Kimmy an imbalance of sodium, calcium or glucose could cause slurring of speech too, a blood test could put your mind at ease. B. had that happen if I remember.

Kimmy, Woody had an unexplained fall before he had his stroke.  In hindsight I believe it was a TIA

Ooooh...mini-stroke. Yeah...she was very dehydrated too- REALLY dry mouth (kept stickin her fingers in her water cup and runnin the water around her lips...)...
She has nitroglycerin pills. Her heart's been funky for awhile now. And she's had vertigo for years-she's been fallin for the last probably 20 years. Now this kidney thing, loss of blood....
Ahhhh...there's no way she's gonna go in and let them run tests. She can't even get in & out the car now....so they'd have to come get her in an ambulance. And she's too afraid someone will "see" her being wheeled out.

Poor Granny...she's got so much wrong at this point that she doesn't really care to bother tryin to fix nuttin.  sad

Kimmy, he was going out to bring the recycle box back to the house on garbage day.  Said it was icy, fell smashed his glasses, cut his nose and forehead.  There was no ice, it was early March so it was possible, but we didn't see any.  He had the stroke the next day Cry!
Sorry Granny has so many things going on Huggles the poor little duck, 95 how wonderful to live to be 95 just like Barbara's Mom Huggles

Morning ladies,

Shar, I  missed the funeral home link - do you remember which page it was on?

Kim,  Huggles to you and your grandma. Sounds like she really needs to get to the hospital; sounds like she may even be in kidney failure. Maybe she has just decided now is the time to make her transition and is okay with it. In any case, will keep you in my thoughts and am sending many  Huggles.

Karen and Evelyn, are you completely snowed in? It looks like it is really over here - no more snow falling. We only ended up with a couple of inches, thank goodness (that's more than I can stand). I was worried because Julie and Emily have to make the trip (are on their way now) to Napolean for the swim meet. I had to stay behind today and get Caity to her acting class and tryouts for the spring play. Dang, and Emily was swimming a lot of events this morning. By the time acting class and tryouts are over she will probably be on her way back to Toledo so I am just missing the whole thing. She was swimming a 500 meter freestyle too - that's really long.

Gotta get myself into the shower and get out of here. Chris has the garage loaded with all his stuff from the apartment in Philly and my car can't get in it anymore. That means I have to dig it out before I can leave. Last week I had to throw hot water on my wipers to get them unfrozen.  God, I do so hate winter and I do so want my garage back.

Morning everyone.     Huggles

Thanks for the coffee.  It's cold here this morning and coffee hits the spot.

Brenda - I think that the wedding picture is in the funeral home's link.

Kim - How is granny this morning?

Working on tax stuff again today.  Have to run.

Peggy...you are a smart cookie. You're idea to make 2 separate candles...now I see what you meant.  hypnotic

Shar....WOW. A fall one day and then the next the stroke? I bet you are right...it probably was TIA. It's hard to determine that though isn't it...since the symptoms are generally mild and disappear quickly.
Hey! Just thought of somethin Shar. You always call Woody your little duck...and I luuuvv Woody! :heartburst So that's one duck I DO like! See!??

He's the ONLY duck I like. Laughing

Hmm....I missed that, too.  Anybody have the link?

G'morning, all.  For once, we were the lucky ones...NO SNOW!  How the heck did THAT happen?  Laughing

Kim.... Huggles   I hope your granny is comfortable anyway.  I agree she should probably see a doctor, but at her age, SHE is the boss.  Whatever she wants is what she should have!

Got my hair cut yesterday and I LIKE it!  Whoa!  That's a rarity, believe me.  I used to go to this gal YEARS ago and decided I'd give her a try again.  She works in the same salon as the last gal who cut my hair WAY too short and I blew a gasket on her.  Laughing   So, I think she knew she'd better follow the pictutres this time.  Sometimes, intimidation works.  Laughing

Anyway...hope everyone is having a great day!

Mar and B. sent you the link by pm to the funeral home, didn't want to be so bold as to post it here.  Barbara may like that private.

KIM, have been thinking of your grandma today.  I think I know how she feels, bless her heart she just doesn't want all these tests that usually don't show much anyway.  I know my husband discussed this with my doctors how these xrays show locations but don't show what it is!!!!!   Huggles give this to your grandma for me!!!  Hope Betty is all over her cold!

SHARON, can't tell you how proud I am of you and your cookiing skills.  Hope you are going to add some cabbage to cook with your other veggies!  If I lived near by I would have to make you a big skillet of crispy corn bread to go with that dinner.

PEGGY, I love it that you are enjoying your time off work with your crafts and puzzles. Sure wished I lived near by so I could come and visit and just watch you do crafts.

EVELYN, hope  you aren't getting out in this snow you got.  I remember when you worked at the Transportation Department and you would have to be called into work on the worst snow nights.  Sure was glad when you retired from there.

MARILYN, sure am glad to see you!  So happy you got a great hair cut.  Gads that only happens maybe three times in a lifetime.  Clapping  Glad you didn't get any snow.  We got about 2 inches of blowing snowl.
