I have already emailed Diane in New Orleans and told her that I know for sure she is dancing in the street somewhere  lmao I am happy for all Saints fans (especially for the ones like Lewis who have hung in there for so many years). I am watching video from New Orleans - bet this will be the best Mardi Gras ever - Fat Tuesday is not until the 16th, and I bet the party will go on non stop until then  Laughing

Sorry, Monica and all other Colts fans - they did play a good game. It was really close for a long time!

Good Night, OCD - I will see all of you tomorrow.

Good Morning Sharon---Just got up at 6:30 and I do need a good cup of coffee.  It's raining this morning and they have predicted colder weather this week.

Frankie--Mom and I watched the entire game and we helped Lewis celebrate up here.  All I could think of at first is all those thousands of people will be just down the street from us next year! doh when we saw the crowd!

Are you going to go and get Lewis a "Saint's Super Bowl " hat?  I bet they will have some out today.

I had a hard time going to sleep last night.  Was it knowing how you all were partying down there that kept me up? lmao

I KEEP CHECKING IN AT THE OFC TO SEE IF CLAY HAS COME ON YET!  HE WILL PROBABLY WAIT UNTIL I HEAD OUT TO MY WEIGHT CLASS!

ONLY 6 MORE DAYS TO VALENTINE'S  DAY!!!

Good Morning!

Lewis left the house early (the boys went, too) to see if he can get a Shreveport newspaper - I'm sure all of the stores will sell out.

JoAnn - I walked to the computer right ater the game and bought Lewis a shirt, hat, and DVD of the game from NFL.com  Laughing You will have quite an experience next year - no matter who is in the Super Bowl, I'm sure there will be hundreds of thousand fans around you. I noticed he was still wearing Saints clothes when he left  - thought that was over for the year, but I guess not.  lmao

Thanks for breakfast, Sharon, and for helping us celebrate.

Huggles Meesa - we are still waiting to hear wedding plans!

Betty - I went over to the OFC - looked at the News and at Clay's page - I didn't see any annnoucement yet. I will keep checking back. If you suddenly find out that tickets are going on sale, though, call me!

Happy Monday, everyone! We have 80% chance of rain today.

Just popping in to say congrats to all of the Saints fans! Purple Banana

Hope all of you are staying warm and snow-free. We got about 14 inches in Morgantown from the weekend storm. Now they are saying 8-12 more Tues. and Wed. eek! WVU is closed for classes and business today (no work!! bigsmile). I don't remember that happening in the 10 years I've been in town; it's probably been longer than that.

Big basketball game against Villanova will go on as planned ... if you want to watch and cheer for the 'Eers tonight. Wink

Hi OCD!  I just posted something but it went ***POOF***!

FRANKIE, hope you and Lewis have recovered from all of your post-Super Bowl celebrating.  That was one of the best games in many years.  I'm fine with the Saints having won, esp. since the former coach of the Bears Mike Ditka had a brief tenure as the New Orleans coach many years ago!!!  bigsmile

GLORY, that is scary about your getting a shock from your fuse box.  Definitely your landlord needs to take care of this ASAP.  Paranoid

Have a great day, one and all!

Linds - Lewis had already planned to watch the game tonight - I am so glad that the focus will be on college basketball now!  Purple Banana Just talked to my sister in Memphis - they have 5 inches of snow with lots more to come.

Glory - be careful! Glad you were not really hurt.

Thea - the party goes on!!!! Diane just emailed trying to get us to come to New Orleans for the team parade tomorrow. Lewis has always said he would never go to New Orleans during Mardi Gras, but he is tempted!  Paranoid

Just checked the OFC - no big announcement yet...................

Frankie---Mom wanted to tell you she is REALLY tired today.  Still in her pjs at noon BECAUSE she watched and rooted for the Saints the entire game!!!!!!!

Thea--- wave COME BACK, I MISS  YOU HERE!

Glory and Frankie---I still have the OFC line open too and I just rechecked Clay's page.  No news !!!!!I guess he had a late Super Bowl Party too! lmao

It's raining here too all day.  I didn't lose this week, I gained a little.  I "rediscovered" bread at Saturday's dinner at church.  I must REBURY THAT "DISCOVERY" once again.  I am not even that fond of bread and pasts but I WAS SATURDAY NIGHT

Frankie--Our new 4 weeks "goal" is to start getting an average of 3,000 calorie burn per week by march 8, the end of this module.  I have "almost" worked myself back up to 3,000 once again.  This week, I did 2,855.  Since my surgery is on the last Friday of the module, I'm going for 3,000 each week before I have to "slow" down again.
I'm going to consentrate on high intensity for a bigger calorie count.  I love walking but it is starting to get in the way.  I'm switching to things like my stair stepper and climbing stairs .

JOANN, you are so sweet.   Huggles  I'm here!!!   BTW good for you on getting those calories burnt!!!     I'm having a hard time getting back in the diet/exercise groove.  But happily I haven't gained back the 10 lbs I had lost, so I'm at least relieved about that.  All of this snow and cold weather has really taken its toll on my "get and go"!   Laughing

STILL NO NEWS AT THE OFC!

Thea--Good to see you here! wave   I'm also having  a hard time getting back into an exercise groove.  I KNOW what needs to be done, just can't seem to get motivated to get up and do it.   I've been finding daily excuses as to why I just don't do it too.
Like today---It's Monday, don't weigh in until next Monday! lmao  Or, I have an 8:30 Tues. morning trainer (really do to) so I'M RESTING TODAY!  lmao I have a million excuses.

I just checked at the OFC, too - and there were also 435 other people over there at the same time. I'm looking for Betty - hope to be able to help her get a ticket to "Whatever". I'm feeling a little jerked around again - come on, Clay if there is an announcement, for Heaven's sake Make It!!!  icon_rolleyes (As the old saying goes "God Please Grant Me Patience - and I want it Right Now!!!  Laughing )

JoAnn - Tell your Mom that the Super Bowl win is worth being a little tired today - I just woke up from a nap!!!  Laughing Nothing at all wrong with a day in p.js. I have been doing equal time on the rowing machine, the bike, and the treadmill. I do need to get my exercise DVDs out to see what else I can do. I've gotten the exercise up to one hour most days, but always a minimum of 30 minutes.  When I am on the treadmill I have been trying to really walk fast (since it is a manual treadmill, I can't set speed).

Who do we have (beside Lindsay) who is in the path of this snow storm???  Hope they are all safe and that their power stays on. I just saw that parts of D.C. have been without power for 3 days. (I missed the whole storm over the weekend, because there has been nothing on TV except football).

Good Afternoon!

It is a cold, rainy day again.  No big plans but orchestra practice this evening, and Skip is going to the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth late afternoon/evening.  Our Sunday School class is serving the evening meal.  I made a triple batch of the Mandarin Orange Salad, so he is taking that with him.  I would go, but I do need to go to orchestra practice....concert coming up soon!

We really enjoyed the football game and TiVo'd it, too.  We fast forwarded through some of it today to re watch a few of the commercials and some of the more exciting plays, like that interception by the Saints' No. 22 and a touch down in the last 3 and a half minutes of the game!!

I hope you all are having a good day.  Some of you are snowed in, I have read! cold  Stay safe and warm!
