SHARON  . . . Maybe it would MORE interesting if they did NOT get along! Smile

I think Simon is such a huge part of the show.  Wonder how it will be next year without him. Paranoid  Anxious to see what Ellen brings to the show and how she will interact with the contestants!

After Sharon got home from a good sales day  Clapping

and Karen and her boys finishing the snow shoveling   Clapping

I spent 50 minutes responding to each of you individually along with other things   Clapping

and then my "borrowed" wireless signal died and the post went "poof"

Dad was sleeping, Jim was on the highway trying to get here while he could, and the crockpot was preparing dinner so I had some free time.  Not even going to try again. However, please know that it was witty, caring, supportive and loving for all of you.

In the doctor's office today, they were playing 50's music. Really!  Got a feeling Clay will be singing "Because of You". It would fit his range and his current relationship. For you youngsters..........

Because of you there's a song in my heart
Because of you our romance got its start
Because of you the sun will shine
The moon and stars will say you're mine
Forever and never to part

Good Morning Family!!!

Well we did get snow last night.  Pretty and white and trying to tell hubby I don't need to be out in it and shouldn't be going to the doctors office today.  He isn't buying it though!  BECKY, so glad your dad is home and I bet he was relaxed and had a good sleep.  I was thinking of you and how you were so embarrassed to talk about the surgery you had, heavens every time I go to the hospital I find out more and more what is wrong with  me and can't believe it.  I am just disgusted with all these tests and xrays and what they  show and don't show.

SHARON, don't expect much news today other than the blood count.  Want the doc to put me back on the other blood pressure pills I was on as these new ones are not working.  Plus want to know why it wasn't discovered before that my small intestines are herniated and dropped almost out of my body, thought that was just my bladder.  No wonder  so much pain in my groin area that my doctor said was arthritis or crystals from  high uric acid.  So many darn things wrong with me I am losing track.

I will see everyone when I get home.

Shirley, you give that doctor a good what for!!! With all the tests you have been through they should know how every nook and cranny in your body is doing.
I went to my back doctor and we are scheduling my neck surgery first. I should be getting a call soon on the date. We are doing the neck first for a couple of reasons. One being the surgery is easier with a shorter recovery. They doctor is worried about my heart. Also I want to be able to enjoy Alaska and I wouldn't if I had the lumbar spine done.
I have an appointment with the hand surgeon this afternoon and am going to try to get that surgery scheduled real soon, like maybe next week. That is a very simple surgery, carpal tunnel, I had the right hand done before and went to work the next day, was able to give shots and do x rays and everything. I am sick with an upper respiratory infection and feel like my head is going to explode, have a sore throat, and stuffy, yet runny nose! I am not contagious though .
Chase is doing great. He had his IV"s removed today. All he has is the oxygen and a feeding tube. They said they will try bottle feeding him little by little starting next week. He was to weak to suck yet. He is starting to make the motions now. He is truly a miracle. Seeing him and Joey sure makes a believer out of me.
Gina and Adam are fine. They are just worried about normal things, like money and how they are going to get everything they need for a baby before they get to bring him home. We are having a small shower for her at my daughter's house and I have bought quite a few things already. Every time I go out I get a bag full of stuff. I just haven't bought any big items yet because I do not know what she wants yet. She is registered at 2 places but I haven't looked.  Right now all she will need is the car seat and baby carrier. As long as she has clothes, diapers, onesies, bottles and blankets, she will get by. Between her parents, us and Adam's mom and her boyfriend I am sure they will have whatever they need.
Brandon is doing good, knock on wood! He is getting therapy and went to his first NA meeting last night. They are still messing with him real bad though. His pay wasn't in his account again and his military lawyer was furious about that. She said they have no right to do this to him. He has his regular bills to pay. They are looking into who is at fault. But the main thing is he is clean and sober, getting the help he so badly needs, he is no longer talking suicide, seems to have a little "hope" and might be able to finish out his commitment. He has 1 1/2 years left. he wants out because of the way they are treating him, but we are working on that. Maybe he can get a transfer to another base. They treat him like a traitor, and they keep telling him he is a disgrace. Maybe on another base he can start new. There sure isn't anything for him to come here too. No jobs and a lot of bad influences. Plus he still has California courts to deal with. Who knows what the will sentence him to.
I am glad that I do not have to make any decisions about Raleigh in March. To go or not to go. I will not be able to go and that is that. Clapping lmao
Now that I have written a novel here, I think I will go jump in the shower and start getting ready for the doctor. Paul is driving me! I'll tell you, we should have gotten engaged 20 years ago. The change in him is amazing!!! Purple Banana doh doh doh doh Purple Banana

The Eyes have it!

« Reply #1095 on: February 10, 2010, 07:26:24 AM »

Good morning all of you snow bunnies (and lucky ones who are sun bunnies, or just regular bunnies),

We are pretty well snowed in here. Roads are terrible, wind is growing stronger and more snow is on the way. Have already paid to have my driveway shoveled once and will have to definitley do it at least one more time. Guess it's really pretty tame here compared to poor Evelyn (and probably Barb - did this one miss you, Barb?). We only have 8-11 inches but four more expected today. This has really been the only big snowfall in Toledo this winter so I'm not complaining (well, maybe a little). The girls are still off school, of course, and probably will be again tomorrow, they say. At least they're happy.

Shirley, hoping you get some better news this morning. Please stop being so stubborn about having necessary treatments and surgery. I know they are doing my surgery primarily for the polyp but I am really more concerned with getting all these hernias fixed as they do bother me and look horrible. Mine are the result of my prior surgery but they are placing mesh in there now so that should fix the problem this time. I really don't WANT to have surgery either but it is necessary so am trying to keep a good attitude about it  - wish you would too. It is really only a few days of being in the hospital but can save a lot more pain and problems in the long run and probably improve the quality of your life. You need to be an active, willing participant in your health care - please! Okay, done lecturing - just saying - just caring.

Sharon, glad this storm is missing you - not much of the bad weather does. Good sales - good for you. I agree, just can't work up the excitement that a performance from Clay used to dredge up in me. Kind of sad - I miss it. My favorite star to watch now is Ellen and I just LOVE her - am so happy she is on AI and I thought she was (for the short time she was on) just super. She provides huge belly laughs for me every day and she is just a terrific person on top of it all. I also thought her critiques were insightful and show she is well qualified to be a judge. PS: I don't think Kara COULD overpower her. This lady knows how to handle herself and is afraid of nothing.

I did feel bad for the poor country girl - I know she blew it, but she and her situation just melted my heart and I so wanted her to succeed. Hope someone in Nashville was watching and will help her out.

Mary, see you were posting at the same time. Surgery schedule sounds good - so happy things are finally going to get done and your Alaskan adventure can proceed. Also happy to hear about Gina and the baby - miracles do happen. With Brandon too, obviously, and for that I am really happy. I know how worried you were!  Good luck at the doctor's office today.  Huggles

Becky, I'm so sorry to hear your dad is so bad. These past few months have been so difficult for you. Please think of yourself and Jim in the equation before making any decisions, but I'm sure you will do what is best. He is so lucky to have you - I hope he appreciates you as much as you deserve to be appreciated.  Huggles

Karen, are you snowed in again this morning? This winter is a real pain in the a__ for a lot of you guys. Glad your sons are helping you dig out.

Kim, awwww, you poor thing. How cold is it - 60's?  lmao Laughing Poor birds - you should be bringin em in in this weather. I know you are worried about them getting too cold. Laughing Laughing

Barb,  Huggles Huggles Huggles Hope your life gets back to normal soon.

Gotta go check work availability - haven't done that yet and the day is almost half over already.  Spank me!

Stay warm!

Me too, Sharon.   Gotta keep our "home" safe!

No school again today. Clapping  My son is so happy!  Even if he has to shovel snow, he'd rather be home.

Brenda, I was so hoping the Tennessee gal would do well, too.  I think nerves got hold of her more so than at the audition.  I had tears in my eyes again when they were giving her background, and her mom was talking about her.  Crap.

I'm really liking the blond guy with long hair who plays guitar and sings.  He's a cutie, seems comfortable on stage, and has a great voice IMO!  It worries me that they make it look like he's going home tonight.  What could've gone wrong?  Or are they just tricking us?

Ellen did a great job.  Serious about it; yet still having a bit of fun.

Mary, glad to hear all your news is pretty positive.  Hope the baby continues to improve, and Brandon, too.   Huggles  Good luck on your neck surgery.  What are they gonna fix?

Brenda, I'm "bad" too.  Every day this week so far, I've had plans to start early on getting my tax stuff together and organized for the accountants.  Here it is, 11am, and nothing done.     Off I go to get started on something.   wave
