Good Morning - a quick post sinc Lewis is on the computer. He left the computer so I could check the OFC for Betty. I saw the Blog about hotels - was there another one?
Pepe - I think Shirl is waiting for word of a summer tour - last time she mentioned it, she does not plan to try for Raleigh this time for "Whatever".
Betty - Thank you for sending the newspaper
I am thinking about making a small scrapbook for Lewis - there is so much information coming. I just hope I can get a Sports Illustrated with Drew and the baby on the front (it was shown on Letterman last night). We finally found the SI from last week with Drew on the front - looked everywhere for it!
Lewis has not come down yet - just got an email fro Diane. She went to the airport with 10,000 other people yesterday to see the team home, and she is going to the team parade this afternoon.
I'll be back later when I have more time to talk......................

Hello Again!
After letting Sammy out at 3:00, I was able to go back to sleep until 6:00. Then the rush was on, coffee, paper, shower and trip to the gym. I got there about 40 minutes early(on purpose) and did 20 minutes of biking before the 30 minute training session.
My regular trainer is back!!!!!!
I was able to schedule my last two times for Feb. with her for next week. I liked my sub trainer but she said not to worry, she doesn't take clients away from the regular one. She, the sub, is also popular at the gym, so I don't feel bad to go back to Erin.
Frankie----Our weight management class has a new 4 week module that started today. They want us to set a goal of 3,000 calorie burn each week for the next four. I don't see that as a problem because I was higher then that before the "foot" thing. I've worked my way back to close to 2,900 this past week, so I'm pushing hard this week. The only bad thing it ends the Monday after surgery. Since my surgery is on a Friday, I'm going to try to get that last week's burn of 3,000 on Mon-Thursday because I know I won't exercise that weekend.
Today's goal from class is to try to do at least 2 extra bouts of 10 minutes or more above our regular exercise plan. Did it! I did a 20 min bike at Level 2, went 4 miles and then the 30 minute workout. Now, I end up either doing 45 minutes of walking or 30 minutes on the stair stepper. The stepper counts more calories then walking.
Pepe---Thank you for your care. I'm very cautious when I go outside in the dark with Sammy. I never let him out at night by himself either, I go with him. Our friend has a son who is a US Marshall and he even suggested that I take my hand gun with me after dark. I don't do that, but if we do get more robberies, I might. Our neighbor was attacked in broad day light on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. Yes, the "lady"Ha! that attacked her got a 20 year prison sentence. She had been in and out of prison since 1980! Our neighbor's son is a lawyer and he intends to go to any future parole hearings she may have to keep her in prison.

Lunch time check in! The boys and I just got back from the post office and Walgreens. I got a birthday card for Cameron - his birthday is next Monday, and I know we will be celebrating sometime this weekend (when will be decided upon if we get SNOW Thursday and Friday or not
!!!!)
JoAnn - the exercise sounds good
I don't have anything to tell me calories burned, so I just time exercise. I figure one hour per day is a good amount for me right now.
Glory - I did go back and I read the second Blog from Clay - still no announcement the last time I checked.
Have a good afternoon, everybody - see you later..................

HI GALS
IN CASE ANYONE WAS WONDERING WHERE I HAVE BEEN HIDING?????
IT HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS NOW THAT I HAVE HAD THIS NIGHTMARE ABOUT MY DRIVERS LICENSCE, WITH STILL NO HOPE IN SIGHT (WELL MAYBE A LITTLE)
I HAVE SPENT MOST OF MY DAYS BETWEEN THE TAX COLLECTORS BUILDING (DMV) AND THE SOCIAL SECURITY BUILDING.
TODAY I SPENT 3 HOURS SITTING AT THE SS BUILDING.WAITING MY TURN. IT IS REALLY TAKING ITS TOLL ON ME.
HAD TO GO TO THE DR. THIS MORNING AND HE SAID I LOOKED TERRIBLE.
TOO STRESSED OUT.
THIS ALL , I FINALLY FOUND OUT (BOY ARE THEY NUMB IN THIS BUREAUCACY) THAT IT ALL HAD TO DO WITH MY CHANGING MY NAME.
MY NAME IS LEGALLY JEANNE LOIS CHASE. HOWEVER I ENTERED SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE , NORMAN, INSTEAD OF LOIS. AS I WANTED TO HONOR MY SWEET DAD.
HE WAS JUST SO PROUD OF ME.
ANYWAY THAT IS WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT AND THEY CANNOT SEEM TO GET THEIR DUCKS IN A ROW.
BUT TODAY I WAS GIVEN IN INROAD, A TEMPORARY DRIVERS LICENSE GOOD UNTIL MARCH 11.
HOPEFULLY BY THEN IT WILL BE CLEARED.
WHEN IT IS YOU WILL HEAR A GREAT BIG WHOOP AND HOLLAR FROM ME.
I KNOW I COULD HAVE HIRED A LAWYER, BUT RIGHT NOW I CANNOT AFFORD ONE.
HAVE NOT DONE ONE LICK OF ART WORK AND IT IS KILLING ME.
SO MUCH FOR MY STUPID PROBLEM.
PLUS THE DENTIST TOMORROW.
AND AS YOU KNOW I AM TERRIFIED OF DENTISTS.
DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A CAVE I CAN BORROW AND STAY IN FOR THE DURATION.
OF COURSE ANY TOUR TO SEE CLAY IS OUT AS I DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER IDENTIFICATION TO EVEN GET ON A PLANE NOW.
MY TEMPORARY LICENCE IS NOT GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT DRIVING.
NOW YOU HAVE READ MY BORING POST,
I HOPE THE SNOW HAS NOT GOTTEN YOU IN ANY TROUBLE.
NEVER HAVING BEEN IN SNOW. I CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT IT IS LIKE.
BUT THE PICTURES ON THE NEWS LOOK PRETTY BAD.
FRANKIE
SO HAPPY THE SAINTS WON, THEY SURE DESERVED A BREAK FOR A CHANGE.
LA . HAS BEEN THROUGH SOOOO MUCH, I HOPE THIS LIFTED THEIR SPIRITS.
I SENT A PAPER FROM SARASOTA FOR LEWIS. IT HAS A GREAT PICTURE OF THE TWO QUARTERBACKS BEFORE THE GAME.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU GET THEM. IT IS STRANGE HOW YOU CAN BECOME A FAN AND EVEN WHEN THEY ARE LOSERS YOU ARE FAITHFUL.
THAT IS HOW I FEEL ABOUT MY BELOVED DOLPHINS. AND THEY HAVE BEEN LOSERS FOR QUITE A LONG TIME.
WOULD LOVE TO STAY HERE AND RAMBLE ON BUT IT IS MY GOING HOME TIME AND HAVE TO FEED MY kitty CATS.
FRANKIE
TOMORROW, IF I DO NOT GET A CALL FROM THE SS OR TAX COLL. AND AFTER THE DENTIST , I AM GOING TO TRY ONCE AGAIN TO POST A PICTURE. AND I KNOW THAT
PRISSY
POSTED IN DETAIL HOW TO USE THE PHOTOBUCKET BUT I CANNOT FIND THE POST, SOOOO COULD SOMEONE POST THAT FOR ME AGAIN.
LIKE I WAS AN IDIOT AND HAD TO FOLLOW STEP ONE, TWO, ETC.???????
OFF I GO.
MISS YOU ALL
LOVE
JEANNE AKA JAN
PS.
THEA
I JUST HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO TRY AND FIX MY JUMPING PUTER YET, BUT WILL AS SOON AS I GO ON LINE AT HOME WHERE I HAVE THE LAPTOP. THANKS

Frankie---Your exercise routine sounds great and hey, since it's working for you, that is a double great.
My neighbor, Flora called at 2:15 and asked if I wanted to take a walk around the neighborhood. I beat her out into the front yard!
We walked for 45 minutes in the "hills" of our neighborhood. So now, any more exercising I do today, will be "free" extras. I'm going to "try" to get 12 more minutes on the stair stepper to finish out my "original" goal of 15 minutes on it today. So far today, I've burned 86 calories and with the total 15 minute stepper, it will end with a total of 1, 045! Add that to Monday's "small" total of 300 and I've already burned 1,045 of my weekly goal of 3,000! I'm going for the gold this week!
Mom and I just returned from picking out new carpet for her bathroom. Half of the room is carpet, just a tad different from the rest. It covers an area around the bath and camode. The original house tile is underneath that carpet. There is no way we could restore that tile and putting in new tile is too expensive, so for the last several years, they have put in carpet on that area too.
The carpet there now isn't even 3 years old BUT Mr. Sammy decided to use two spots of it as a teething ring as a puppy.
They said that it will mostly likely be put in early next week.
We're still him and hawing over kitchen counter top replacement. I did find some laminate that looks a lot like granite but I feel that the price was too high, almost as much as real granite. We're going to sit back and think about for awhile longer, not in any hurry.

CNN is broadcasting the Saints' parade in New Orlenas live, in case anyone is interested - I'm taping it for Lewis, who is still at work.
Jeanne -
that there is hope!!! I know this has been an ordeal for you. Hope you have a good dentist visit, too. Thank you for sending the newspaper - I will let you know when it gets here!
JoAnn - I plan to walk all during The Biggest Loser tonight - I find that the time flys when there is something interesting on. I am still taping AI, but I have never watched this season at all - I think I get more out of The Biggest Loser! I have been reading my Good Housekeeping magazine. The Biggest Loser winner from last year is on the cover - I am going to copy the article for you. She has good tips on keeping weight off once it is lost.
Pepe - I am cooking salmon and green beans for me for supper (Lewis still has lots of leftovers from the weekend, so he has a choice of what to have for supper)
I assume there is still no word from Clay - I will keep checking the OFC, though.

Good Afternoon/Evening!!
After I got up (late), I worked on bowings for the orchestra music and then made a list of what I needed from the grocery store and for the Pond Meeting, Thursday evening. Skip said he wanted to go with me, so we went to Walgreen's, Home Depot, and then Kroger. I shopped my lists and got everything I needed. Love the sales at Kroger!!
This evening, I may watch AI for the first time in a few years to see Ellen; also want to watch LOST and TiVo ALL MY CHILDREN. So, I will have the VCR and TiVo's busy at 7 pm. Skip is planning to go to his computer meeting in Fort Worth, so I will have "control" of the big TV in the den!!
Jan,
Did you see my post about getting a "watchdog" type news person involved with your driver's license dilemma? A newspaper columnist or someone on a local TV station. I need to make an appointment with the oral surgeon to have a tooth removed. "Twilight sleep" and you don't know what's going on, but it's expensive!!
Frankie,
A scrapbook for Lewis chronicling the Saints journey and win sounds like a great idea!
Pepe,
We still have all of the Super Bowl commercials, as well as the Super Bowl, saved on the TiVo. When we start missing football, we can watch the game again!! I hope you had a good day.
JoAnn,
I thought you no longer had a gun!!
Did you see Lolita's post about wasp spray? I think that is a good idea to carry with you when you take Sammy out in the front yard in the morning when it's still dark, and when you and your neighbor are walking the streets around your houses.
Snow is still in our forecast for Thursday. I will go ahead and prepare for the Whitlock Club and Pond Club in case we still have these meetings. It's hard to cancel anything until we start actually experiencing the weather predicted. We all know that the weatherman does not always make the right call!!
Hello to all checking in and/or reading and I hope you have a great evening!

Prissy - we (at least Shreveport) is supposed to get snow Thursday night into Friday. I hope to make a SAMS run early Thursday morning, and to get home before the weather begins to be bad. I hope snow does not change our plans for Cameron's birthday. We are giving him money (he is going to be 14), but I would like to find a Saints Championship shirt to wrap up for him. There is not one Saints shirt left in our town. Also, I want to go to Books A Million to see if I can get that Sports Illustrated Magazine. (Would like to get one for Lewis and one for Cameron). If I can't find one in the state of Louisiana, our relatives in Memphis are on alert to by them for us!
Jayne - it was a good game - we watched the whole 2 hour parade tonight. As they said, Mardi Gras is going to really be something special this year in New Orleans - there is a whole week left to celebrate before Ash Wednesday.
JoAnn- I did a little weight work tonight - my arms will feel that tomorrow!
I just did the final check of the night at the OFC - still no news.
Good Night, OCD - sweet dreams!

GLORY, I posted yesterday morning, I am here. I try and post everyday even when I don't have much to say just to let you know I am okay . Hate to hear you are not feeling that good today .
I have to head towards the bathroom to brush my teeth and start getting myself dressed as I have a doctors appointment this morning. I can't believe how long it takes me to get myself cleaned up and dressed while sitting down and sucking on oxygen every minute. We got lots of snow last night and I don't want to go to the doctors this morning I am trying to get out of it but hubby says no you have to go. Just a after hospital check up and check the hemoglobin. See everyone later.

Good Morning!
Wednesday and once a week pill; sitting upright for a half hour! I have the weather channel on while I am here at the computer. It looks like a wintry blast is still happening in the northeast. I am waiting for our local weather to come on. Thursday is supposed to be our snow/sleet day and the day I have both the Whitlock Club in the morning and the Pond Club in the evening. Friday morning could be icy, too, so that could affect the Meals on Wheels Deliveries.
Soul Food supper this evening. I won a free meal. If you bring a pantry item for the needy, your name goes into a basket for a drawing for a free Soul Food meal!
I just saw the weather. The wintry mix should begin this evening, but it will be a low of 34 and tomorrow a high of 37, so.........maybe not cold enough for freezing and ice on the streets???
I did watch my three shows last evening! I saw ALL MY CHILDREN at 7, taped AI with Ellen to watch later, and a new episode of LOST came on at 8! Ellen looks like she will be a good judge. She was honest but kind, and did bring her humor to the show!
Sharon,
Thanks for the hot chocolate and chocolate donuts! Always hits the spot!
Glory,
I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well this morning. I hope you feel better as the day goes on or that you can call or see your doctor.
Pepe,
I am going to make Valentine cupcakes for my cupcake tree today to take to the Pond Club tomorrow. I signed up for refreshments. I have Valentine cupcake paper liners and bought some Valentine candy to sit on each cupcake. I will also take chips and dip and some of my Valentine decorations. If weather forces the cancellation of the Pond Club, I will try to refrigerate or freeze the cupcakes and take them to our Sunday School Brunch on Valentine's Day!
I hope you have a super day!!
EDIT: Pepe, just saw your post! Good luck at the doctor's and be careful driving in the snow.
Frankie,
I did minimal decorating for Valentine's Day. Most of my decorations I'm using for out of the house decorating; the JOY luncheon and the Pond Club tomorrow.
Hello to all checking in and/or reading and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning Everyone,
Like Prissy just said, it's cold here today and colder weather expected tomorrow. I'm going to go to the store sometime today to make sure we have enough essentials in stock. Wish it could be chocolates!
Frankie--Just saw that you worked with weights. Let me know how your arms feel today. Good luck on this morning's weigh in too!
My trainer had me working with 10LB weights for my arms on Tuesday. I only have a set of 3 LB weights at home but I can "make" 5 or 10 pound weights using things like dried bean bags of cans. She had me kneeling on a bench with left knee and left hand on the bench-10 LB weight in the right hand-bring up and down towards side 15 times, then changed sides. It's like starting a lawn mower.
Pepe-----Good luck at the doctor's visit today.
Glory---Hope you feel better.
Monica/ Lollita---Where are you two. Haven't seen you in awhile.
Jan--Hope your troubles are starting to be solved. Also, can't wait for you to get back to your art work. The world needs more beautiful work in it.
Thea---

A drive-by post - I'm about to head out to Natchitoches. Going to take Kaitlyn's Valentines present from us to son, and to buy a few groceries.
Sharon - I will take Glory's share of the donuts this morning!
Glory and Pepe - feel better soon - sorry you are getting more snow.
Prissy and JoAnn - I hope we won't get a lot of freezing rain or snow - pretty to see, but very disruptive to our lives!!!
JoAnn - I only used 3 pound weights. Lewis has a full set of weights - think I need to use 5 pounds (at least) next time.
Happy Wednesday, everyone - I have checked in at the OFC - nothing happening there. See you when I get back.........................
