You guys were soo funny last night, I wish I could have hung around, but hubby was doing things to all 3 of the puters so I got on while I could for a moment.   He has a game tonight, so hopefully you all will be here tonight as well   :bouncy

Going to try and see if I can volunteer in Tori class today. Her teacher hurt her back and hasn't been there and apparently the sub teacher she has now is really nasty and is very demeaning to the kids    :naughty :naughty not having it with my child   :naughty  Some of the parents in the morning class have wrote a letter about it as well.  So we'll see what happens.

SPIKEE, is your cold better?  Tell Happy I am so sorry about his back, he needs to come and ride the bike I just bought.

Well just got back from shopping and hubby took me out for a late lunch.  Horray I don't have to cook dinner tonight.  I have been needing to buy some sort of exercise equipment so I bought an exercise bike which exercises your upper body and lower body.  Gads, I got on it in the store and pedaled about two seconds and my thighs were locking up on me already.  How pathetic is that.  I was down on the floor the other day putting something way back in the bottom cupboard and you know I couldn't get up by myself.  After that I thought you have to do something to strengthen those legs Shirley.  Plus I need to exercise to expand my lungs as I have Pulmonary Hypertension of the lungs and need to expand the lungs I have left.  So needless to say I will be biking away in the house!!!!!

I always toot CLANDY's horn when I can.  Clandy has always helped me even when I have not asked, she will just offer.  When I first came here three years ago she offered to help me with my avie and she has been there ever since.  This last one we decided on as Clay has his chef's apron on and since I am Clay's chef it was only appropriate that he should be my new avie.  CLANDY gives us such beautiful banners and is always watching and offering to help with anything.  Besides she has a beautiful son named Nick!  Thanks for all you do Miss CLANDY!!!


Remember if I ever talk to much just tell me to shut up!!!!!!!!!!

Had a great Woody lunch today.  Dad and Al watched the news together in Dad's room while I got a few things taken care of~~~~  he didn't have any cash to tip the hairdresser for his "Bruce Willis" cut :lol sent me down with the tip, and he also needed to book time for a massage~~~  but had me make sure he can leave his pants on :lol :lol :roflmao

CAROLYN, hope you and Emily enjoy "Dreamgirls".  One of my best memories from my childhood was when my mother and I went to see "The Sound of Music"  together (I guess that dates me, doesn't it?  :wink).  Make a happy memory this evening!!!  :bouncy

 :cuss BTW, I'm so ticked off at Target.  I was snooping in the CD section and noticed that there was absolutely no section for Clay's CD's on the rack.  Then I noticed that the "Love CD's" rack had "Measure of a Man" included but NOT "ATDW".  What on earth????   I then tracked down the dept. manager and asked why they weren't stocking ATDW and also why Clay no longer had a section on the CD rack.  He called his manager and received the answer that "It's Corporate's decision".  I then looked at him and said, "Well, obviously 'Corporate" isn't aware of what women like, and that they should reconsider....otherwise I will never purchase a CD from Target ever again".  I then walked to the checkout stand,  paid for my trash bags, etc. and walked out.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!   :cuss

 You gals won't believe this.  This is the second time my daughter and I have tried to see Dreamgirls.

OK - here is what happened.

My daughter called -said it was snowing but she was going to come over anyway and for me to get ready to go to the movies. So - we go over to the Mall and there are all kinds of firetrucks over there. I said: looks like there might be a small fire in that restaurant". Now the movie theatres are toward the back so we go back, park, get our tickets, get a box of popcorn and settle down to watch the movie. Debbie said" I'm so glad we finally made it. I love this music". Now it's right at the beginning and Effie is just ready to go on stage (at the beginning) and the movie manager comes in and says: "There is a gas leak in the mall and there might be an explosion so we all have to leave". So , here we are , getting our refund and hurrying out of the theatre. We get to the car and started laughing. Debbie said: Mom - we are going to try this again - what day do you want to try for now?"  Well, we are both laughing so hard, we came back to my house and had a cup of tea. She didn't stay because it is still snowing and I didn't want her to have a hard time going home.

Anyway, we will give it one more try. After that, you gals better just tell me what that movie is about.

Morning, All!!

Going back to last night's conversation about movies......my parents took me to see South Pacific when I was maybe 9 years old.  It was HUGE for me because we hardly ever went to the movies, other than the drive-in (5 kids in my family, mom didn't work!).

South Pacific.....what can I say, I LOVED it, but cried my eyes out about the Lieutenant (sp?).  I remember Dad bought the soundtrack, and after dinner I would be dancing to it in the dark living room, when nobody else was around.  My dancing style was kind of a jazzy ballet?  Whatever, it felt wonderful.   I think dancing in the dark, with no one watching, is very cathartic!

Thea,  when you get home (if you feel like it) you should put on some nice music (Everything I Have) and dance in the dark!!!  I'll be thinking of you today, friend!!!  :hugg

Beth, on my mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary, they took all of us kids and spouses to a dinner theater in Dayton to see South Pacific!  It was nice to see again, but my heart belongs to Mitzi Gaynor and Rossano Brazzi (the original stars in the movie).

I love going to the theatre to see musicals or watching a musical in movie format.  The other musical that I can think of that I saw was Sweet Charity with Georgia Engel, and Annie with Andrea McArdle.  I'm sure that there are others, but those are the two that come to mind.  :smile

I have to tell everyone what happened last night.  It was a water line break, frozen pipes, that happened at the Mall, and when they got there there was also a strong gas odor so that's why the evacuation. Anyhow, I guess the gas odor was coming from the water pipes. At least, that's what the news today said.  Debbie and I are still going to try to
see this movie, but I don't know when yet. 

Spikee - i've decided to keep the mattress - so if you come down and stay over again, I'll get the ladder ready so that you can climb in the bed.  :roflmao :roflmao :roflmao  It's just that it is so comfortable that I hate to exchange it, so I've decided that I can live with it even though it is high.

Well, back from lunch and picking up my inventory.  North of the city I live in is all country, and that's where my clothing supplier is.  I just drove thru whiteouts to pick up this merchandise :jaw.  It was like a curtain of snow opening as soon as I hit the city limits, yowsa, this has been quite the week of weather :para I am grateful to have this company so close though, sure saves shipping costs to me, and I can add on as necessary if I happen to have a runaway best seller :bouncy

Hi CHRISIE, SHARON and everybody!  I'm back.  1 down, 31 to go!   :lol  I had to lie face down in another contortionist position for about 1/2 hour so that they could do x-rays and then I got my first official zapping!  WOOOT  :purpbana And then I got my 3 little tattoos, so I'm all set to go.  The techs told me that the subsequents radiation sessions should be much, much easier and shorter.  Here's hoping!

SHIRLEY, Thanks for playing "Everything I Have" at 1:30 today.  :hugg I heard it all the way in Barrington, Illinois!  And I meant to tell you how proud I am of you for starting on your new exercise bike.   :clap  Our new treadmill was delivered today, and I'm so looking forward to getting on it later on this evening and tomorrow morning.  Finally I'm starting to feel in control of my body once again, and it feels good!!!

Thea...you asked about my foot....it's not healing very good....the Dr. is giving it another month if i stll have pain he will change directions...might re cast and keep me off it, use a bone stimulator( eeekkk that sounds bad here) or possibly surgery...but I will say one thing....there will be no surgery without a second opinion...don't know if I want to go that direction.....but other then that ....it's ok.....LOL...

It was a good day in the RTM mansion. Thea did well and Peggy is feeling better, but poor debi and her ankle.  :hugg debi!!!

I'm not staying long; would you believe this old grandma is super tired. It was a good day with the girls. Jim sat staring at me and smiling this evening after DIL and the girls went to bed. I was watching bball and folding little girl clothes. Made chicken noodle soup for dinner with rye rolls and fresh pineapple. It went over well.

Have to tell about my stop at Meijer today. The cashier saw Clay on my keychain and said she loves Clay, but her mom is crazy about him. I asked if either of them was on the boards. She asked what a good website was. Guess what I told her. Then I told her if she hadn't gotten her mom a Valentine's Day gift yet that Clay has a new cd out. She was really excited and said she'd have to get her sister one, too. Maybe three more CDs sold!!!!! The woman waiting in line behind me wasn't too thrilled about our giddiness, tho.  :lol

THEA, are you on your treadmill this morning?  I was on my exercise bike for about three minutes yesterday morning and last night and my bones are sore this morning.  The book says to start out slow.   :bouncy  The funny thing is my hubby said he had all the resistance off the bike so today I will turn the resistance up a notch.

Hi Kids.  I am busy at work but never too busy to stop in and see what you all are up to!

Good morning my friends. Thanks for thinking about me. I am fine just a lot of real life stuff going on. Nothing really bad just busy stuff.
Bryan had to take an ambulance ride from the school to the hospital yesterday, he has a kidney stone, actually quite a few of them. He is OK though, they sent him home with pain meds and a strainer. Oh yeah, he loved that.
Brandon's team is going strong, we won last night and the night before. We play a tough team Saturday morning and when we win that we have to play the team we lost to last week end. It sure would be nice to win it all again this year to end Brandon" hockey "career"
Thea I am so glad that you made it through day one with so many loving arms around you. Believe me when I tell you I was there also. Even when I am not here posting, I am here thinking of you all.
I have some running to do but hopefully I will be back tonight. As of right now, I have the whole evening free. YAY

SHARON, that's sounds absolutely wonderful.  How about trying some lamb with artichokes (in an egg-lemon sauce), lamb with green beans (in a tomato-based sauce) or dolmathes (meatballs wrapped in grape leaves served in an egg-lemon sauce).  And maybe a saganaki (flaming cheese) as an appetizer? The village salads are always good, too.  For dessert I always go with creme caramela, which is simply the Greek version of a flan  Anyway...enjoy to the max!!!  :bouncy  OPAA!

The boys played, ate for a total of 5 minutes, played some more, ate birthday cake for another 5 minutes, played some more, watched Nathan open his presents and played some more. 

The boys had a blast.  I, too, enjoyed it.  I had to do absolutely nothing  :bigsmile  All I had to do was write a check  :bigsmile.

I am so sad for Anna Nichole Smith's precious baby.  I have seen so many pictures of her on Entertainment Tonight and she is such a doll. I have just seen a statement from one of the hospitals that said they had seen Anna with chest and back pains and that she had pneumonia.  She might not have fully recovered.  I wonder why they didn't get her to the hospital if she was running a high fever.  Strange!!!

EVELYN, so happy you slept in.  I was wondering where you have been.  I have my fingers crossed that Friday is the charm and you will get to finally see the movie.

THEA, how long are you doing your treadmill?  Does your manual tell you how long  to walk for your age?  I am only doing my bike for like three minutes and my heart is really pumping, don't want to push it.  I really feel better already though, I am so glad I got it.  In fact I am thrilled I got it.  I had been thinking of getting something for quite a while.

Woot!  GA's looking really good this evening!  CHRISIE, I agree that Thursday is a great "TV evening".  I haven't laughed so much in a long time as I did watching "The Office" this evening.  It was hilarious, and laughing felt oh-so-good!   :shappy  (But I guess most of you watch "Survivor" during that time slot, right???  :wink



SHIRLEY, I only did 10 minutes at a slower pace this morning.  I'll increase it slowly but surely each day.  Hope to drop at least a couple of these pounds during radiation therapy and to regain at least a little bit more strength that I had pre-BC.  As far as the manual goes, I doubt that I'll get around to reading it.  I usually rely on "instinct" rather than reading manuals.  And often it gets me into a lot of trouble!  :lol  Anyway, 3 minutes is good to start.  Maybe you can try to increase by 1 minute every other day.  Just do it gradually...that's what I plan to do!!

SPIKEE, thanks for thinking of me.   :hugg  How's your darling little granddaughter doing these days?

Good morning all :wave Shirley thanks for the coffee :coffee :thx well I have my annual with the Dr. today with all those neat things that need to be done :eek hope she will be on time so Al and I can see Woody for lunch :bouncy Got a call yesterday from Dad's residence that they have a room for him finally that has the proper lift in the ceiling to transfer him from bed to wheelchair, and vice versa :clap he will be in the same wing, just down the hall, so even though we have to move the little duck, and all his worldly belongings (Mar the Marilyn poster will have a new wall to hang on) it's for the best :yes easier for the nurses to transfer him, and easier on him to not be manhandled so much.  We may move today or tomorrow not sure yet, so we'll round up the troops and get Woody into the new digs :clap

Thea, are you taking your calcium pills everyday ?? I was just talking to Maureen and she wasn't instructed too at the end of her Chemo and radiation and she was supposed to be taking it now for over a year and now she is having pain in her spine and hips, despite all the exercise she does and now today she is going for a bone scan and having the dye injected again etc....... so I just wanted to check with your and if not, check with your doctor about that. :hugg

Chrisie, they really were lax with this one, he should not have been moved the way he has been for the last 4 months :naughty but they kept telling me "It's not in the budget" and I kept telling them "We need to find a solution" maybe they got sick of me bugging them every week :lol they all run for the hills when they see me come in, it's so funny :roflmao

Just getting started myself - getting later and later every day, it seems - getting more and more lazy as I get older.    That's great but it pushes my day further and further back so that I never seem to get done working before 5:00 lately and that's not great.  Meant to get started early today as today is the day that Cristien comes and I never get anything done when he is here.  Oh, well, will be a meager paycheck.

Sharon, good luck on your annual today.  Good news about Woody - anything to make life easier.  Tell him I send him kisses and hugs - for you and Al as well.  Love you, dear friend!!!!!!

Beth, sounds like Nathan had a great birthday.  We no longer have that type of facility here (went belly up) but my girls are really too old for that now anyway.  Emily has a skating party every year (March) for her friends (HUGE hit with the kids and their parents who are also invited).  Caity always has a pool party (July).  They both also have parties for family and adult friends as well.  

Which reminds me, Chrisie - I meant to ask you where the critters came from?  Is that a franchise or something?  Emily would really love that kind of party.  

Every day sounds horrible but really you are almost through and soon this will be just a memory.  You have come a long way, baby - you can do this.  You are one amazing lady!

My Justin is getting his braces off today!!!  YAAAYYYY!!!  I had braces in my 40's b/c I'm wearing down my lower teeth.  My grandfather barely had any lower teeth left when he died!  Anyway, I remember being SO HAPPY when those things came off and I could eat a salad in public again!! :lol

I'm running late...have to get ready for my "afternoon delight" at the radiation oncologist's  (actually, the Dr. is quite a cutie!)!  :lol
CHRISIE, thanks so much for the heads up about taking calcium.  I have not been told a thing, either, about taking calcium.  But being postmenopausal, I know that it is important to get a minimum of 1200 mg per day, so I have been pretty good about doing so over the past few years.  I eat at least one carton of yogurt, some milk in my hot cereal plus I take calcium supplements when I remember.  :bduh  But I'm sure I'm not getting enough, so I'll be more careful.  In the meantime, I'm so hoping that Mo won't be suffering any additional side effects from all of the treatments she has had to undergo thus far in her young life.  Enough is enough!!  :cuss

As far as Clay's upcoming appearance on "Mike and Juliet", I'm quite apprehensive.  Here's hoping some little slip-up on Clay's part doesn't end up blowing up into a major tabloid scanadal, ala Ripa-gate. 

Gotta go get into the shower right now.  I walked on my treadmill for 20 minutes today and I'm feeling oh-so-good!!!   :purpbana :purpbana

Good News - My thyroid tests are the same - no change - There are still some nodules, but Dr. not concerned.
Bone Density (Osteoporosis) is actually slightly better. Not a lot, but at least improved.  Dr. pleased.
I'm glad and I want to thank all of you for your prayers. 

Well, Pepe, I really am going to try to see Dream Girls tonight with Debbie. Hope tonight we finally get to see it.

I've got to go to the store and bank so I'll see you all later.

THEA, it was playing loud and clear, Clay started singing his pretty head off at 1:30,  I am starting to hear "Everything I Have" in my sleep.  If you can just close your eyes and hear the music in your mind maybe it will help you get thru this. 

KAREN28, Yep that is how I make stuffed cabbage.  I layer mine with sauerkraut.  I see you use the sauerkraut too, it just adds that something extra to the cabbage.  I like sour cream on mine, puts lots of calories on it.  I will make sure I fix Columbian coffee for you tomorrow.

SHARON, I bet Woody will be a lot happier when he is moved to his new room.  Did you take him some coffee??  Have a wonderful visit with your dad.

EVELYN, so good to see you here.  My fingers are crossed that you will get to see the movie.  So happy your test results turned out so well.

Shirley, more calories always makes something taste better IMO!!!  I'll try that next time.  The sour cream could counteract the acidity of all that sauerkraut!  Sounds good.  I always have to have mashed potatoes with mine, too, so no lack of calories there!!!(http://bestsmileys.com/eating1/15.gif)  And thanks for the coffee!  I learned a little trick from my sis in Santa Fe.  When I'm too lazy to make my almond joy cappuccinos with my little cappuccino maker, an alternative is to spoon some Ghiradelli (sp?) cocoa, some sugar or honey and a little half-and-half into your coffee!  It's not as tasty but much quicker!!!

Hi everyone - Well, I'm waiting for my daughter to pick me up and my son called. There is a gas leak at the pizza shop.
The gas company is there and he  wants them to evacuate. they are going to try to revert the line and start it up again, but in the meantime, it's a loss of business. They had two trays of pizza in the oven and they did allow those to get made and boxed. He is staying to put all the food away and then he'll be home. He's hoping they will get it fixed so that he can open up. Friday night s are busy nights.

My goodness you gals are so quiet!!!!  This is Friday!  If you work you get to stay home and work, Thea no treatments for you for two day, and you can all come to my house for coffee, tea and cakes!!!

KAREN28, I always have mashed potatoes with my stuffed cabbage too.  Gee we both use sauerkraut and eat the little guys with mashed potatoes we truly must be soul sisters.  Yep try the sour cream on top of the cabbage rolls sometime they are wonderful.  I will have to try the coffee like you explained, sounds really good and easy. 

EVELYN, that is so scary.  What is up with all those gas leaks,  You were just at the mall where you had to leave because of a gas leak.  Hope Matt is safe and they make sure they fix that leak good. 

THEA, hope you are doing okay this evening. 

Just finished dinner.  I had Barbeque ribs, Rice Pilaf, and a tossed salad and rolls.  Tasted good on this cold day. 

You girls are not going to believe this. I went to the movies and guess what - Dream Girls ended last night. My daughter and I laughed so hard we had tears coming out of our eyes.  Because I said so was on and so we saw that BUT I DIDN'T GET TO SEE DREAM  GIRLS.  !!!!! :nooo :nooo

I told Debbie to find out where in pittsburgh that movie is playing and she had to take me. The movie we saw was funny and cute but all the way to the car I said: "For my birthday, I want to see Dream Girls even if I have to fly somewhere to see it."  My daughter is laughing so hard. I know that you didn't ask for a long explanation, so sorry  :hugg.  Heather still does have this hangup about me driving Adam anywhere.   I told my mom that if there were ever an emergency, we have a 24 hour Urgent Care right here on the corner, but that Heather doesn't want me to take him there.  She wants me to call her, and she will pick Adam up and then take Adam to the Urgent Care of her choice.  I told my mom that I do NOT think that Heather understands the meaning of the word EMERGENCY  :bduh.  When I have my children in the care of someone else, I always print out a signed letter by me that states that I give permission to the care giver to take the children to the Emergency while under their care.   My mom said that they (brother and SIL) are going away for a week and that my mom and dad will be watching Adam then.  My mom said that she will bring it up into the conversation at that time.  I really haven't had anywhere to go lately, so I haven't brought it up.  Thanks for asking  :hugg.  Are you sorry that you asked?  :roflmao

Ann, good morning to you. Yum, banana pie, my son's favorite. Maddie is just finr, what a bundle of energy she is. She is so cute , she keeps patting Kristen's stomach saying "baby kick" She is an absolute parrot, repeats everything she hears. Paul is her absolute favorite person in the world right now and man does she keep him running. She grabs his finger, pulls and says "OK" because when she grabs his finger he always says "ok" because he knows she wants to go in the basement and look for the cats. They hide when she is here. She is just as gentle as can be with them but I think Patches might have had a bad experience with a little person before we got him because he is just scared to death of her. And because he runs from her it makes her want him all the more.
Chrisie, dancing the night away, goodness I haven't danced in years, I have to say I cut a pretty mean rug in my day though.

Debi, we need to get together soon, I am missing you. We could hobble together through the mall.
We have another game this afternoon and when we win that we will play the team we lost to tomorrow at 9am and when we win that we play them again on Monday. The winner of that game, which will be us, then goes on to States I am already cleaning off a space on my sleves in the den for that trophy. Brandon said that this one is mine. I sure will hate to see the season end, I hate when he doesn't play. But then I do have football to look forward to with Bryan.

Beth...some people are just plain ole dense, ya know?  Anytime I've babysat someone's kids, I've made CERTAIN that I have full permission to get them help if they need it.  Sometimes people get so involved with the "I wants" that they can't see what's important!  I would've given up on that situation a long time ago.  You certainly have patience.  (I think that's what I was put here in this lifetime to learn...and I ain't learned it yet!)

Um...like my dear ole sis...I can't remember names too well either.  In fact, I'm lucky to remember what happened yesterday!  I like to blame that on my meds, even though I'm not so sure anybody buys that!   :lol 

Now....I have a small request.  My niece just had biopsies done on two lumps in her breast.  One was benign and the other was malignant.  She is meeting with the surgeon next Thursday.  Not sure what all they're going to do to her yet, but if you could all remember her in your prayers that would be wonderful.  And...I thank you in advance!

Okay...gotta curl my hair and hit the road.  Got a bunch of running to do today.  So for ALL of you.....

Hi everyone - How are you all this morning?

Well, here was my day yesterday. After the movie, I called Matt to see what he was doing. He said that the gas people said the leak wouldn't be fixed in time for him to open the shop later that night so it was closed for the entire night. Well, since he hasn't had a night off since he opened last May (except for holidays), i suggested that we go to a casino. (Debbie didn't want to go)So , after Debbie dropped me off, matt and I went to a casino. Didn't win, but had lots of fun.  After that (about 1 in the morning , he wanted to stop at the shop and see if they were finished. No - they were still there and had the street blocked off. Matt was able to get to the shop and the gas guy talked to him. He was just finishing up and said that leak had been there for a while . Can you believe the owner never reported it. The worst part is that some of our employees go outside to smoke (I tried to tell them the hazards, but they are young and feel invincible) . I got shivers when I thought what could have happened with them smoking around a gas leak.  Anyway, everything should be a go for today at the pizza shop and I'll go over today and help out.

Brenda - Don't worry , honey, if you forget my name , you can always call me the "cookie lady".

Someone was talking about taking calcium. Since I have osteoporosis, I've been taking calcium along with fosamax for years. The normal reading bone density for my age is 1.1. Three years ago, mine was -3. When they took the test the other day it was -2.5. So it has improved but just slightly.

Now I know you all didn't want to know all that. :lol :lol :lol

Sharon - Glad your dad got a nicer room and that getting out of bed will be easier for him.

Linda - Glad to see you post herre, don't be a stranger, honey. How is your Mom.

Hi Mary - I haven't seen you post , so was glad to hear from you. I'm beginning to get that feeling too, but I do have a great time with my daughter. "Because I said so" was a funny movie, so we did enjoy it, but we still laughed about missing dream girls. 

I have to tell you all that you are all so nice and friendly. Thanks for welcoming us. I enjoy talking to all of you.

BTW - if you post a picture, could you put a name to it? That way, I can picture who I'm talking to.

Ann - I really do think you should bring up the driving issue with SIL.  You never know what can happen with children  and a matter of minutes may be the difference between life and death and she should realize that.  I remember when my son was young (he was the stubborn one) and he started to cry and would not stop. Then he held his breath and actually passed out. I can tell you that I was scared out of my wits. I could only think to breath into his mouth and he took a deep breath and started breathing normal again.

So - things happen , honey.

Pepe...you caught me off guard there.  I really had to put my thinking cap on for the age of my niece!  Seems they always seem like little kids to us as we get older, but not so.  She's 47 (a very young 47).  She's a real go-getter though and says she's not the least bit worried.  She's going to school right now to become an RN.  She also has a special needs boy who is 13, and her MIL (who has alzheimer's)  is living with them and she's taking care of her, too.  She really doesn't have time to be sick!  But, like I said, she has a good outlook and that's VERY important (as, I'm sure, Thea can attest to!).

I'm beginning to wonder what the heck they're putting in our water for all these instances of breast cancer to be showing up!!!  What is going on???

Ann,  nice to see you posting in the morning for a change!  Love that picture of Clay!  As a matter of fact, this is the style of hair that I voted on as my favorite in a poll...somewhere....yesterday.  I think Clay's Daily Double sent me there??  It was the highest ranking hair!!!  The Kimmel hair was second, I believe.

Everyone, have a nice day!  My guys are all going skiing and snowboarding tomorrow and leaving today at 4pm.  I think I'll stay home.  It's too cold to sit out and watch them all day at the ski resort.  So it'll be kind of a lonely weekend, but I've got my Missy and Lucy for company (Siamese and Schnauzer).  Plus all sorts of bookwork to catch up on!!  I'll probably pop in later today.  TTYL!!! :hugg to all!!   

Ann, forgot to mention your Matt getting his braces off soon!   :purpbana  One weird thing, they didn't make Justin a nightguard.  They did put retainers behind the front 4 upper and lower teeth.  And, they still have one tooth to move, so we're going back in 2 weeks to get a couple of brackets back on  his molars.  Oh well.

Justin celebrated his new smile by going to his second ever dance last night!!  They really grow up fast when they hit Jr. High.

Karen - Now don't you dare laugh!!!!!! I have no idea who was in the movie. The name of the movie was "Because I Said So" and it was about a mom and her three daughters. Two were married and she was worried because the third one wasn't so she goes on the internet to find her a husband. It was hilarious and we laughed ourselves silly. It  was well worth seeing, honest!!!!!

Evelyn, I've seen previews for that.  It looks pretty cute.  Diane Keaton plays the mom, and Mandy Moore and Lauren Graham plays two of the daughters.  I don't know who else is in the movie.

Debi,  this bug in "your" hair made me think of a video I was watching this morning.  It was one that the MidOhioClayFans gave us at the CD Release Party.  In it, is a montage of "Touch."  Part way thru, they have a closeup of Clay with my fave red stripey shirt on, singing away, and a bug is crawling up his shoulder, onto his collar, ready to crawl onto his neck.......then the camera goes away!!  I don't see if he knocks it off, jumps around or anything!

Gives me the creeps that a bug was "all over" Clay like that!!!!! ^{Sharon wants to be the bug.}

Karen, postal outlets in large dept. stores are.  I went to get my package, and ended up buying two bras in Zeller's, as that's where the postal outlet is :lol

We don't have outlets like that in stores, but when I was visiting my sister in Santa Fe, the regular branch post office was too crowded, so she went to a branch in a grocery store to put in her "change of address!!!"  A department store sounds like more fun tho!

I was at my local Elder-Beerman  today, 75% off signs everywhere, but had to keep my "eye on the prize."  I was there to get my Justin a new jacket suitable for snowboarding in, and had to put the blinders on cuz we didn't have time to spare!! :lol :lmao  As Justin said, I can go back tomorrow and spend all day there!!!  We did have luck; found him a 4-in-1 jacket for 75% off!!!  Only $20 including tax!!!

You girls will be proud to hear, I'm putting away my Christmas decorations!  Still one tree up in the family room, but the decorations are off it, and the living room tree is totally out of sight!!! :bouncy :bouncy  Now, when the weather gets suitable, I'm in the mood to get those decorations down from the bushes!!!    :lol :lol

Evelyn - Lady, I loved the saga of the "Dreamgirls" movie regarding you and your daughter.  Someone could almost make a movie about your efforts to see the movie!  Then, it was so interesting to hear about the gas leak near your son's pizza place.  That was dangerous.  You are quite the nightowl, too!  :wink

Me too. I want to see MUSIC and LYRICS. It sounds pretty good. While I was in Fort Lauderdale at the Art Tour, my galfriend and I rented, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. It was so funny. All about a dysfunctional family.

 I usually hit the hay about 12, then wake up at 4 , put on my earphones and listen to music until 6, roll over for another hour and then I am up.
 Mr J. and I get in the hot tub for 30 minutes, then coffee and to work, or play as I call my art.

 I am a member of "In Defense of Animals" a trap, neuter and release group.
 During the months of July, August and September I fed about 20 feral , abandoned cats from a deserted trailer park.
 I succeeded in trapping all of them. I kept 2 and they are in my patio where they live.
 My son built a great cage with runs, etc, in it. But now they have the run of the patio area.
 When a stranger goes by or they hear a strange noise they run into their safe place, the cage.
 I have had them for 2 months plus.
 They are not afraid of me but I cannot touch them yet.
 Sometimes it takes a year to tame a feral. Also have 2 at home.

I guesss I am rambling on so I will reluctantly go to bed. :bang :bang :bang
 A visit to my Dr. yesterday and told him I was tired.
 He said "GET MORE SLEEP" Just think of all the wasted time , just sleeping!!! :bang

Heeeeeeeey everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been able to talk to you all much lately. Work has been really stressful. My job now is nowhere near what I was hired to do. I do love it though. I precertify all the medications for our doctors patients when insurance requires it. We have about 70 docs, so I am very busy. Also, Medicare Part D with the insurance companies has been crazy. But, oh well. At least I have a job.

I decided to give myself a little vacation since I got reimbursed for my sick pay. I haven't been sick since I started working at the clinic 4 1/2 years ago, so I am flying to Raleigh next month for a short visit with the girls in NC. It's really the first trip where I've flown and changed planes and stuff by myself, so I'm a little nervous, but looking forward to it.  :bouncy

Who asked if Dylan has curly hair?  Yeah, he does right after his bath, but once he lays down or plays for a while it goes straight!  He sure has a lot of cowlicks though! I suspect, since both mom and dad have curly hair that it'll end up curly.

Marilyn.....Dylan is just way to cute....Aisalynn's hair does the same thing..curls up in the back when it's wet and then goes straight...and with all the cold weather it is so staticy....i't flys all over the place...LOL...sometimes it stands on end!!!!! I need to get a picture of that....

Pepe...now I know why you are known as Clay's Peppy chef...you really do love to cook ...don't you...you even make homemade bread???????? gosh I remember my grandma makeing bread when we visisted...it was he best..she used to make these things we call "llittle breads" it was like a little ball of dough that she dropped into oil ( I think) and then when they were cooked she would roll them in sugar...kinda like a doughnut but the dough wasn't sweet....probably wasn't the best thing health wise but they sure tasted good and is one of my fondest memories about my visits with grandma...dang i could tell some more but maybe some other time...Grandma was a special lady...

Shirley, he sure is and I know because I am his great aunt.  Marilyn (Mcraig) is his grandma (she's my sister).  That's okay, people get us mixed up all the time.  My little fella is Cristien.  He's a week younger than Dylan (they are cousins, of course, and hopefully will someday be best friend (as their fathers were).  The two adorable girls are my Emily (9) and Caity (7) (sorry - my camera went bust right before Christmas and I haven't gotten a new one yet.  I have plenty of photos my daughter took but haven't gotten around to scanning them -another thing on my long list of things to do).

Anyway, it is already almost 11:00 and I have done nothing -AGAIN - yet today except try to catch up here.   Emily has a basketball game this afternoon and as always I intend to be there to cheer.  Cristien is here but will be going home tomorrow (my son has to leave for Chicago, then  Boston, then Washington DC and has to move to New York as soon as he can find an apartment so don't know when we will be able to see Cristien - the visitation schedule will obviously have to be changed so we won't get to see him every week as we have been.  It is a very depressing situation in that respect.  Unfortunately, as you all know, things are not very friendly with his mother (to say the least) so she is not likely to let us see him with Chris not here.  That is really sad as he dearly loves to be here and loves his two cousins and his Aunt Julie and Uncle Dan (a whole lot).  He is very happy when he is here and runs to get his coat when Chris goes to pick him up and cries when he has to go home.  I can't wait until he can say "I want to go to Grandma's (or Aunt Julie's) house."  

Anyway, Sharon, so glad the move went smoothly.  Easier is always good!  Give Woody kisses from one his "adopted" kids.

Mary, will be cheering for Brandon's team as loudly as I can - hope I dont' drown you out.  I am a screamer at these kinds of things (ask Caity and Emily).  Caity's soccer team (2nd grade) beat a 3rd grade team yesterday and I couldn't be there - d___!  Anyway, I will be yelling for Brandon.   Can't wait to hear how they squashed this team this time.

Jan, I am Sharon, not sure if you knew that or not, and Woody is my Dad.  He had a very bad stroke last March 3rd, that has left him in a wheelchair, paralyzed on his left side.  Some of the RTM'ers have "met" him by telephone when we had a gathering last summer :hugg here is a picture of my hero that I love  heartburst

This was taken last year on Father's day in my parent's back yard.  It was Woody's first time back home since his stroke, so was a very emotional day.  I made a copy of this picture for my Mom and all siblings, and for Dad and gave them to everyone in a frame :bouncy
Dad lives in long term care since the stroke, so it's been hard, we do as much as we can to make his life easier.  He has not lost any of his humour or speech, we thank God for that every day.

SPREAD OVER HOT CRUST, SPRINKLE WITH RESERVED CRUMB MIXTURE, PRESSING DOWN LIGHTLY ON THE FILLING. BAKE FOR 25 TO 30 MINUTES.  COOL COMPLETELY, EVEN REFRIGERATE FOR A WHILE, BEFORE CUTTING INTO

GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST

     1-1/2 CUPS GRAHAM CRACKER CRUMBS
     1/4 CUP SUGAR
     1/4 CUP MELTED BUTTER

FILLING

     3 PACKAGES (8 OUNCES EACH ) CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED
     2/3 CUP SUGAR
     1 TEASPOON VANILLA
     1/4 CUP HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM
     3 EGGS
     1/2 CUP PECAN HALVES , COARSELY CHOPPED
     1 TABLESPOON BUTTER, SOFTENED
     1 TABLESPOON PACKED BROWN SUGAR
     1/3 CUP CARAMEL TOPPING

PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES. LINE JELLY ROLL PAN (15-1/2 X 10-1/2 X 1") PAN WITH ALUMINUM FOIL.  MIX CRUST INGREDIENTS AND PRESS INTO BOTTOM OF PAN USING A FORK AND THEN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND. BAKE 8 TO 10 MINUTES; COOL.

Sharon - These are some of the ones I make at Christmas. I just cut them into bite size cookies and put them on my cookie trays. The caramel ones, if you freeze them (which I do) don't drizzle the caramel on top. They both freeze well, but the caramel on top doesn't, so you can freeze it, then when it is thawed drizzle the caramel on top before serving.

Carolyn - I did make the banana cream pie - I thought for sure I had done it wrong - The crust did not stay on the sides of the pan and was almost pure butter. Then, when it got to the Cool Whip part and it said that the entire container was 8 oz, I wondered if I should add the whole thing or just 1 cup (don't worry, I followed the recipe & used 1 cup). Then, I topped it off with the Cool Whip & it got a bit melty (I made a note to myself to let the eaters top it off w/ Cool Whip next time.) Everyone at the party really loved it! & they all wanted to know what was in the crust! :para

Ann, you posted while I was composing!  I'm so glad you are enjoying the DVD!  I never told you guys, but I finally got my sister to watch the last 3 songs on the DVD (in my opinion, the BEST chance of getting her to love Clay).  Didn't work.  She says she likes him, just not as much as I do (but I can tell she is just saying that).

No, didn't get much work done office-wise.  I tackled the basement for 3 hours last night.  I had bought some plastic red and green containers with lids in order to reorganize my Christmas stuff.  I think that's why I've procrastinated so long, cuz I knew I wanted to go thru everything in the basement, stuff I didn't even have out, and reorganize it.  Did get rid of a lot, but can't seem to part with the many, many "ornaments" made by my kids in elementary school.  And construction paper creations.  Does anyone remember the "Santa's Marching Band?"  I have a set of those; they play Christmas Carols by hitting bells in 4-part harmony.  Haven't had those out in 10 years, but can't seem to part with them!!  I'm hopeless.  Anyone believe in horoscope signs?  Cuz I'm Cancer the Crab, and what they say about us being packrats and collectors is true!!

Had a great time Fri night when to Hubby's sister on Sat to help with her computer, got our truck towed away from the visitors parking area and had to pay $180 to get it back  :bang :bang ( new rule, you park in the visitors parking area - she lives in an apartment building- you have to pay $5 by mailing it in to the address given on a sign posted very small in the building )  and it doesn't matter how long you stay... 5 minutes or 24 hours, you have to pay. Yes, Ann, I am here! 

Carrie Underwood was on the Grammys and she was wonderful. She has a lot of class.  She sang with Rascal Flatts - a whole medley of songs from Don Henley and another singer.  If you remember, Rascal Flatts was the band she asked to sing with when American Idol had the finale where they all got to sing with their idols.  So, in addition to winning a grammy as best new artist, Carrie got to sing with her favorite band again.  She deserves it.

I loved Bo too, so it was hard to know who I wanted to win that season!

YAY!  I am TK again.  I am just toooooo good.

Yes, Brandon is a hottie and I am very proud of him. He is so talented, had many scholorship offers and even had a chance to play with the Junior Red Wings, ( the real ones) but has no ambition. I love him more than life itself but he really needs to grow up and get some resposibility.
For those of you that don't know I have 5 granson's with my daughter, all handsome as can be, 3 great grandchildren from the 2 oldest, I have 3 step grand children from my olderst son and a grand daughter and one on the way from my youngest boy. She is the Maddie you hear me talking about. We waited a long time for a girl and we spoil her all we can.

Clay wants us to come up with a 'scandal' that places him or him and someone else in a 'tawdry' situation.  He thinks that we all can do better than the tabloids.  He says to go ahead and use photoshop and make 'pictures' for 'evidence' so it is very REAL like.

:wave Hi everyone.  Cold again today with _SNOW coming our way!  At least it isn't the below temps that we had last week.

It has been another $$ weekend for us!   :bang  First repairs on Happy's car, then repairs on my car, now the garage door!!!  It busted on us this past weekend.  It wouldn't open.  SIL came to install a new one and we found out that a spring was broken.  No one sells the old style anymore, so we had to have someone come out on Sat. to replace them.  He is coming there this morning to install the new opener. 
The only good thing about this weekend was that I was able to go and see the grandbaby a couple of times.   :bigsmile :bigsmile  Daughter thinks that she is trying to say 'grandma'.  She says 'mmm-ma'.  Close enough for me!   :bouncy

mARY -Tell Paul I live in Ohio. In fact, I'm from Dean martin's home town. We live in a little village right outside of Steubenville, ohio (Dean's hometown). We are right on the Ohio river and it's like a tri-state area. We are about a half hour away from Pittsburgh, Pa. and about a half hour (in the other direction) from Weirton, W.Va. So, we have the best of three states that surround us.

thea - you won't even have to do dishes. Debbie is the kind of cook that when you sit down to eat, there isn't a mess in the kitchen at all. She cleans as she goes along and you even wonder if she cooked there. Now I'm a little messier while I'm baking, but the kitchen gets cleaned thoroughly right after I finish baking. Just get well, honey, so that you can enjoy things again. My prayers are with you.

Last night was my sons birthday so we had a little birthday celebration for him He got a new truck and needs "stuff " for it, so we gave him $. I usually never do that but he knows what he wants for his truck.

Just got back from a Spahetti Dinner fund-raiser at the High School Cafeteria!  The proceeds will be used for a trip to Chicago for the High School Band.  The students did a great job of being part of the wait staff.  The cafeteria was decorated Italian-style.  It was fun (plus I didn't have to cook))!

The meteorologists here in MI either have an 8th Grade education, or had all C's in college.  We are supposedly suppose to get 6-8 inches of snow.  Which usually means 1-2 inches!  :roflmao

Sharon - I don't know about your area, but here in Ohio, we are going to get a mixture of snow, and black ice. That's when the road looks black, but is pure ice. It will start after midnight tonight, with the worst of it coming tomorrow morning in time for the "going to work" traffic. Snow - anywhere from 2 to 4". That's Ohio, but it looks as the it is stretching quite a way up , clear to the lake area.

I don't think it would be a good day to drive.

Snow begins here around noon, with heaviest snow fall around 7 - 8 at night.  We can expect about 6 - 8 inches

Sharon, please, please be careful and stay safe.  If you're heading for Windsor you certainly will be heading into some of that white stuff.  Love you, lady!  Say hi to Lu (I assume she is traveling with you).

Here in Toledo we are expecting 8-10 inches today, 3-5 more tonight - approximately a foot of the white stuff with strong winds.  We are under a snow emergency and winter storm warning with blizzard warnings to the county immediately west of ours.  My son will be driving from Chicago today to Fort Wayne in the thick of it so please keep him in your prayers as well.  Hope it is all over before he has to head home.  Everything is already closed here in anticipation of the worst starting in the next hour or so.  It wasn't too bad except for slippery roads this morning (actually they were starting to get slippery last night when I drove home from Julie's and the grocery store - stocking up just in case).  Anyway, everyone please stay safe and warm!

Didn't get any work done yesterday at all - had Cristien until his grandfather picked him up around 1:00.  He cried - didn't want to go.  It was very hard to watch him leave with his arms reaching for me.  It broke my heart.  I don't know about this shared custody thing - not sure it is so good for the child but I'm certain it would not be good for him not to spend that time with his daddy (whom he adores) and this side of the family (we all just adore him too).  What a horrible situation.  It is making me very depressed.  Anyway, I have to get some work done today.  I figured I would be snowbound and could just work a lot the next couple of days anyway.  I am not allowed to shovel snow or be out in the cold too long so will have to wait for someone to come by to offer to do my driveway or wait until my son gets home to dig me out - my SIL will probably stop by after he finished working all night but I so hate to have him do this  as he works some long hours. 

I digress (as usual).  I will just say that I am really sorry that Brandon's team lost, Mary, but will be cheering for them for the playoffs. I'd say they were already winners anyway!

BRENDA,  :comfort  I can certainly understand why you would be feeling so down about this entire custody situation.  It's so sad how adults can turn sweet, innocent children into pawns in their own selfish games.  Cristien's family will live to regret their selfishness someday.  In the meantime, just pray every day for Cristien's happiness and welfare...that's about all a grandmother can do, I guess.

BRENDA, sure wished your son didn't have to travel today.  So sorry about the circumstances with your grandson.  I hate the instability for the little people when marriages don't work out.  I can't get out in the cold much either.  Ever since I had my second bout of pneumonia last March I have never fully recovered it seems.  :hugg

Hubby hooked up my laptop so I can use it in bed.
Yesterday I barely made it to the house. I actually almost fell asleep at the wheel at a stop sign. Got home at five, headed for bed, dropped all my clothes on the floor and zap, I fell asleep. Slept until seven this morning.

Do not know what is wrong, just soooo tired.

Miss my studio and my kitties. But my house kitties slept by my side all night.

I should never complain as so many of our dear friends are getting sick. Maybe of that horrible winter weather that is descending on most of you. Even here it is fortyish at night. PLEASE be careful all of you drivers that go to work. I cannot even imagine what you are driving through?????

Shirley - Thanks for the prayers.  I didn't remember that you had a grandson there too.  My prayers will include him too.  Not sure what division grandson is in, but he was in a jeep when it blew up.  We have hear that it is not life threatening at this time, but he wants a career in the service I think and he is hoping that this won't end it.   :pray

Good afternoon, dear RTM ladies!

Just got back from my daily tata zap session then we went out to lunch (which means no cooking tonight!   :purpbana).  It continues to snow steadily with a heavy, wet kind of snow.  Since my Dr. is about 22 miles away, it ended up taking us an hour each way.   We saw several accidents on the road along the way, so we are very grateful to be home now.

While I was getting my treatment today, I started having a major panic attack for the first time in a long while.  It happened when they raised the bed up about 7 feet above the floor and turned the Nuclear Medicine machine so that it could zap the other side of my tata.  I got through it by singing and praying quietly to myself (I'm not allowed to breathe deeply, talk or barely move when the radiation is coming out. )  :para  Anyway....one of the techs suggested that I bring in one of my favorite CD's  tomorrow for them to play during my treatments.  So.....guess who is going to get Clayed tomorrow????  And guess what they'll be hearing???  I'm going to make a CD of "All is Well", "Everything I Have", "Broken Wings" and "I Want to Know What Love Is".  Plus I'm going to give them a copy of ATDW for the CD library so that maybe other patients will be able to listten to HRH, as well!!  Spread the love, baby!!!

I'm trying. Susy (aikenseeker) noticed I hadn't posted this morning and called me at work to check up on me. We lost power at about 2:30 this morning and I had to get ready for work in the dark. I went to work with big hair (couldn't use my flat iron) and no makeup.  :para The weather is still horrible, so they cancelled bible study. We're supposed to get more snow tomorrow.

Why does the fact that there is not even 2 inches of snow on the ground not surprise me!?!   :bduh  I don't know what to expect for tomorrow morning, but when it was reported that we were going to get between 6-8 inches, my first thought was, "I'll believe it when I see it!"    :bduh

Sorry you had the panic attack.  I've only every had one of those, and they are not fun.  If you are like me, you're afraid of heights.  I can't understand why they would have to raise you 7 feet into the air for the treatment!  Don't they know it's scary enough getting treatments??  Yikes!  I'm glad you'll have Clay singing to you.  Whenever I'm blue or upset or depressed, I listen to Clay and he calms me.


I KNOW!!  SHOCKING!!!!  I was totally unprepared for that!!

Well, I made it into work today.  Main roads weren't so bad, just the back roads are still very snow covered.  Happy did go out this morning and used the snow blower.   :bang  but he assured me that he was OK with his back.  I even got up early to go out and do it.   :slick
The drifts are quite deep.  Around daughter's car, it had to be about a foot and a half deep.  :eek  Wind chill is below -0 again today.  Quite windy out there.   :cold  Everyone going out in this mess....   PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Where are these wonderful cards coming from?  You are all so talented.

Well, we got hit fairly hard , 8-9",  but lots of wind and blowing.  We are under a Level 3 snow emergency and no one is allowed on the roads except emergency personnel,  etc.  Everything is closed, even nonessential State and local offices.   I couldn't get out of my garage anyway - will have to wait for someone to come and dig me out since I am not allowed to do it.  It sucks being "handicapped," especially when you are used to doing everything for yourself.  We made it through without any blackouts, etc. (other than Fox last night so didn't get Idol - no biggie I guess).  Hope you all fared well.  Sure wish we would hear from Sharon.  She needs a laptop - did you hear that, Sharon? - so that she can keep in touch, especially when she is travelling under horrid conditions.   My son stayed in Chicago last night, is traveling today to Fort Wayne so hopefully they will have had a chance to clear up the roads somewhat.  

Thea, you please be careful getting to your ta ta zapping today.  At least they will be more bearable now with Clay playing in the background.  Too bad you can't have video as well.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I know Coffee is late this morning but I made you hot scones and hot biscuits to go with them with homemade strawberry jam and honey with whipped butter.  I was on the phone to Arizona this morning with my son as it is his birthday, yep I sure did have a valentine baby, so that is why I am late.

It is freezing cold here.  In fact it is so cold I am not going out to feed the birds or the deer, they say it is -20 with the wind chill factor.  The coldest day we have had all winter.

Hubby drove me to the studio this morning.
I am stubborn and insisted that I HAD to  be doing things today. Do not know what is wrong but my legs are not working properly. :bang
 Many years ago when I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis, the Dr. said that it might go to my legs someday and I sure hope that is not happening. :dunno
 It is in my back always and I can stand the pain most of the time. but, I sure hope my legs are not going to suffer from the same thing. :bang
 Anyway, I just hold on to things and hubby bought me a cane with a three prong foot so I would not fall down.
 And I am sooooo clumsy!!!!

Opened the door to the studio and there on the pass through was a gorgeous pot of tulips from my son for Valentines Day.
Tonight we are going out, the 3 of us to my favorite place for dinner, Italian!!!

And PEPE, you have a Valentines day son. Well, my son was born on Feb. 11th and my birthday is on Feb . 15th. So I was in the hospital with my Valentines Day present. on my birthday. Nice timing!!!!

Good morning everyone

Ann - Since my birthday is Saturday and, with hopefull good weather, my daughter is taking e out to dinner. I think my grandson will be coming, too. Matt can't come because of the pizza shop, but we will have a cake on Sunday afternoon  before he goes to work.

My daughter took yesterday and today off and made some anise pizzelles. Maybe next week I'll make another batch of the vanilla butter nut.  I'll be baking today, but haven't decided what I'll make. I was thinking of miniature nut rolls.

I read where Philadelphia Cream Cheese now have a cheesecake filling out.  All you have to do is get a graham cracker crust and just pour this into it. I've not tried it, but it sounds good. I'll bet you could put any kind of topping on it or just slice a piece and then put a dollop of somekind of pie filling on top. Sounds like an easy and quick dessert that would be very good.

Watercolors are hardest to do, aren't they?  I used to think I had a little artistic talent, back when I was in elementary.  But I gave up art in favor of band and choir, so now I'll never know!  But I remember trying water colors a couple of times, very difficult!!!

Karen  - I always am kind of nervous for Clay when he's on TV, too!  I think it is because I have lost my "objectivity" where Clay is concerned.  I just saw a post on Critical Mass that someone from the CV board is in line for the Kimmel show and they saw guys from the Kimmel show unloading a huge heart-shaped bed with a red velvet bedspread and were carrying it into the studio!   :bigsmile

Hi ladies!  I'm really tired this evening, but I had to respond to SHIRLEY's question:


The 2 radiology techs absolutely loved the CD.  They both expressed how disappointed they had been when Ruben beat Clay and were shocked to hear how well Clay fills out his clothes now.  I'm going to bring the airport UConn sweatshirt picture tomorrow as evidence.   :slick :slick :slick  They loved Clay's rendition of "Without You".  Both said they hated Mariah Carey's version.  They also were amazed when I told them about my "internet friends" and how I've met up with them at over 20 concerts over the past few years!!!  :lol

I think we might have two budding Claymaniacs!  :band  BTW, the music really helped to ease my anxiety today.  No panic attacks while hovering 7 feet above the floor!!!  :purpbana

I'm going to watch AI, then Medium then off to bed.  I'm really getting tired these days, possibly because of the radiation.

They hardly ever cancel school up here. THe busses were cancelled today, but school is usually a go  :hypno

Jeez, I don't think Idol is going to be very interesting to me this year.  Nobody really caught my attention like the past two years (Bo, Bucky).  I kind of wanted to see the singing cowboy (Matthew Bronstein I think?)  make it at least into the top 24, but of course he didn't.  At least he did better than last year tho!  I think the judges screwed up on the last two boys and the last two girls.  Par for the course.
