Yay GWENN!!!  A $500 gift card woooooo!!!  There was a trivia contest and the person who called in missed the question but they gave her and a lucky audience member a gift card. She picked a number and it was Gwenn's number!

Clay's hair is long.... he's wearing a brown shirt and black suit and tie.  Sounds weird, but looks good! 

He was picking on Kelly at the beginning, but she was picking back so.... :smile
It was cute.  He's quite natural in that chair!  Kelly showed a photo of a cat who had puppies?  Something like that.  He was cringing at the cat though!

The funniest part was when Kelly said she was going to turn him over her knee and give him a spanking.  Well, he was being a brat!  Anyway, Clay said "...so all I have to do is be combative??"

He's singing now -- the mix is weird and sounds really loud!!!  I wonder if that's why they just sang the one verse.... Or it could be a timing issue. They did do a lot of chatting at the beginning!  The background looks like a night sky covered in tiny little stars. Kelly gave him a big hug after the song and he mentioned the upcoming Christmas tour, starting "somewhere in Illinois!!"  :lol

I HATE spoilers so I haven't read this thread.. but I did talk to Gwenn....and she said he looked gorgeous.  She said there were a lot of people waiting in line since around 10:00 last night trying to get tickets, but none of them were able to get in.  Not a lot of Claymates in the audience.  (He's not used to that!)  She didn't tell me much more other than her own personal experience because she knows I won't be seeing it for another hour. :bite Sometimes I hate living on the West Coast.. but it's going to be 85 degrees here today.   :bubble  So, maybe that makes up for it just a little.

I guess if you've watched it, you know she won $500.  I'll be back after I FINALLY get to watch it.

Are there any pictures with both Clay and Mario together.   After watching Dancing with the Stars -- I found Mario somewhat adorable, too.   It'd be great to see them both together.

Girls at the CV are over at GMA where Clay, in a pinstriped gray suit and no tie, is recording MDYK for Christmas. One girl said he was running late and got out of the car RIGHT CLOSE TO HER!!!
They also said there is clack at the commercial breaks of C & K, but they are trying to record Clay at GMA, so the clack will come later

Ok. I found a way to watch and work at the same time. Resourceful huh.  :wink So basically I wasn't able to fully concentrate. I thought he did great, so cute. But the chemistry wasn't as strong as I had hoped. She wouldn't let him talk enough. I will be really interested to see the behind the scenes stuff on ET and the clack between the commercial breaks; maybe I can tell more from that. I was on the phone for 1000 Days so I didn't get to hear it fully but it sounded fine to me. He seemed like he was trying to make a point to her.  :lol And I can live with the hair that way. It's better than last Saturday (IMO; though I'm with momma on trimming it  :wink) Loved the dancing. He is so cute when he tries.

That's exciting about GMA. Can't wait to see it.

I just finished watching (west coast) sort of.  The moment the show started, my boys start jumping on me
and screaming   :bang  God forgive me... at that moment I wanted to lock them in the garage!

I thought he looked gorgeous and seemed relaxed/comfortable.  Yeah, the sound wasn't quite right during the song.

CLAY LOOKED FABULOUS.  WE HAVE SEN THE OUTFIT BEFORE BUT I CANNOT REMEMBER WHERE.  OF COURSE, IT FIT WELL.  VERY WELL. :thud  HIS HAIR IS LONG BUT VERY WELL STYLED.  I LIKED IT.  A LOT.

LORRIE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THE LINE MESS BUT IT IS SO AWFUL EVEN IF YOU HAVE VIP TICKETS.   WE LEFT MY BROTHER'S BEFORE 7.  WE WALKED TO THE STUDIO WHICH IS 10 BLOCKS.  THEN WE STOOD IN 3 DIFFERRENT LINES UNTIL 8:50.  AND THIS IS GOOD.  SOME LADIES WERE THERE FROM 10 LAST NIGHT IN THE POURING RAIN IN STAND-BY AND DIDN'T GET IN.  THERE WERE TONS OF PEOPLE IN STAND BY.  ALL CLAY FANS.  I BET WELL OVER A HUNDRED.  THE STUDIO ONLY HOLDS 160, SO MOST HAD NO CHANCE AT ALL.  ABOUT 1/4 OF THE TICKETS ARE VIP.  SECURITY WAS WORSE THAN AT AN AIRPORT.  AT 8:50 THE VIP FOLKS WERE LET INTO THE STUDIO.  IT WAS RIDICULOUS.  MOST OF THE VIP TICKETS WERE CLAY FANS.  BUT NOT ALL.  THE OTHER TICKET HOLDERS WERE MOSTLY NONCLAY FANS.  I BELIEVE THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME CLAY HAD AN AUDIENCE THAT WAS NOT THERE JUST TO SEE HIM.  DIFFERENT DYNAMIC.

THE CAMERAS ARE VERY BIG AND I DIDN'T SEE ABOUT 1/3 OF THE SHOW.  I HAVE TO WATCH THAT LATER.  I HEARD, BUT COULDN'T SEE.  THAT IS ANNOYING.  BUT, THE BAND WAS SET UP RIGHT IN FRONT OF US.  COULDN'T SEE EYEBALLS AS IS MY DREAM, BUT I DID SEE CHEEKBONES.  I THOUGHT HE SANG HIS HEART OUT, BUT THE SOUND WAS OFF.  I HAVEN'T HEARD YET WHAT THE TV VERSION WAS. 

DURING COMMERCIALS THEY SPOKE TO PEOPLE.  THEY WENT UP THE CENTER AND WE WERE ABOUT 8 SEATS IN SO ID DIDN'T GET CLOSE.  THERE MUST HAVE BEEN SOMEONE HE KNEW ON THE OTHER SIDE, BECAUSE HE KEPT GOING OVER THERE DURING COMMERCIALS.  THE GIRL NEXT TO ME HAD THE LINDA HUBER GORGEOUS PRINT AND CALLED OUT TO CLAY.  HE WALKED OVER TO HER. HE LOOKED AT IT AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED.  SPOKE BRIEFLY AND HE SAID HE WOULD SIGN IT BUT THEN HE GOT CALALED AWAY TO TALK TO SOME PRODUCER OR SOMETHING.  WE WERE IN THE SECOND ROW SO THAT MEANT HE WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I HAVE NEVER BEEN THAT CLOSE AND I WAS MESMERIZED.  ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME KNOWS THAT I HAVE A BIG MOUTH, BUT I COULDN'T GET ONE SINGLE WORD TO COME OUT OF MY MOUTH.

THE DANCING WAS ADORABLE.  I BET THEY PRACTICED CAUSE HE DIDN'T LOOK BAD AT ALL.  THE AUDIENCE WAS VERY INTO EMMITT AND MARIO.  THEY GOT HUGE APPLAUSE. 

WHEN THE SHOW WAS OVER, WE WERE TOLD TO STAY IN OUR SEATS BECAUSE CLAY WAS GOING TO SING ANOTHER SONG.  WHILE THEY DECORATED THE BAND AREA, HE TALKED A LITTLE TO THE AUDIENCE.  IT WAS THE CLAY WE SEE IN CONCERT.  GAVE ME A WARM FEELING.  BUT THEY KEPT CALLING HIM TO DO STUFF AND TOOK HIM BACKSTAGE.  HE CHANGED INTO A GORGEOUS GRAY SUIT AND WHITE SHIRT.  COULD DO THE BUTTON THE THE SLEEVE.   SOMEONE IN THE BACK YELLED OUT THAT SHE WOULD BE GLAD TO HELP, BUT ANGELA DID IT FOR HIM.  HE SANG MDYK AND DID A GREAT JOB.  BUT, HE HAD ASKED THE AUDIENCE NOT TO APPLAUD BECAUSE HE ENVISIONED A FADOUT AFTER THE SONG.  WELL, WHEN HE GOT DONE, THE CREW AND KELLY APPLAUDED AND SOME OF THE AUDIENCE FOLLOWED SUIT.  BUT NOT A LOT.  HE TOLD THE PRODUCER HIS IDEA.  THEY DIDN'T LIKE IT.  THEY SAID THEY COULD FIX THAT LATER. 

WHEN WE WERE TOLD TO LEAVE, MOST EVERYONE DID.  CLAY WAS TALKI8NG TO THE FAMILY OF THE MAKEOVER WOMAN AND I WAS DYING TO SNEAK OVER, BUT THE LADY WAS TRYING TO GIVE ME MY GIFT CARD SO I COULDN'T.  I WOULD HAVE GIVEN UP THE CARD FOR A HUG FROM CLAY. 

BUT I GOT CLOSE ENOUGH AND I FEEL BLESSED.  I TOLD MY BROTHER THAT HE DIDN'T NEED TO GIVE ME A CHANNUKAH GIFT.  THIS WAS IT.

Okay so finally! Finally I've had a chance to watch some of C & K. I have to say, I don't see what people were so upset about with the Clay's hand over Kelly's mouth thing. I thought, A that it was obviously done in fun by Clay and that Kelly handled it well considering who she is, they made light of it.

I do agree that there was something off about the production quality of A Thousand Days.

Clay was wonderful though.

I'm still downloading more and I love him loads.

I LOVED Clay's hair - thought it was perfect and gorgeous!!

I Loved Clay as a co-host - can't stand Kelly - so he did good putting up with her.

I thought the song was horrible!  The sound was terrible and the backup singer were way too loud.  Just wasn't his normal good singing.  sorry.

But I loved watching Clay for an hour!!  It was awesome!!

I just finished watching it for the second time.  I like it a lot better than I did this morning. I am not a morning person.  Kelly should have let clay do more talking, and I don't think this one will be better than the tyra one, but it's no fault of his.  He looked great and sounded good.  I think he just needs to trim the back of his hair, the bangs longer is hot, but they need to start doing them forward its starting to get a little 80's.  Overall Loved it!  Could he be any cuter !?! :bouncy :shappy

I just wanted to add my two cents about the song.  I went to all of the LA tapings, and at everyone one of them, the sound was much better in the studio, and even outside at Kimmel.   It was especially bad when Megan aired.  I'm wondering how Tyra will turn out, but I'm not counting on anything different from the others.   I think it's a shame they can't get the sound right since it would be most beneficial in promoting a CD.  :para

I totally agree Lorrie - I think the acoustics in a small studio such as the ones where the talk shows are filmed just don't lend themselves to LIVE music and singing. I wonder what other artists do when they perform?  Lip sync perhaps?
At least we know he didn't do that!

Someone at the CH went and found some Regis & Kelly forums and everyone there seemed to think he sounded fine.  Are we just spoiled?  If we are, I ain't complaining.

I watched my tape of R&K last night while cooking supper.  My son just got home from college and was watching with me.  I thought there was great chemistry between Clay and Kelly.  I loved the bantering back and forth.  They both seemed to enjoy each other's sense of humor.  And Clay looked great.   :thud

I'm glad to read others saying the sound was off for A Thousand Days.  It definitely was.  And it threw Clay off, I believe.  He did miss one note early on...and my son said that he didn't know Clay was parially deaf.   :bang  I'm going to play the Kimmel version for him.   :wink  The rest of the song....Clay did a great job.  It was the sound mix that sounded not right.

GWENN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO excited that that was you that won!!!!!  We have never met, and I haven't seen a picture of you, so I didn't know that was you until I read it here!!!  I can't wait to watch it again, now.  CONGRATULATIONS!!!  And especially on getting to be that close to Clay.

I've watch twice, so far.  This was perhaps my favorite of all his promotional appearances, because, we got to see "concert Clay".  God, he's a natural at this!  He's funny and sharp, and ding dang gorgeous!  Never thought I'd like the longer hair, but I really do!  He appears older and more confident.....totally HOT!  The only disappointment was the song.....although I did hear a few growls and he looked amazing.....good close- up shots   :thud   Thanks, Mr. Cameraman!    Did his voice sound a little strained?  He seemed to struggle with the high notes, and he cracked a few times.  I hope he's not getting sick   :para   Maybe I just need to watch a few more gazillion times!  :wink

Just had to say: How amazing was Clay!?!?  :bouncy He did such a good job co-hosting, putting up with Kelly, and he was so funny!  :lmao I just couldn't take my eyes off the TV!  :popcorn I love when he asked her to give him the lyrics to Invisible, grabbed his cup and slurped from it when Kelly said to get him more Vodka, I thought it was funny when he covered her mouth, and was trying to hold her back from Mario, I was either laughing or grinning the entire time.  :bigsmile Clandy- I loved the shout-out to Illinois, I think that was his shout-out to us both!  :shappy nan- Glad to know I wasn't the only one jumping around like a little girl! Well, Friday he had a little taste of it. Remember, this show was LIVE!!  No taping and editing. Just Clay, Kelly, the cameras and the audience.  That's raw!

He was on for the full hour, and performed as well.  I thought he was really good at negotiating the interaction with Kelly :wink as well as remembering the blocking, the cameras, the cut to commercials, and the audience.

The problems with the sound on the song were not his fault. He dealt with it as best he could though! 

And then, he danced! Not just the white boy shuffle either; but a modified mambo I do believe.  :giggle  And he didn't fall, or crush Karina's toes or anything!!  Bravo!

I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE COMPELLED TO WRITE E-MAIL TO ANYONE IN ALL THE BAD THINGS THAT HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT CLAY ( did that make any sense ? )

KELLY MADE HIM OUT TO BE THE MOST RUDE, ILL-MANNERED PERSON SHE HAS EVER MET. SHE STATED SHE HAD TONS AND TONS OF CALLS ABOUT THE FACT THAT HE PUT HIS HAND OVER HER MOUTH DURING AN INTERVIEW !!! SHE SAID HE WAS NOT PROFESSIONAL IN ANY WAY AND NO MATTER HOW FUNNY HE THOUGHT IT MAY HAVE BEEN, NO ONE SHOULD EVER PUT THERE HANDS ON HER FACE AND IT WAS COLD AND CLAMMY AND SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE THAT HAND HAS BEEN. SHE WAS IN NO WAY JOKING ABOUT IT EITHER. SHE WAS PISSED AND WANTED EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT IT. I watched this am R&K to get a feed back of the show last Friday and I could not believe that Kelly went on and on about Clay's impropriety by putting his hand over her mouth but she also made it appeared that Clay was rude the whole show. Regis loolked like he was trying to subdued her but she went on and on and did not mention one good thing about the show with Clay. Sounds to me like character assasination. I wonder what effect would this have on Clay's future dream of being a talk show host. I am too sad. My conclusion--- Kelly is a hipocrite !

I too watched R and K and was very very disappointed with her comments!!!!   What bothers me most is how this is going to make Clay feel......

I don't normally watch the show, so I didn't see what Kelly said.

However, I think you might be giving Kelly a little too much power where Clay's career is concerned!  There are many people who were on the set that day. If they all come out and say Clay was rude and unprofessional, then he has some bridge building to do.  Otherwise, I'll just say that Kelly was offended by Clay touching her face, she said as much on TV, and he'll have to take that information forward as he moves on.

We have to remember that it's her show.  But, there is nothing she can say that will affect Clay's career or his opportunities to have his own show.  She is a human being with the right to express her opinion, however inappropriate we may feel it is. But really, she is not that important in the big picture, you know?

Perspective is everything.  :wink

I wrote to compliment Clay's appearance on the show, and I won't be writing to complain about what she said today, because I didn't see it, and, I personally don't really care what she has to say! Maybe I'm still basking in the glow of the UNICEF snowflake!

But feel free to vent here all you want!  Let it all out - it feels good to vent!

I don't think what she said will hurt his career in any way, but I think that if anyone saw it, you would be pretty mad as well. And no, I'm not going to e-mail the show, not worth it of course so I will vent here !!!!  :bigsmile


 Why is it OK for her make fun of Clay and portray him as being gay at Halloween and for him to do something like this which was all in fun, HE is the bad person ???? It it was soo bad, why was she great with him the whole rest of the show. And you are right, She is such a hipocrite(sp? ) I can't hardly stand it. That  show has soo many viewers and she really and I mean REALLY bashed him and said NOTHING nice at all. What a spoiled little brat. I'm adding one more thing here... After watching R&K, I did not think it came off well at all, and I was really surprised that some people did.  From the moment the show started, I saw absolutely NO chemistry between them.  I am comparing his appearances on Kimmel, Megan and Tyra, where they all understood him and his snarky personality.  Clay was obviously getting frustrated because she wouldn't shut up and he couldn't get a word in edgewise.  When he put his hand on her mouth, and I saw the expression on her face, I cringed!!!!  I thought "YIKES" Clay blew it.  It appears she took it even worse than I thought.  Does she have no sense of humor?  And then to go on the next day and dis him like that.  She's needs an attitude adjustment.  She has NO classs if you ask me.

Rant I will!  When I heard what Kelly was saying I was livid!!!  To say all those things against Clay on National TV was horrible and she should tell Clay she is sorry tomorrow.  But hey that wouldn't do any good.  If I just heard about what happened I would be upset, but I saw it and I am just furious.  I will go along with the general consensus and not do anything but that bothers me as I want Clay to know he tried to do a great job as cohost but Miss Kelly just wouldn't let him.  I would also like for him to know that she was the rude one and not him.  Maybe we could all go to his fan site and send him a message that way that we are with him and always will be.  This had spoiled my day and believe me blue Mondays are bad enough.

I'm chiming in late here.  And personal issues have kept me from seeing the episode yet.  *gasp*  (Please don't take away my  :clayfan sign.  LOL)

But I must say that I used to watch Regis and Kelly.  She is the reason I stopped watching.  I dislike her for a number of reasons that have nothing whatsoever to do with Clay or his appearance on the show, and while I'm saddened that she's now bad-mouthing him (and behind his back no less), I am far from surprised by it.  I've witnessed her diva behavior before towards other celebrities.

I'm very sorry Clay is at the receiving end.  He's so charming and delightful!  I just can't imagine any woman not finding his company enchanting.

But I'm with Pamela and Clandy on this one, Maniacs.  I urge y'all to take the high road here.  Let it go.  If they get mass ticked off email, it will only serve to further discredit "Claymates" in general and she may just use it to berate Clay.  "And now his fans are sending me hate mail..."  *batting Maybe-It's-Maybelline-eyelashes*    :slap

I never thought I'd say this, but I wish Regis would get back with Kathy Lee.  I'd rather hear her talk about her kids than hear Kelly talk about herself.  Better yet, I'd rather see Live with Regis and Joy (his wife). 

It's neither here nor there, but did Clay's hand actually touch Kelly's face?  To me, it looked like he held his hand up to her face.....it didn't look like it touched her.  Oh darn....I guess I'll just have to watch it again to see for myself. 

Personally, I think Clay did a great job!  Unfortunately, it will probably be his last on Live with Regis.  If I remember correctly, wasn't there also an incident a few years ago with this show?  I believe they called Clay "rude".....something to do with Coke or Pepsi (or was I dreaming?)  Kelly either doesn't have a sense of humor (unless it's coming out of her mouth) or she made her mind up about Clay before he even appeared on the show.  I believe she was expecting a shy, passive guy (which would have been boring as hell), but got a funny, snarky one who matched her word for word.  Maybe she felt a little upstaged???  She must really be insure to go on and on like she did, trying to "prove" what a jerk Clay is......only NOT!!!  I will not give her any additional amunition to work with by writing a letter.....No sireeeeee!

If she was that upset by what Clay did, she should discuss it with him personally.....like in private, and give him a chance to make amends.  Instead, she toots her little horn on national television, without giving Clay a chance to defend himself.  She knows nothing of Clay, and obviously didn't care enough to find out.  Why?  Because it's all about Kelly.  She's even that way with Regis, and it's his show!  Best thing to do is ignore the little pest.   I'll bet she's dying to receive "hate mail" from the fans.  That way she can rant the rest of the week.  Well, she's not getting any from me! 

Sorry guys, but I am not ignoring it!!!  I've never before sent an e-mail when I thought Clay was wronged, but this is beyond something I want to ignore.  I'm not telling anyone they should or should not write to R&K.  You can all do whatever makes you happy.  But, I intend to send them an e-mail taking the approach that I am a regular viewer of the show, and am appalled at the lack of respect Kelly has shown to someone who was invited to co-host.  I think her behavior was deplorable!!!!!  I would feel this way even if it were someone other than Clay she was trashing on National television.  Who the hell does she think she is?  Well, nevermind, I think we know the answer to that.  She's NOTHING expect in her own small mind.  Do I sound angry?  Well, I am!!!!  I will calm down and write a rational e-mail after I have had time to think about what I am going to say.  As I said, I will take it from the approach that I am a regular view of the show.  But, I just can't let this go.

Lorrie, though I'm not writing the show, I respect your decision to do so.  I know you'll handle it with class.  Will you let us know if you get a response?

We got home from vacation last night, and one of the first things I did was to call ClayObsessed, who told me the Regis show did not go well at all - then I came here, and most of you thought the show went fine! (I will know whose opinion to trust in the future!  :lol ).

It is very unfair for Kelly Rippa to use the fact that she has her own show to vent her own opinions - I was shocked that she insinuated that Clay was disrespectful to women (said he would have never put his hand on her mouth if she were a man). Those of us lucky enough to have been close to Clay know how we were treated with respect - always.

I've watched the show in the past despite Kelly Rippa - not because to her. I know that many of you will disagree, but i think the show's producer needs to know when the show loses a viewer - and they have lost me. I will never feel the same about the show again - and it is not just because of Clay - I feel that she was very wrong to attack a co-host - one who has no way to answer.

I haven't had time to really look, but I have not found a way to email the show - there is just a place to ask a question (and it says question only). If you want to give an opinion, I have only found a fax number where letters can be faxed.

Over the years, I have learned that it is best to let criticism of Clay go - but I'm not sure about this one - I haven't faxed my letter yet, but I still may. Pepe - I loved your idea of sending Clay a message of support - I hope the OFC has started a thread. I really hate to go to the OFC, but in this case, I will make an exception!

Actually, if you really are a regular viewer of the show, and if you really are offended by Kelly's remarks today, then by all means you should feel free to use your voice! I would never tell anyone what to do, only what I would or would not do, and my own opinion on how it could possibly affect Clay.

I feel that expressing great support for Clay's appearance on Friday will go much further on his behalf than expressing outrage for Kelly's comments today.  That's just my opinion!

I am not a regular viewer of the show, so I'm not going to write about Kelly's unprofessional comments today.  In fact, I didn't even see them!  Honestly, I sort of assumed from what others have said that she is very often unprofessional in her conversations and behaviors, and acts that way all the time.  :para

I've been visiting the OFC during my lunch.  There is a thread started in the TV forum called 'Kelly Ripa isn't happy'.  There have been alot of encouraging posts to Clay there as well as everyone's opinions on the controversy.

Pamela - you are right - Kelly is very often unprofessional - she seems to want to play the part of the "cute little girl", long after she has passed the age for that. I bet anything that Clay is receiving lots of "Atta Boys" from people who have co-hosted with Kelly in the past (except for her husband, of course - he is a regular co-host) - I bet they would all have liked to have put their hands over her mouth!  :lol

EDIT - Clandy - I just sent a message to Clay through his last Blog - lost of other people are doing that, too.

Life will go on.....and this, too, shall pass.  I choose to just sit back passively and let this blow over.  I hope those who choose to e-mail their reactions to this "incident" will weigh their words very, very carefully.  Please don't discount the power of one misplaced or ill-conceived word or sentence in the world of the internet.

I really didn't like Kelly before, so her comments about Clay just confirmed my previous opinion of her.  She's so full of herself.  She's supposed to be the professional TV host, so even if Clay did something that she feels he shouldn't have done, couldn't she have been gracious enough to overlook a minor error on his part ... although I thought the whole thing was so insignificant.  I don't know her personally, but her on-screen personality could sure use a makeover!!

In a nutshell, Kelly is a disgrace.  It is one thing to playfully put a hand over a mouth.  It is another....to put your foot in your mouth.  This is exactly what Kelly did this AM.  She just couldn't wait to start bad mouthing Clay.  She was just DYING to start on him.  It was written all over her face.  But, what goes around comes around.  I hope that they lose viewers left and right.  Clay may have made an error.  No one is perfect.  But, Kelly made a bigger one by shooting off and not letting this go.  Her comments this AM were derogatory re: Clay Aiken. Cold, clammy hand....who knows where that hand was.  I bet that she would not say that about Mario Lopez if he touched her mouth with his hand....even after he coughed up a fur ball.  It was her right to be peeved or not to be peeved, but she had no right to slash and dice Clay on national TV.  That is what private apologies are for.  I guess that airing your dirty laundry on TV is all the style nowdays.  Tact....certainly ain't.

As for e mailing Regis and Kelly???   Nada.  But, I respect the opinions of those who choose to do so.  I don't watch the stupid show as a rule, so e mailing does not make sense in my case.   When it comes to moi, they can't lose what they do not have.  If Clay never shows up on R and K again, I won't care.  In fact, I hope (IMO) that he takes this whole thingamajig and translates it into a sign: put these damm shows on the backburner for a spell and focus on the music/artistry.  Develop the gifts, Clay.

This was not one of his concerts with all of his fans it was national tv .   I think Clay gave her too many zingers ,  she already had a dislike  of

him and the hand thing was over the top for her.  I too cringed when he did that, but that was a Clay like gag he would do with Q or A but

this was not one of them .  but SHE OVER_REACTED to the incident big time and the beginning of the show was strange, showing the clips

of her making fun of him and the cat incident.  I think Clay had to know they would do it and was willing to play along with it.  But why did

they not talk about the things he has been doing and his music.  Just seemed like the whole show at the start was snark and putdowns.

I have another question to add:

How come Kelly Ripa is allowed to make fun of (translation: be rude as hell) of Clay. (ex. cat picture incident or the gay Halloween costume)....and no one makes a lick of it.  But, when Clay makes an "oops" with La Ripa, all hell breaks loose.  This foolishness is spreading like wild fire.  I smell publicity stunt.  This move, on Kelly's part, was so calculated.   I hope that Clay Aiken will finally learn a lesson from this incident.  If he really is all about learning lessons, he needs to sit back, process, and learn a big one today.   More singing and less talking, sweet pea.

I had been wondering why before this Clay-Kelly thing do they keep having Clay on their show when during the AI competition Kelly had said before on their show, yeah Ruben we are rooting for you!.. Also she never seem to know anything about Clay . I don't understand but I guess show business is like that. Just keep pretending , be a hipocrite and pretend to be nice. I remember on that show they were talking about George Clooney once and she gushed "Oh to be George TOWEL".... I was like what?????  I stopped watching that show long time ago except last Friday when Clay was on. I was so excited for Clay and then this!!!!!!!To be fair,Regis was trying to playdown  Kelly's ranting . He even said with his hands behind him sometimes he gets the urge to do the same thing that Clay did. Damage control should have been done before the show but hey anything for rating and Clay being envolved is a big deal that any press can hope for. Be strong Clay, you have more class than she has.  

I don't watch this show unless there is a particular guest that intrigues me.  So, I guess you could say that I tune in several times a year, and it's NOT to watch Regis or Kelly.  There are, however, die hard fans who watch the show because of them.  I don't understand it, but then millions of people don't seem to understand why I follow Clay's career on a daily basis either. 

When I heard Clay would be appearing on the show with Kelly I was a bit apprehensive because of my opinions of KR.  IMO she has always appeared to be very self-serving and two-faced (for lack of less harsh words) and I've always thought of her the same way I feel about K. Griffin.  They both make me cringe.  I just don't appreciate their humor.  They could both be lovely, off-camera, every day people.  Their on-camera persona's aren't my cup of tea, but they obviously appeal to a lot of other people.   I have no beef with Regis or the show in general.

When I watched the show on Friday I have to honestly say that I thought Clay's playfulness and dissing of KR was a bit over what I would like to have seen......I remember he dissed her for the 5th or 6th time and she looked over at her producer.  Clay asked the producer something to the effect of not being allowed to make fun of her?  It was at that point that I felt she was getting extremely annoyed and I wished he would have settled down with the snark against her, because I could tell that as many have mentioned in posts above, her sense of humor (or lack of) was being challenged throughout the show.  Yes, she did diss Clay with the tasteless Halloween impersonation and she has made many inferences about him on the show, but perhaps he over utilized that platform as a means of snarking back at her on her own show.  I kept wondering what the R&K fans who know nothing of Clay were thinking and how it came across to the non-clay fan?  Has anyone asked around about that?  I'd like to hear opinions from the non-fans (opinions formed on Friday, not on Monday after her public tongue lashing.)

As has been mentioned in other posts, Clay's chemistry with Megan and Tyra and others as a guest was wonderful.  With Clay and KR there was no chemistry.  I felt she had her opinion formed of him previously and he of her.  I think it sort of works both ways.  Clay did not rip on any of his previous interviewers as he did on KR.  He seemed to be doing it in fun, but when Kelly did not respond in a favorable way for whatever reason, maybe he could have moved in another direction?  I've never seen her co-host with another man.  For those of you who have, what was the interaction like?  Have there ever been other co-hosts who have been as forward with her, calling her out on things, or did they play it up as being in awe of her beauty, poise, intelligence and wonderful sense of charm and charisma?.........perhaps that is the type of co-host that KR expects on her show.  Clay played to Kelly in the same way that Regis plays to her.  She obviously didn't appreciate it. When Regis is away, Kelly is the star and may thrive on having the opportunity to be coddled by a yes man.  With Clay as co-host, him being one step ahead of her at all times, she had to really work her butt off to stay on top.  I do think Clay handled his cohosting duties well, but his rapport with KR was really different than we've seen on any other show.  His fans know his snark, timing and persistence, KR may be  unaware of it and took it completely the wrong way?  But then again, was Clay really attempting to make a point to her and others that have been dissing him that he is pissed and wants it to stop?  Did he use this show as a platform?  Or, was it just a misunderstanding and misread on both their parts?  I believe Clay misread KR and thought he and she had a familiarity of sorts.....he seems to do that with interviewers and his musicians and backup singers and AI buddies, etc.  Unfortunately, KR is not Diane S.  She just didn't get it, she didn't read him.

KR has the right to feel whatever she is feeling about her cohosting gig, however, it just shows a very unprofessional, self-centered side of her personality to pout on national TV, hoping to garner pity.  The Stern reference was an even deeper dig, in my opinion.  I know exactly where she was headed with that one......pretty low.  Perhaps a more self-confident woman would have approached any issues pending in a private conversation and attempted to see a more positive vibe that was generated by the show.  My guess is that she just can't wait to get thousands of nasty e-mails so that she can publically substantiate her rant on the show and continue her pity party into infinity and beyond.  Her mind is made up and by airing it publically, as she did today, she would have to swallow a lot of pride to ever admit she may have misinterpreted Clay's intentions.   And, if he did apologize to her, I doubt whether she would ever allow the public to be aware of it.  I hope she and he will resolve this issue and that they both will move on to a better place.  I also feel sad that Kelly had the opportunity to publically rant, but Clay was not given the same opportunity.  I suppose that's the privilege of having your own show.  If Clay should ever be given that opportunity, I suspect that he would handle that power in a much more professional way.

I have been reading this thread off and on all day when I could get a moment.   Why does it always seem everyone is out to humiliate Clay at any cost.  I don't think this will have any long-term effect on his career because it sounds like most people will consider the source.

First of all, since when does Kelly R. have to have Howard Stern to think for her--can't she do it on her own.   :bduh

Secondly, I think more than enough has been made of this and it should just be dropped.  My wish for Clay is that everyone that is throwing stones right now, including one KR, take a look at the video from the UNICEF lighting Saturday night.

There they can see what an articulate, educated man our man is, and how well he can handle himself in all types of situations.  He has an abundance of class and is so thoughtful of others (particularly the children).  It also showed how involved he is in things that really make a difference in this world, and showed his humorous side a couple of times. 
And, I don't really think I have to mention this but, he is so darn good looking he makes a great impression.

Even above how Clay handled himself, I was so very proud to be a Clay fan and see how much respect and admiration the people at UNICEF have for him.

Where it really counts our man does not take a back seat to anyone. 

It seems to me that if anyone deserves an apology, it's Clay.  After all he didn't start criticising someone in public who wasn't there to defend themselves.

OK I've wandered on long enough but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

OK, I watched the download, and here is my take on things.

First of all, I find the whole thing ridiculous.  First she says that she believes if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything.  YEAH, right.   :bduh  Then proceeds to say nasty things.  So already she scores zero with me, and is now a liar.  Later she says if you're in the public eye, you need to be respectful.   OK, Kelly, once again you are not doing what you claim SHOULD be done, because YOU are not being respectful of Clay.

A LOT of phone calls???  I doubt it. I know many of you thought something was not right when you saw the show with Clay, but I honestly didn't detect that.  Maybe I was so focused on Clay that I wasn't paying that much attention to her.  But she was goofing around too, so I thought they were just having fun.

How could she think he wasn't just goofing around by putting his hand over her mouth???  Saying it was COLD and CLAMMY for effect did just the opposite.  It made her look stupid.  I don't think Clay showed any lack of respect or rudeness or hostility AT ALL.  And who does she think she is that she deserves respect and Clay doesn't???  Anyone watching the show could clearly see that Clay was just goofing around.  So who the heck would be calling her saying otherwise???

AND her facial expressions were SO over exaggerated, I could  :puke  , and I hope it lands on her.   :wink

I think Regis came across as sticking up for Clay.  He kept saying he was a nice southern boy, and he repeated that maybe he was just nervous.  So I DO think what Regis said was in Clay's defense. 

I am sure Kelly lost a LOT of fans today....not just those from the ClayNation.  To bash a guest after they had been on the show is just so very rude.  She seemed like a wining bwitch. 

I HOPE the show gets a lot of flack for this.  Because it doesn't matter who the guest is....no one should be treated like that. 

I agree that we don't want to bombard the show by defending Clay and make it look like WE are whining.  But on the other hand, as I said, I don't think it matters who she was talking about.  She was way off base.

So I say....if you feel the need to send a message to the show, then do it.  But address Kelly, and not direct the conversation on Clay.  That is my opinion, and I know many of you don't agree with me.  I really don't know what I am going to do....because it is not good to act when angry.  But if I DO decide to e-mail the show, it will be to ask them why Kelly is allowed to talk so negatively about former guests.  And to let them know I will never watch the bwitch again.

That is MY humble opinion, and I am sticking with it.

I don't see this affecting Clay's career.  If anything, it may impact Kelly's.  Not only did she embarrass herself, it sounds like she embarrassed Regis, and her audience.  They came to be entertained, not whined to.  If she had a problem with Clay, it should have been addressed privately and settled between the two of them.  Her outburst only showed her unprofessionalism.  Clay was wrong to put his hand to her mouth, but I do not believe it was done maliciously.  NEVER!  I truly believe he thought it was funny, playful.  She, on the other hand, planned her little "speech".  She knew exactly what she was doing, and it was malicious, IMO.  I don't believe Clay was out to hurt Kelly, but she had an agenda today.  She was unprofessional, hurtful, and totally out of line.  She overeacted to a simple act that should have been left alone after Clay apologized.  In the end, this too shall pass.  Kelly will go on being the self-centered co-host to Regis, and Clay will continue to sing beautiful music to me!  He's endured a whole lot worse then Kelly Rippa.  His career is not going to crumble because Kelly called him out on national TV.  So....she doesn't like him.  What does Clay say?  "You can't make everybody like you".    

This story was just on the Insider.  Apparently, the Insider cameras were backstage right after the show, and they saw no signes of a problem between Clay & Kelly.  Hmmmm, are they calling Kelly on this?  Once again (of course) Clay is their text message question of the night.

The clip on the Insider was very quick.  It showed Clay and Kelly backstage, clowning around.  Clay even put his hand to her mouth again, and she laughed.  Then he spoke about how "professional" Kelly is, complimenting her.  Well, that just made her look more like a jack....a$$.  Nice going, Insider!   :wink

After I got over my initial reaction to KR today and was able to think in a more rational manner, I thought the same thing, WilsonClaymate.  I read the UNICEF Snowflake Ceremony thread and saw many posts by people who were there that talked to UNICEF employees.....all of them commenting on how remarkable Clay is as a person and UNICEF Ambassador.  That is really all that matters.  Kelly had her two minute rant about Clay on a daytime  TV show when much of the world was at school, work or social gathering.  Her opinion and that of her buddy, Stern's, means absolutely nothing to me, you and most of the world.  With most of the audience, her little flit was forgotten 5 minutes into the show.  However, in the Clay Nation it will be the EVENT of November 2006.   :lol  Hopefully most of the audience doesn't even pay attention to half of what she says and  lets her self-serving babble go in one ear and out the other.  There will be other guests and segments to fill their minds with entertainment drivel, because that's really all the show is, if you think about it.  They do some nice makeover things and give away prizes, but their mission is ratings, so viewers who form their judgments based on the opinions of KR need to turn off the TV and get out in the world.

I also got the impression that Regis was embarrassed.  If he agreed with Kelly would he have said so?  Any thoughts from those of you who watch this show on a regular basis?  And, I didn't hear any audience applause in favor of her opinion.


I have to wonder if KR really thought Clay was trying to put her into a submissive position and that his actions were testosterone driven?........dear lord if that could have only been me.   :lol  Maybe she has issues with men?  If she really thought Clay's intent was to put a female in her place, then  I find it quite funny, considering the publics perception of Clay.   

IMO, she sees this as an excellent publicity stunt.....right along the lines of Cruise and Shields.  I don't think she will succeed.  She's not that important.

I was watching the Bachelor tonight, (yeah, I know.... :lol ) and GUESS WHO THEY SHOWED????? Yep, Big Mouth Kelly dissing the contestants.  And I thought I could get away from her for awhile.....  Does she dis everyone???

This has been on my mind all night.  And now I have had a TOTALLY different random thought.

If ANYONE can stand it, I hope someone will listen to the show today to see what it said.  NO, I don't expect anyone to LOOK at her.  Just listen to the sound and see how many hundreds of people contacted the show.  If I were off today, I would do it just to pass on the news, but I have to work.

Kelly called in and said Rosie was being irresponsible and that not everything has to do with a person's sexuality. She also went on to say that she was the only host who had him on and respected his sexuality and didn't ask about it. To which "The View" gals responded that they had him on and didn't ask about it. Basically, Kelly was ranting at Rosie for insinuating that her issues with Clay putting his hand over her mouth were due to the recent rumors about Clay.

I was able to watch the Rosie/Kelly clip from The View on my lunch today.  As much as I'm not a KRipa fan (especially now) I did think it was good that she called Rosie out on the homophobic "excuse".  It was great that Rosie did try to defend Clay but there is no reason that Rosie should have brought her own agenda into the whole mess.  Kelly never insinuated to me that it had anything to do with her perception of his sexuality.  I think she was mainly just offended that a guest host (whom she didn't hardly know) had the guts to do that to HER on (what she thinks is) her show.  I'm sure Clay regrets doing it now after it has been blown out of proportion.  He was trying to joke with her and she just didn't get it.  :rolleyes  I sure hope he will be able to do a little skit or say something snarky about it tonight at the AMA's.

Based on Kelly's previous Halloween skit about Clay, I think that her remarks about his putting his hand on her face and about her not knowing where his hand has been was a slightly homophobic remark.  I don't think she would not have complained if it was Mario Lopez putting his hand over her mouth.  She was practically trying to jump in the guy's pants.  Part of the motivation for Rosie's comments may have been based on her own personal agenda, but I think she was trying to help Clay in her own way.  She did seem to like him when he was on The View.  I think Kelly called just to do some damage control.  Anyway, how does she like it when someone makes a negative comment about her whenever she wasn't there.  The fact she really didn't help her cause with the lame excuse that it was "cold and flu season" leads me to believe that it's best if Clay doesn't respond and let Kelly be judged by her own actions.

I'm about to watch the clip from the View...I hope there's some good Kelly-bashing.

When I watched the original clip where Clay put her hand on her mouth, I actually thought she was pretty justified in making sure that Clay knew she wasn't happy about it (even if it was funny), but it's just despicable that she would bring up the issue on the next episode when he's not there to defend himself. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a Clay fan, I'd say that for anyone.

This viewer was just amazed Kelly would react as she did to Clay putting his hand over her mouth.  He had been given the responsibility to co-host and she was rapidly asking every question.  He felt he wasn't helping and fulfilling his responsibility, so he tried to find a cute, light way to let her know.  The scolding was unbelievable!--a side of her I'd never seen before.  [Since she was such a Ruben fan, I guess she probably doesn't know that Clay is just about the cleanest person in America--by his own admission, he's a clean-freak--if germs were the real issue.]  I just don't see the big problem.  At any rate, her scolding of a guest co-host seemed extremely unprofessional.  It seemed she was also scolding toward Rosie, who has supported Kelly.  I had to wonder what's really going on with Kelly.  Thanks to Rosie for her empathy and compassion toward Clay!

*is shocked* I just finished watching The View...I can't believe she was going after Clay /and/ Rosie O'Donnell (two of my favorite celebrities...I swear, if she goes after Paul McCartney, I'm going after her ;D). I think it's good that she spoke her mind, but she should have let it go after the Clay episode was over...and this wouldn't have even have been an issue if she had paid attention when Clay said "You just let me know when you want me to talk". And although I don't think Rosie's homophobic theory was right, Kelly had no right to say that what she said on her own show was "outrageous", especially considering what Kelly said, not only on her own show, but on the View.

But although I think Rosie's assumptions were wrong, she was supposrtive, in my opinion, throughout the entire conversation, saying how she feels bad that he's in such a tough situation and she sided with Clay, whereas the others, although didn't say anything bad about Clay, sided with Kelly (which is their right, it's all about perspectice).

I'm so upset with Kelly, I can't stand it.  I registered on the Regis and Kelly website and e-mailed Kelly telling her I felt she was extremely unprofessional and rude to Clay.  She got the name of the song he was going to sing wrong, the name of the album wrong, and was rude through the entire show.  I heard he apologized for putting his hand over her mouth (someone should go for her throat) and yet, she tore him apart on national TV on Monday to Regis.  I'm going to get the name of the producers of the show and write them about her unprofessional actions.   She has years of experience in television, Clay has just a few years experience.  It just proves she is not much of an actress if she couldn't put on a happy face and be a hostess with Clay for an hour.  Well, thank you for letting me vent.

After suffering through the AMA's tonight I loved the way Clay had no comment. He didn't have to say a word!

That was one of the best moments of TV I've seen in a long time! What a sense of humor he has! I hope that this clip is picked up by all the shows that have been following this story.

I am quite relieved after the skit of Clay and Torrie Spelling. I actually laughed out loud when it happened. What a clever idea! I am sure it will be picked up by Insider tomorrow . This morning watching the View I wanted to call in so badly. HOW DARE SHE demand or even expect any respect from Clay when she has been dissing him in the most vile ways since day one!  Maybe he embarrassed her on national TV, but there were many times when she majorly embarrassed him on TV and behind his back.  She EARNED his disrespect a long time ago.  I know his mistakes were unintentional, but in light of her meanspiritedness, I almost wish they were done purposely.  (Oops Clay, your bad  :slick)

HOW DARE SHE say he was hostile from the start!  That's projection on her part.  Clay was willing to put it behind him and go on the show and entertain, but would they let that happen...NO...they have to rub his face in it (Halloween) again, but only show the funny part that makes them look cute, and stop short of the nasty part that makes them look bad.

HOW DARE SHE say that Clay hasn't apologized when he has!

HOW DARE SHE say that she has forgiven him and then continue to disparage him at every opportunity.! You can't say the things she has said, in the way she has said them, repeatedly,and then claim to have forgiven.  When you look at the big picture, Clay is the one doing the forgiving--over and over again.  She doesn't seem to know what forgiveness truly is--that once you have forgiven, you drop it! 

HOW DARE SHE commit the biggest NO NO of all--suggesting that Clay's music be "burned in the streets".  To even hint at destroying someone's art is absolutely out of bounds--a huge slap in the face to the artist, the artistic community, and every American.  To me, that was the most shocking thing I heard in the entire show.  There were many jaw-dropping moments, but that's the one that I still can't forget.

Clay must have learned alot from this experience, but his were rookie mistakes.  She is being malicious and calculating.  I'll bet Clay got alot of supportive comments tonight from people at the AMAs, people who have also done that show.  I'm glad that he had a forum tonight to comment in his own way and show just how ridiculous she really is.  Near as I can tell, Clay's coming out smellin' like a rose compared to her.  I'd love to know what people in the industry think.  I just hope he never goes near that show again.  No one is safe there.  The producers and Kelly cannot be trusted.  A neophyte needs direction, clear boundaries and protection; they obviously provided none.  I'm sure that's what Regis was talking about when he said "communication problem".  Even if Kelly wasn't there he couldn't trust them--Gelman was giving him bad advice whenever Clay consulted him.

THANK GOD FOR PAXIL!!!  Now maybe Clay sees why LA people need therapists.  You go to therapy to keep from going crazy, not because you are.  Nobody could fight this constant barrage of heartache alone.

I just hope the whole issue will just be over. It is blown out of proportion by Princess Ripa. For some reason, i feel uneasy about this whole issue. May i the only person feelin like tt?

I expected for all of this to have died down by now. I truly think that neither Clay nor Kelly intentionally offended the other. Clay did it in his humorous joking way that was a bit not-all-that-polite given the circumstances (I agree with a previous comment that he was trying to turn the attention to himself a little, but I don't think that was rude at all, given that he did sing a song and the Halloween clip was played, and, plus, Kelly wasn't letting him talk), and Kelly believed she was standing up for her rights (a little bit of women's rights got involved, judging by her comments to Regis), and although in this particular instance I think that her talking about it when Clay wasn't there was completely uncalled for, I respect that she stood up for herself. She just shouldn't have talked about it later when Clay wasn't there and she shouldn't have called the View to tell Rosie that what she was saying on her own show was innappropriate.

Kelly came off looking much worse, though, which I think is good because, in my opinion, Clay was clearly the "good" person in this feud (if you want to think of it in terms of good and bad).

I am one of those who thought the whole thing was blown way out of proportion, but, the incident I guess they now call the "Aiken Gate" was even shown on GMA (they showed a clip of Torrie putting her hand on Clay's mouth and called it "Clay got the last laugh  :roflmao) and I got a chance to see what happened again.  And, now I don't think this should be just swept away.  After her "bitchy" remarks, this "diva" should be shown for what she is and have someone take her down from her "throne".  Wathing Kelly go on, it kind of brought back memory.  Do you guys recall Kathie Lee and her "how dare you" rant on her show?  Well, what happened to Kathie Lee should serve as a lesson for Kelly.  Audiences liked Kathie Lee because she seemed so down to earth and we could relate to her, well after her "how dare you" rant, I know personally, I grew to dislike her and saw that she was a diva and soon the rating went down.  Then when Kelly Ripa came along, she seemed "down to earth" humble, so self-deprecating, it was like a breath of fresh new air.  Well, I guess we got to see what kind of person she really is - just another self-absorbed, bitchy diva.  Well, she has a very short memory span because she forgot what has preceded her. :naughty

As for her lame excuse of "I don't know where his hands have been", well, I just found it really laughable.  Now, didn't she have to "KISS" on her soap?  As such a health consicous person, did she require all her kissing partner to disinfect their mouth? :bduh

And I agree, I thought it was pretty funny, but I don't think anything bad about Kelly for having a problem with it (as long as it was for the reasons she said, and not homophobia), but she definitely should not have made a big deal about it on not only her own show, but on the View as well. She should have either talked to Clay privately or just let it go (if it had bothered me like it seemed to bother Kelly, though, I wouldn't have just let it go, I would have talked to him. If Kelly had done that, I don't think anyone would have a problem with it, because she has a right to not want his hand on her mouth. It's more that she was acting like a jerk when he wasn't even there. I don't think it would have bothered me, though, because he did it in good humor and it actually was very funny).

I don't normally watch R & K, so I don't know for sure, but I think someone said that there was no mention of it.

I only watched the first half hour, so I'm not sure if I missed anything or not.

Clay took the high road, and I'm so proud of him!  As a co-host, he endured "blistering" rudeness from Kelly.  Kelly followed that up on Monday by bashing him on her own show, when he was not even there to defend himself.  Then, in a phone call with The View, she said more unkind things about him.   Clay made no vicious remarks about anyone, simply turned the other cheek, and sent flowers.  What professionalism!  It was a real contrast in character between Kelly and Clay!

I totally didn't expect, what I thought was such a great show, as I said in my last post, to turn into all of this.  :shocking First of all by sleeping in, I missed everything on R&K and The View this week, and caught clips on the entertainment shows, late night news and so on. Four things come to mind when I think of Kelly, 1. she is a two-face, she laughed off the whole Clay covering her mouth thing, and goofed around for the rest the show, with a phony smile plastered on her face as she introduced him to sing and got the name of his song wrong, then she blows what was clearly a joke way out of proportion. Clay laughed after he did it, the audience laughed, they could tell it was a joke, why couldn't she?  :bang 2. she a hypocrite, having done the exact same thing to Regis several times. What, it's fine when she does it, but nobody can do it to her? And if she's so afraid of germs, maybe she shouldn't be doing that show at all, where she's surrounded by people and air-born germs everyday, if she was going to get sick, it would be from that, not because Clay touched her. 3. She's a diva, she stewed over this all weekend, then blasted Clay on TV, when if she didn't care for what he did, which I personally thought was funny since she kept over talking and interrupting him, she could've turned to him on the commerical break, and told him privately, rather then dragging it out on national TV. And 4. She is the one who is un-professional, and she has some nerve calling Clay that, not only was dragging it out on TV rude and un-professional of her, she never even acts professional on that show! I don't think her shaking around with Mario Lopez, talking about "taking the girls out for a walk" to that lady who got a makeover, or anything else she does on that show is professional. I personally never cared for her,  :puke not on All My Children, I couldn't believe she was picked to host with Regis, and that ridiculous sitcom of hers, Hope & Faith...thank God that was cancelled. What she did and said about Clay, reinforced my dis-like of her, I will never watch R&K again, and hope Clay doesn't come back on that show, he deserves much better than this. It only goes to show, by Clay apologizing to her and sending her flowers, like it said on the Insider, what class he has, that was a lot more then I would've done. She wouldn't have gotten an apology or flowers from me. In fact if I had been the co-host I would've told her to stop interrupting me right then and there, or walked off stage. Yes, I do have a big mouth sometimes!  :lmao In my opinion Clay did nothing wrong, it was a joke, and she needs to get over herself. I'm glad that Regis sort of sided with Clay, and even said on Jimmy Kimmel, that Clay was just nervous and that it was no big deal. I knew there was a reason I liked him!  :bigsmile But Rosie, I don't know what to think about her, I didn't take Kelly's comment, as rude as it was, the way Rosie did, and even though she kind of stuck up for Clay, she did it in a very poor way, she basically said if Clay wasn't "gay" and "ugly" Kelly wouldn't have had a problem with him, which is such a slight to all of us, who know he's neither, and a slight to Clay himself.  :censor Rosie always seems to put her own, "everyone's gay" or "against gays" spin on things, and after what she made Clay out to be, I'll no longer watch the View either. Someone actually had the nerve to come up to me and say, "aren't you shocked that Clay's gay, Rosie outed him", I couldn't believe it!  :cuss I had to remind this person yet again, that Clay has said he's not gay, and did they really think the one person he'd "come out" too, out of every foolish person who's asked him about it, would be Rosie O'Donnell? Ridiculous! I just hope this all blows over, and if anything, stirs up some more interest in his album. Oh and he was "hostel" to Kelly? Yeah right, then how come no one else, Tyra, Kimmel, Diane Swayer, etc. have had a problem with him? Seems like she didn't like being upstaged to me. If Clay gets his own show, it will be better then R&K and The View combined.  :clayfan And good for him at the AMA's, that skit was great!

 
 Okay one of my posts was deleted because I asked what you guys had against gay people. Well now heres another post by someone else that  mentions stuff about gays.  

So why has this post also not been deleted? That doesn't seem very fair that  this person can post something that mentions gays. But when I do it my post gets deleted.  :naughty

I'm addressing this in public so everyone will know a few things about this forum.

One, using the terminology GAY or LESBIAN is not forbidden on this forum. That would be ridiculous. Mentioning gays or lesbians is fine, posting links to gay and lesbian centric websites is fine, as long as it's on topic and in the right forum. 

However, posting links to any sites that are not respectful of Clay or which include adult content is not allowed, regardless of the subject matter.  All adult content should be posted in the forums designated for such.

Also, discussions are expected to remain on topic whenever possible, and veering off from Clay's appearance on Regis & Kelly, including Rosie O's comments, into baiting questions such as Bam'sGirl's "what we have against gay and lesbian people" is not going to fly, because this is not a forum for discussion of cultural and societal issues, it's a forum for fans to discuss Clay. 

Officially and for the record, Claymaniacs.com has nothing at all against gay and lesbian people. So there's your answer.  Now move on.

There are plenty of places on the Internet to discuss gay and lesbian issues Bam'sGirl; I would be happy to recommend one for anyone who is interested.

And finally, don't post here if you don't know or understand the culture of this forum. We don't bash or trash, we don't question Clay's self identity, we don't bait other members, we don't worship Clay, but neither do we disrespect him in any way.  If you want to do those things, I'd be happy to recommend a site you might be happier with.

And please - leave the moderating to the moderators.

Hello everyone,  :wave I'd like to thank Pamela and all the moderators too for all they do to make this such a special place.  :hugg And I just want everyone to know I would never say anything here with the intension of offending or making anyone upset. I was just addressing Rosie's comments, and how upset I was by another persons comments to me regarding Clay, I hope I stayed on topic, since those things were said as a result of Clay's appearance on R&K. I only felt that Clay was treated un-fairly, which made me upset, and I'm just glad it seems to be passing.  :bigsmile :clayfan
