceivable heartache.  I wish there were words that could truly comfort you at this most difficult time. I just hope that knowing that we are all here to lean on, at least, can help to carry you through. 

Today my neck is very swollen and in a lot of discomfort.  The sore throat is slightly worse.  I didn't fall saleep till 6AM and then I only slept for 2 hours.

I just stopped to FINALLY order a new digital camera. Our old camera is so old that it only has 3 Megapixels and No Zoom! I have driven my family crazy looking at cameras (the kids were so mad that I would not choose one back on Mothers' Day  :lol ). but I have finally ordered the one I want - found it online for $60 less than either Walmart or Target  (and freee shipping!) :clap

Linda - I love what you said about the OCD - may it always be a place where we love each other and Clay, and where everyone is welcome. We are all of different ages and interests, but we all have Our Honey in common, and that is what matters!  :bouncy And, yes, I am "antsy" - I guess because I would like to be at tonight's concert as well as Wednesday's concert - those of us not going will have to live through the rest of you! Good afternoon one and all.  I am just not in the working mood.  I should have taken the whole week off. 
I can feel all the excitement everywhere with people traveling for their Clay concert.  Well ours is coming this Wednesday and I know even though it is a small group we will have the time of our lifes.

Tammykins - did you get your nails done.  I have to do my nails and toenails tonight.  Not that Clay will be looking at me anyway but maybe when we try and sell those tickets someone interesting may buy them.

Jerry - thanks for the pm and Janet's daughters number.  I feel so bad for our dear Janet that I know if she could she would be right on line with us now.

Frankie - I will do anything in my power to get to shake Clay's hand.  Two years ago I attempted to jump the fence as he finally came through the fence and touch our hands.

Linda - yes it is excitement and sadness at the same time.  I feel guilty about being happy as so many others are going through such heartache.  We have it good compared to others.  If you don't have your health you have nothing I always say.

Boca - sure hope you can take a power nap today and I am sure it will make you feel somewhat better.  God all the heartache here.

Frankie, awwwww, your girls will love that jewelry.   My mother has a lot of jewelry from AVON.  Remember those little books that were always being passed around.  Well, there is a representative in our town and mom just loves looking at her books.   She has always loved jewelry.   She never had anything expensive, but I just take the boxes out sometimes so she can look at it.  She never goes anywhere to wear it.  When I was younger and she came out to the mall with me, many years ago, I would leave her at Penny's jewelry counter, do my shopping and come back for her.   I am not like her!!  I like jewelry, but not enough to stop and look at it for an hour or more. :lol   Anyway,  I hope my daughter has a girl some day!!! :bigsmile

So much excitement this week with the RTM group together in Michigan and the Hussies getting ready for their Claying this week, too!!

Thanks for the news on Dudley.  Too much sadness right now for her!  I will keep her in my prayers!
If I could, I would drive to Michigan and take you to the RTM get together and Clay concert.  I so wanted you to get to be a part of all of this.  It's such a wonderful experience not only to see Clay perform live, but to be with so many wonderful Claymaniacs.

I'm back!

I am so pleased that the jeweler was able to repair the ring that Mother wore every day for 40 years - it is a black Onyx ring with a tiny diamond in the center - they were once very common. Just from wearing it, the ring band had gotten a little crooked, and the finish was wearing off the back of the band. The jeweler here added a little white gold, and cleaned and buffed the ring - it looks like new!  :clap It is going to Kaitlyn. Laney got the birthstone ring (Garnet) that I gave to Mother for her 80th birthday, because Mother and laney shared the same birthstone. My sister, SIL, and I were all able to get something of Mother's to pass on to our granddaughters - as I said before, not expensive, but something they will always be able to keep and wear.

I am cooking today - even cooking desserts. Lewis eats lunch every other week with a large group of men in town (they are his Claymaniacs!  :lol ) Each man is responsible for lunch once a year, and tomorrow is Lewis' turn. He is grilling out, but I am helping with side dishes and desserts.

Linda - you know I speed read - I did see that you were quoting Woody's words, but you must have agreed with them to quote her!

Betty - I have always loved the beach (especially colleting shells) I try to be more careful now about wearing sunblock and a hat, but you just can't stay out of the sun completely! I hope your antibiotic is working, and that you will soon be completely well.

Tammy - I had false nails put on once - for a wedding - I have never had nails of my own (bite them to the quick - a by-product of an alcoholic Dad), and I just couldn't stand the way they felt - I had to have them taken off after one day!

Prissy - I'm glad the banana tree is doing well - I still think you have time for it to bloom this year - I need to go out and take a picture for you - I think we have bananas on six trees.

Kimmy - Clay will love the glow sticks. We had lights in kansas city for JNT2, and you could tell he appreciated them!

    It's so good to be back.  Mom and I spent a wonderful six days in St. Pete's Beach in Florida and it was great.  The sand, water and everything is so beautiful.  We've never been to that part of Florida and will go back again. 
    Now, that I have Clayverted Mom into a bigger fan,  she is looking forward to Knoxville.  She went to Houston and loved Clay and all the Claymaniacs she met.  Now, each day, she keeps asking me who will be in Knoxville and who will be the new Claymaniacs that she will get to meet for the first time.     I even have her reading the OCD with me.  She looks forward to the posts and pms!
     
Tammy------I got to play with a pug in Florida!  I thought about your babies!  This pug is named Tootsie Roll!

Frankie and Corbet----I love shelling!  Each day, Mom and I walked the beach and picked up shells.   We will also do tis in Rockport,Texas next week .

Hope everyone has a great concert tonight and tomorrow.  If Clay does the bus line in Knoxville, I know for sure that I'm taking Mom to it.

Hairspray was AWESOME on Friday! :shappy I really need to get the soundtrack, it was really, really super good. :bouncy Jon Waters (the original movie director/creator person :giggle) made like a two second cameo, which was really funny. :lol

Went to get Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at midnight on Friday with all three sisters (including nieces Lucy & Isabella :giggle Bella slept through most of it, of course :lol) and brother Andy. Was really great fun. I'm half way done. :para I gotta finish! :giggle

And me and Andy then went down to the cities and stayed with sister Tina and her hubby to watch Isabella while they worked. Was fun. She's an adorable baby, and quite the good one at that. :giggle She's so smiley lately, and she has the tiniest laugh. :giggle

My Lord (I'm going to go on with a story, I have to, it made me cry, but it was a good cry, so there you go :lol). Tomorrow, it will be 5 years since I had my working kidney transplant, so my family calls that day "Kidney Day". :lol But anyway, when I got home today, my mum said that friend Simon had stopped by on Friday and left a card (he brought it over since he went out of town for the week). :para I had no idea he was going to do anything, since he's always forgotten it. :lol
I get the card, and I see that it's a home made card in the shape of a kidney. :roflmao He wrote quite the sweet message, and then I saw that he brought something along with it . . . it was a bag of kidney beans. :lmao :lmao :lmao I started crying, it was just so dorky (that's a grand compliment from me :giggle), and so sweet, and cute, much like him. :giggle I'm glad and feel so blessed that I have a friend like him, that it just got me crying . . .

I had been MIA and probably will be for another week. I did some lurking with my limited time; I hope everyone is doing well.

A friend of mine who lives across from me had a heart surgery (triple bypass)… she asks me to stay with her during the day for fear of having another stroke. To top it all she also has a very bad cough…I feel her pain when she coughs. She is only 53…this whole experience of watching her looking so fragile made me realized to take care of myself better. Her mom lives in San Francisco…she will be arriving this Saturday to care for her daughter. It feels good to help a friend but not doing hardly anything for nine hours, a day is enough to drive me nuts.

Your neighbor is very lucky to have you..  We are using Tetra Pond Algae control right now.. We put whatever the amount says on the bottle once a week.   It is safe for frogs, fish etc.  You can use another brand if you like..  We use whatever brand we can find.  Good Luck!

 Lorraine: Did you know, if you lived here in the southern part of Ohio or near the Ohio river, that talent could come in handy. Tammy: Well, heading back to work last night was ridiculous because it was Monday...i also got ahead of myself thinking THIS was my last week of work for awhile but i have another week to go before August 6th rolls around...the first night of my vacation starts on the 6th. I can't wait for the concert this weekend...it's a rain or shine event...the Fraze Pavillion is very strict about everything. I read the "rules" and about the only thing we're allowed to do is show up and sit down...they have a no camera, no cell-phone, no umbrella, no rain-coat, no food, no beverage policy. They make it plain that anyone who wants anything to eat or drink has to buy from a place called "Ernie's Consessions" located there. They have a disclaimer warning people to arrive in advance for screening before we enter. :rolleyes I would only put up with that for Clay, George Jones, or even Barry Manilow or Ray Stevens if they ever tour again.

I have a sock fetish more than anything. I saw where Lorraine has the bra's and Tammy has the undie's but i've got the socks.

I was going to parody the Three Bears story but i couldn't think of anything to compliment the phrase "somebody's been wearing my Bra". That is what i was wanting to put in throughout the skit but i decided as i was writing it to just use that once and base it on the Three Bears a little bit but have the majority of the skit original.

PRISSY, how nice of you to bring the pictures over.  That should wake everyone up this morning.

I have to explain these pictures.  The first picture with the rose flower, I was looking at it thinking what am I supposed to do with it.  Well I finally read the package and the red rose was really a lace red thong when unfolded!!!  Surprise was not the word for it.   :wow  You should have seen my husbands face when I unfolded it.  He said "you crazy women".   :lol  What fun to be able to share some fun even though I wasn't there.  Debi did a great job on the name tags, like badges, I have pinned on my shirt and on the bed is a neat two year planner with a wonderful plastic CLAY cover made by Becky.

Sorry to hear about your restrictions at your concert this Saturday.. Tammy: No, sad to say, i don't have any striped socks...mine are white with black coloring on the heel and the foot. Some of my socks have grey coloring instead of the black. I've not bought a pack of socks in awhile. I have some from 1996 that are in my dresser. I wore them but then decided i didn't like them...they made your foot sweat too much. It must've been the fabric. The brand name was Wilson. So, i started buying Haines socks.

Tammy :yes I did go to the pre-party with the RTM ladies. They were all so nice, and I had a great time. I was fortunate enough to see Clay face to face twice. The first time, when he came through the audience, the shook BOTH of his hands near his bus. Oh, I almost forgot when he headed for the bus behind the fence, I just happened to be in the right spot and saw him again, and yelled "THANK YOU CLAY". he waved and said. "Thank you for coming. He is so darn cute, handome, and funny.

Lewis is out the door with all of the food for his lunch. Tammy asked what I cooked - Lewis is grilling hamburgers, and I cooked the usual summer stuff - potato salad, deviled eggs, baked beans. Sliced pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, onions for the hamburgers. Made a coconut cake, peanut butter cookies, and brownies with chocolate frosting and pecans on top for dessert. Tea and lemonade, too - it was like moving an army to get all of the food there (they eat in the building where our old office was located every other Tuesday). Good thing Lewis only has to cook once a year!

Glory -  :purpbana that you refused to go into work! I can't believe it!  :clap You need to rest.

We will be here at home tonight - she can play with PaPaw, the horses, and the ducks (the ducks are so funny - they keep trying to creep up to the house, but they are afraid of the air conditioning unit, and run/fly back to the pond when it comes on!  :lol ) Cameron has a dentist appointment tomorrow (braces), so we will go to the water park on Thursday - don't know if we will stay here until Thursday morning, or if we will go down and spend the night with Aunt Amy tomorrow - just depends upon Kaitlyn's mood!

Lora - Yes, they do a good job of bringing in some great performers for the Fair. Last year I went to 4 concerts (Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Blake Shelton, Chris Cagle, I think I went to Gary Allan too but can't remember) - and all for less than the cost of one regular concert elsewhere. :bduh

I JUST got home, and wanted to make sure I checked in.  I told everyone in Detroit to check in when they got home so we know everyone made it home safely.  Hubby and I took our time coming home.  We stopped in Battle Creek, MI hoping to go through the Kellogg's plant to find out they didn't give tours anymore.  And we stopped for a late lunch, so we took our time coming home.  Thank goodness I don't have to work tomorrow.   :bigsmile 

I had a WONDERFUL time!!!  Everyone was so great.  Happy hubby and my hubby got along great.  Hubby really likes Dick, as we all do. 

We stayed up til 3 am both nights, so I am VERY tired, and must unpack. I will check back in later tonight or in the morning.

The concert was OUT OF THIS WORLD, and I had a great time sitting with Cindy.  We are both criers, so that was good.  She understood when I cried through a few songs. All I can say for those of you going tomorrow to NH, hang on to your hats, because you will not believe how GREAT this one is.  Clay is SO cute....and we know how talented he is.....but he just seems to be getting better and better. I WILL write a review when I get my wits about me.

He IS going out to shake hands, and Jerome is orchestrating the whole thing.  You have to be in a single file line.  We had a line about 3 blocks long, I am NOT kidding, and he walked through the whole thing.  Believe me, he is walking VERY fast and doesn't stop at all.  He just puts his hands out, so if you want to shake his hand, be ready to grab it.  I grabbed one hand and then the other before he got by me.   Cindy thought she was going to go crazy.  It was worth the wait.  I hope you all get to do it to.

NOW, I must check in and make sure the others got home, too.   I will check in with you as soon as I can.  I missed you all.

Now I'm wondering what to do with the shirt I bought a few years ago that says: "Clay Aiken's Cookie Lady" . I'm afraid to wear it!!!!!!

The man that came and did the demonstrations and whatnot, he did this thing where he had an "auction", and gave out this fake money with his picture on it, and they were Tupperware bucks. Before he had the auction, he plays this game of you picking a tiny Tupperware container with little pieces of paper in from a big bowl with quite a few of them in. We can play or not, it's up to us. Well, I'm the only one who decides to play, and I end up getting the paper that says I get 1000 Tupperware bucks and get to throw a party! :shock :roflmao Mah Lawd . . . It was fun, I have to admit, and sister Sarah said she'd throw it with me, so, yeah . . . Goodness, the things I could have picked, and I picked that one. :lol :lol You could all so come if you lived in Minnesota. :lol And if it weren't on a Clay concert day. :giggle

But anyway, I think I'm going to go read more of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (I'm so close to being done :eek I'd be done if I didn't have things to do :lol), so off I run.

I don't like Grape that well...i mostly like Watermelon or what they call "Original flavor"...it's pink. Hubba-Bubba and Bubbilicious are the two brands...i've chewed chewing gum, too. That's mostly what i use at work...Wrigley's Spearmint. They don't carry Juicy Fruit in any of the vending machines.

Have fun at the water park with your mom and the kids!!  Skip's hand is just about healed.  He will get the stitches out probably on Monday or Tuesday.  We are going to San Antonio this weekend for a Pond Convention/Meeting.
It will be fun to see Frankie and Lewis in Knoxville along with all the other Claymaniacs!!
By the way, Amy, the Sears Tower in Chicago is 110 stories and the Empire State Building, 102 stories, so our 28th story Hyatt hotel rooms in Houston shouldn't have been that scary!! :wink :lol

I'm back at Amy's house - the kids had a great time at the water park (it is not a commericial park - it is part of the Aquatic Center where Cameron and Laney are on the swim team). They had so much fun that we are thinking about spending the night and going again in the morning - weather permitting.

Amy and Cameron are at the dentist having a visit to start Cameron's braces. Laney is watching T.V. and Kaitlyn is asleep!

Woody and Jan - I knew that you would all have a ball at the MI concert - I am so looking forward to Knoxville!

Hi everyone. I just woke up from a long nap. I did not sleep well last night so I made up for it today. Not much going on. I know our girls are having a good time tonight.

Frankie- Thank you for the update on the Hussies.

Shannon- I did not sleep very well last night either so I have done nothing but sleep all day so I doubt I will sleep tonight either.

I have to tell you all a very sweet story. Scroll if you will (IF anyone even reads this so late at night)

I live next door to 2 Catholic Nuns. They have lived there for as long as I have- Sr.Jude (Peggy's) father owned the property. Peggy suffers from Alzheimers-she still remembers us but she gives long dissertations on somethings that make no sense- I love her to pieces. Sr. Janet is a tough lady who was a nurse and a counselor. My son and I are very close to them.
Anyway, we occasionally go to the diner and we did tonight. We had entrees running from $14.00 up plus drinks and appetizers. I tell you this for a reason.
At the table next to us was a man in a suit and his two sons-Justus (5) and Dakota (7). Peggy started talking to the boys and we all finally got in on the conversation and learned that the mom was in another town with the boyfriend, that the boys were seeing a counselor. They were both well behaved and adorable- and they talked on and on to us- for at least half an hour to 45 minutes.
Then they left. After they had gone, the waitress (well known to Janet and Peggy because they have eaten at the diner for years) came over to our table and said that the man had paid our entire tab plus the tip!! And he would not let her tell us until he had gone!!

Wasnt that absolutely sweet of him? I love how sometimes if you have had a bad day, someone comes along and just lifts your spirits up and makes you smile!!

And speaking of smiling- in the past few days I have been driving and suddenly a memory of a snippet of Clays banter comes up, and I am grinning all over my face. The man is SOOO good for what ails me!

I absolutely tired!!! We just got come. Good news I have tons of great picks and he was SOOO very cute tonight talking and singing about bugs and mating bugs :lmao It was truely priceless. I should have pictures up tomorrow :bigsmile oh, and clay touched my hand :giggle I got to stay for the buse line and it was CRAZY big!!!

I never got my nap in this morning after 3 days of little sleep.  So I pooped out at about 6 pm and slept til 11 pm!!!  :eek  So I got up, took a shower, and got my clothes ready for work in the morning and going to head back to bed for hopefully about 3 or 4 more hours of sleep.

I tried calling Tammy and Linda, even though it was very late...but they didn't answer.  Either they already went to bed, or they are in the slammer.   :shrug  Glad you got to talk to them, Frankie.

This may be a big day for us - we have no animal shelter where we live - have been trying to raise money to build one for years. Volunteers take in strays and homeless animals and try to find homes for them right now. Lewis got a call yesterday about a dog who needs a home - he went to look at him, but would not say yes until I see him. I told Lewis that if he loves the dog to go ahead, but he is insisting that I see him, too. I guess that is why I can't sleep!

Skip and I got up a little early to go out and water the plants.  I have a sprinkler going now on the front yard.  No rain for a while!!  We are leaving in the morning for San Antonio to go to a Pond meeting/convention for the weekend.  I hope to bring back stepping stones and maybe some statuary for the yard.

Kaitlyn and I are home - she is really tired, and did not want to go back to the water park (I think PaPaw and his puppy had a lot to do with that!) We are waiting for PaPaw to come home from Rotary - then we will go see "Jack", who is a six months old puppy who needs a home. We were going to wait until after our August Clay Trek to begin looking for a dog, but sometimes God has other plans  :lol We'll see - we haven't had a puppy in 15 years.

Jayne - I hope Laura feels better - it is natural for her to turn to her big brother, but he is not in your house, and does not really know what is going on - he just has one side of the story. It is good that Kyle and Laura are close, though - I wish my kids had more time to spend together. They have such busy lives, but do talk to each other on the phone a lot.

Woody - getting another dog will be bittersweet. I cleaned and put away all of the dog beds, toys, etc., but I may just have to donate those and go buy new ones if we get the puppy - I guess that sound silly.

O.K. - here is Jack - he is 6 months old, and is a Jack Russell/Schnauzer mix. He is house trained ( :clap ) leash trained ( :clap ), and knows one trick (Sit!) His previous owner could not keep him because she just moved here from Texas, and cannot buy a fence right now. She has an older dog - a poodle - and was afraid that Jack would be killed in the street, since he wants to go outside and is more active than her older dog. I do not love him yet, but Lewis does, and Lewis really needs a dog, so I am happy we got him.

The ducks have discovered the pond  :lol This is the first day that we have noticed them getting in the water away form the bank - I guess they are finally growing up! They still walk and swim in a tight bunch - they look like one giant duck - I'm sure that is for safety!

Afternoon check in.  Did SO many errands after work.  We are leaving on our family vacation on Sunday, so I was picking up some things we need, and doing the regular errands. 

I am SO pooped.  STILL not over those days of little sleep at the concert.   :lol   Clay carried  us through those days, but he isn't here right now....so I am tired.   :wink

I talked to Tammy and Lorraine and they were visiting some shops.  Tammy said they were going to shop til they dropped.   :lol  As ANGELA said, they all had a GREAT time, and all got to "touch" Clay.  I will let them tell their stories.

Woody - I forgot to say that Jack came with 2 dog beds (that makes us have a grand total of 7 now!  :lmao ) and more toys than Scooter and Peanut had together! He had only stuffed toys, though, and is enjoying the squeaky toys that once belonged to the girls. I'm glad I did not have to get the girls' beds out - I am a little teary eyed, and it's good that Jack came fully supplied. He seems to be sweet natured - is allowing Wild Baby to manhandle him, and looked at the ducks, but did not bark at them!

I'm off to pack Kaitlyn's thngs - her Dad should be calling any time now.

Thanks for asking. They shot this dye into me, had to wait 45 minutes, then they took pictures of my heart for half an hour. Then they decided not to have me go on the treadmill, but they then shot a "medicated stress inducer" into me. Its supposed to enlarge the arteries to the heart as if I was jogging or something. She said I would get a headache, a full feeling in my chest, and perhaps stomach ache. Well, it felt as if my chest was encased in ice- and my head just felt disoriented and woozy. So they had to monitor that for a while, taking my blood pressure every few minutes (it was dropping) Then they did an ekg, and something else was going during this time. I had to put weights in my hand and move my arms up and down. Then they flushed and put the dye in and I had to wait again 45 minutes and they took more pics. Then they said my bp was low so I could go and have a cup of coffee on the way home!
Won't have the results until I see the doc in a couple of weeks

I asked for three 3 8 by 10 glossies to share (not!)

Kat - Jack's owner gave him up because she could not give him a safe home (she didn't really dump him out) - but he doesn't know that - it must seem to him that his "Mom" just disappeared - she has owned him since he was 6 weeks old. He seems O.K., though. In between loading pictures to move to PhotoBucket, I have been playing with him and his toys.

Glory - I have a soft spot for any animal, but I hope I never love another dog as much as I did Peanut - she's been gone 5 months now, and it's still just like she died yesterday.

Our post party had the most delicious food. Frankie - We bagged up some of Belle's toys and kept them.  I had to have something.  Older son has 2 dogs that were strays and they rescued.  He even brought one of them home ALL the way from GA when he was working down there.  Anyway, his one dog chews ALL the way through his dog toys until he gets the "squeaky" thing out....EVERY time!!!  It's so funny.   :lmao   As I said....today will be bittersweet.  Tomorrow will be special.   :hugg

Just wanted to stop in and say hullo while I checked mah email. So tired to read right now. :tired

My doctor's appointment was yesterday (Thursday) and it went well. I'm not going to be taking the blood presure med. :para I refused! :lmao No, I didn't, but I've been taking my blood presure at home, and it's a good blood presure, well within the range of where I am supposed to be at, but whenever I go to the hospital, it's just high. :para :lol They think, mum thinks, I think that it's just getting there (it's quite the hike from the parking garage) and I usually don't eat or drink in the morning, and it's been quite sultry both times weather wise, so it's really a number of things. Dr. Serious and his assistant said that's what happens with a few people (not all that I listed, but it does :lol), so he said I shouldn't take it, since it's usually normal. :lol One less med to not think of, so it's all good. :bigsmile
Now just a whole day of things on . . . August 7th, and one thing on the 8th and no doctor(s) until January. :smile

I got Elliot Yamin's album the other week . . . I dig it muchly. :bigsmile

And off I run . . . soon. :lol
