Essex Junction VT, Champlain Valley Exposition, MON 8/29 - This venue has the world's most eye-strain-inducing seating chart. If we could actually read it, we'd have a better idea of sales. Clay's sales started off ahead of Alan Jackson's sales, but Clay has been selling, literally, no tickets that we can see most of the last few weeks and is tracking well behind Jackson now. Unless there is a boost in sales from fair publicity and a good number of day-of sales, this show is likely to be one of Clay's lowest numbers for the JBT.

Estimated capacity: 10,800
Estimated tickets sold: 3,000-3,250
Projected ticket sales: 3,250-4,000

In my Indy pictures it is very short because he had just gotten it cut the day before.  Personally, I think it looks good short for this type of concert.  It goes well with everything he is doing with all the decades.  I like his hair both long and short, so I guess I'm not that good a judge. 

As for the color, it's gotten darker as the tour has progressed.  He got all the highlights cut off as the tour has gone on.  If you look at my GMA pictures and compare them to ones now you can see how much darker his hair is.

Personally, I like it, but that's just me!   :wink

Think positive. He's touring for 2 months so ofcourse I bet he'll be including CT. Hoping to hear for Baltimore soon. CAn't wait til Christmas now.  :bouncy

It was such a treat meeting fellow Claymaniacs at the preparty.  :smile  I even managed to take my flower all the way to Southern California.

What an amazing afternoon and evening in Merrilville (sp?)...I just loved the open, farm country there and all the Clay fans I met were just terrific!

Johanna- I haven't been to many preparties and this was my 2nd one for this year. Had so much fun with a great group of people. I saved the rose too. Also liked the town. THe Merrillville concert was my favorite.

I hope to have my photographs developed and scanned in to the get together thread in time for the montage deadline.  Speaking of photographs, Clandy sure takes great ones...and Taspio (sp?)...is she a professional?  Hers are better than the photos in Clay's tour book, I think.

I'll write my impressions up from my time at the Star Plaza in a few more days.  I'd like to say here, that I adored how Clay speaks with us now.  It feels like he thinks of us as family...safe enough to joke around...share the love!  Just my personal fantasy, I'd like to think he was grinning straight at me...ha, ha!....because I sure was broadly smiling right back at 'em! :shappy

I am amazed at Quiana's ability to sing IWAL with credibility...it has to be one of the most difficult songs ever...and such a signature song by Whitney.  For me, my fav actually is the one she sang during the Joyful Noise tour...the great acoustics at the Pasadena Civic may have swayed me on that one...or because I personally felt so very joyful last December.  :smile

Lucky people who get to go to the Borgata shows.   Mr. D was willing to fly out with me if we could get tickets, but unfortunately I'll be sitting in the hospital with my mother after her knee surgery... :bang :bang

Thank you, Thea!  I felt the glow from Tuesday during my trip home.  And...the preparty you and other Claymaniac friends organized was such fun!  I loved meeting you and I appreciate your interest in my posts.  I'm going to try and get on the board whenever one else is here...and not so late at night, even for West Coasters.
