Had to tell Shirley how happy I am for her - six years!!!!! Wow, that is a long, long time. I so glad you will have him to hold onto for 10 days at least. How happy you must be and I am so happy for you!    That should make you  feel a lot better!!!!!!!!

Shar, sorry you had such a bad day - me, too - I have had two whole jobs all day - not even 100 lines. Sometimes it sucks to work for yourself, doesn't it! Next time. I'm glad that at least you didn't have to drive a long way to have a bad day.

Kim, glad you didn't take revenge on the ducks for the poop - your neighbors might have you committed and we don't want to lose you. I don't know if we have that much bail money.

Karen, don't know how you can know the names of the contestants yet - I can remember only some descriptions and stories that stood out. Felt bad for a couple of them but realistically they weren't going to go far anyway.

Am now on steroids anyway - only for three days - and I'm glad because I really need them. My pulmonologist says they should be out of my system by the time of my surgery so that's okay.

Karen, don't know how you can know the names of the contestants yet - I can remember only some descriptions and stories that stood out. Felt bad for a couple of them but realistically they weren't going to go far anyway.

Brenda, I had a list with notes I wrote beside people who I was interested in following from the auditons.  Yeah, I really DO get into the show!!

Some GREAT girls this year!  Katie Stevens, Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benani, Janell Wheeler, Lilly Scott to name a few.  Of the boys, I like Casey James and Andrew Garcia so far.

Kim, love to hear the "daily duck doings," or maybe it should be the "daily duck doodoos."

Evelyn, I know you are getting bored being snowbound!  Wish there was a cookie catering job coming up so that you could be baking!!

Karen - Honey, I am baking. I have desserts for 200 people to make before next Friday. So I have been making and freezing them this last week. Thankfully I had all the ingredients I needed for everything.

Wasn't that great how the other contestants were helping her with background vocals during "Natural Woman?"

  it sure is pretty out if you can stay in and look out at the glorious sun and blue sky and pure white snow.  Hubby had to go to the store and he brought me a beautiful Cyclemen plant, chocolate covered cherries from our local chocolate shop, two beautiful peaches, ( I mentioned about how I would love a fresh peach this morning with my cereal), plus my favorite a jar of Sanders Milk Chocolate hot fudge for ice cream.  A pretty nice Valentines gift I would say . 

Now for some wonderful news!!!*********  My son in Arizona is coming home for ten days to see his mama!!!!!  Last night I was thinking of him as I was supposed to be sleeping and started crying as I was thinking of him leaving already and he hasn't even got here yet.     I tried to get him to wait till spring but he said he needed to come home now.  Hopefully things will get some better this spring so he can try and start his Air Conditioning/Heating business again.  Mark is so special to me, one of the nicest kindest human beings I have ever met, and that is not because he is my son.  My dear daughter in law is more than special to me.  She is ill and will not be able to make the trip.  A good friend will be staying with her and their two West Highland terriers to keep her company and to take her to the doctors when she needs to go.  Mark will be coming next Tuesday.  It is killing me as I can not be cooking or baking for him like I always did.  It has been six long years since we have seen Mark.  My son Donnie who lives here is going to drive to Detroit to pick Mark up that will be almost a four hour drive one way I just hope the weather cooperates while he is here. 

Shirley - I didn't know what a Cyclamen plant was so I had to look it up.
