JEANNE, my hair is also a blonde grey.  Hard to see the grey really.  It is just the top of my hair is really disappearing.  I wish I could get a little hair piece that just went on the top and blended with my hair.  But right now I ony seem to be going to the doctors office.  Trying to get to the point I can at least once again get to Walmarts so I can drive around the store again.  The sad part of having to obtain a lawyer to fix a problem someone else caused is the cost of a lawyer to you.  So expensive!!!!!  My son has had to use them a couple of times and was hard to believe the cost.

THEA, sure hope  your son is able to start work soon.  Have not  heard what is going on with him lately.  I feel so bad for him and your DIL.  Was hoping she would have found something by now.  I think the only work field you can get a job with now is the medical field.  Both my sons have lost their business in the past six months.

BETTY, how are your legs doing?  Hope the itching has subsided some.  I can't believe how many trips we make to the doctors and we do not improve!!

       Pepe,
I sent the catalogue this morning. They do have some hair pieces so maybe you
will find something to suit you.

Sounds like you have a good husband cleaning your kitchen. I have no idea how
the back of a stove gets so dirty but ir seems to.

My legs are much better but now I have a rash on my face. I went back to my dermatoligist
and he has given me some ointment.  My daughter thinks I have a blood disorder.

I have"nt found a newspaper yet. I called Barnes and Noble, Borders, Walmart, Walgreens
and none of them get the Miami paper.

When I get our paper tomorrow and Monday I will send you whatever is in it.

PEPE, my son did get a job a few weeks ago!!!    He is now working for a consulting firm up in Maryland that does contract work for the Department of Transportation.  It is actually a better, more suitable position for him than the firm that had kept him "dangling" since last October.  icon_rolleyes  Things are finally starting to turn around for those two "kids"!!!!!  Hopefuly DIL will be getting a good postion, as well.  In the meantime, P is enjoying coming home to a hot meal and a clean house.  Once she starts working, I doubt that will be the case!    Laughing

BTW I'm so sorry about your two sons' job situations.  Hopefully things will improve in our economy????

Hope you are coping with your diffciult health situation.     I know you have the support of both the RTM and OCD .  We are pulling for you!!!  kum-bi-ya

Oh BETTY, I think your daughter is onto something.  Have you made an appointment with a hematologist yet?  That's probably the next logical step, I would think.

Good Afternoon!

We just returned from our "running around."  We had breakfast, really brunch, out at a restaurant near us called Le Peep.   Skip had a Spanish omelet with grilled potatoes and wheat toast.  I had scrambled eggs, sausage, grilled potatoes, and two huge griddle pancakes that I brought home!!  I don't know how anyone could eat all of that at one time!   One of my sisters gives us an Entertainment Passbook every year for Christmas and I used the coupon for Le Peep, so we got one breakfast "free."   bigsmile

We went to a very nice grocery store called Market Street which is in Colleyville, just NE of Bedford, and I let them know I no longer got their ad weekly in the newspaper.  They took my address and said they would send an ad each week to us!

While in Colleyville, I found the chapel where we will play a wedding in April.  The chapel was featured in an article in the news paper today.  A wealthy man built the chapel for his daughter's wedding last year.  What is funny is that our doctor's office is in the complex where the chapel is and just across the street from it.  We have parked by the chapel several times and never even realized what it was!! shock
The whole complex of buildings and offices look like an Italian village.  Very nice!

We also went to the Apple Computer store.  Skip wanted to see if the new i pad was out, but it is not.  Just around the corner from the Apple Computer store is a Nestle's Toll House restaurant.  Again, I had a coupon from the Passbook and bought a chocolate brownie with a chocolate chip cookie on top of it and got one free!

After stops at Home Depot and Lowe's, we ended up at Costco and almost bought a big TV for the bedroom.  They were out of the one we were interested in and did not want to drive many miles to another Costco to get one.  We will just wait on that!

I never did call the hairdresser to make an appointment;  probably should make one for Monday! Don't Know

IT IS GETTING RIDICULOUS. HE TOOK DOWN ALL THE INFORMATION YESTERDAY AND GIVES IT ONE WEEK UNTIL HE WRITES THE ARTICLE.
ALL BECAUSE OF A TYPO MADE BY SOMEONE IN THE DRIVERS LICENSE BUREAU DOWN THE ROAD.

Jan,
I think this is your best bet!  To have a newspaper columnist or even someone from local TV take up your cause.  We have a "watchdog" columnist in our newspaper who takes up causes for others and there are several on the local TV stations.  The more "noise" you can make, the more likely your drivers license problem will be resolved.  Good luck!
Have fun at the opera!

Pepe,
I'm glad to hear that Don is stepping in and helping out at home.  I dropped something between the refrigerator and the counter a while back, and Skip pulled out the refrigerator!  Talk about dusty!! eek!  He vacuumed and cleaned that area for me!
Take care of yourself and I'm glad you are resting.

Thea,
I don't think I can hold out much longer with my hair.  I am so tempted to color it, but I think I will let my hairdresser start coloring for me.  I just can't get the roots that well, and maybe she can lighten my hair so that the roots don't show so much, or put highlights in my hair!

I hope everyone is having a nice afternoon.  It did end up cloudy and in the 40's here. cold  I am going to rest for a while and then I need to mark bowing's in the orchestra music.

     Prissy,
I  use a light brown colour on my hair, but any  shade I use seems to bring
out the red in my hair. My hair used to be a chestnut  shade and red runs
in my family.I still think frosting would look good on you.

      JoAnne,
I hope you can sell the piano, I suppose if you don"t play you may as well

sell it as they do take up space.

We had ours tuned recently and they did a good job.

I hope you and your Mom will enjoy the Topsy Turvy dinner tonight. Sounds like fun.

PRISSY, that's why I started going to a professional to color my hair about 10 years ago.  I started getting layers of colors because the color wouldn't "stick" to the grey roots as well as it did to the ends.  It took having a totall disaster with about 4 layers of colors so that I looks like I had horizaontal stripes on my head!!! icon_eek

Since you have lighter hair, I'm sure that your hairdresser/colorist can camoflage the growth somewhat with highlights and "lowlights".  But as we've said many times here, growing out grey hair is never easy (but it's worth it????  Paranoid Laughing)

Just a thought....you could order the TV you want from Costco.com  and have it shipped straight to your home.  ????

     Thea,

That is a good idea and will most likely be my next step.  It"s getting really tiresome.

Hope you are having a good day and no more black ice, That makes the roads so

 wave

Time for me to go, but I wanted to check in here first!

Joann - Have fun at the Valentines party! I want to see photos, too! Thank you for your offer to come stay if the Saints make the Super Bowl next year  Huggles Saints fans go to the game whether they have tickets or not!!!!   Laughing It is predicted that there will be as many Saints fans tailgating in the parking lot as there will be in the stadium in Miami, and New Orleans will be filled with fans who could not make the trip to Florida!  Laughing We could never afford Super Bowl tickets. One woman I know here (her husband is a timber broker) got on line and bought tickets right after the Saints won the District Championship - $27,000 for tickets and hotel rooms (not including plane tickets). And the seats are not even good seats.  Jaw drop! It would be nice just one time to be able to buy exactly what you want without having to think about money!  Naughty lmao   Clapping for your good work out and for finally getting a diagnosis.

Sharon - thank you for getting up so early to cook breakfast!  Wink

Prissy - we are trying (I am tryng) to decide whether it is better for us to stay here or to go to a party (if the game is not going well, I think we would be better off here alone  Paranoid ) Other friends have called, too - their cable has gone out, and the company has promised repairs in the morning - if not, they will be here for the game. They are good enough friends that they will not mind if Lewis  and    Laughing

Jeanne - I really feel sorry for the Mannings, in a way! They have lived in New Orleans all of their adult life - the three boys grew up there. Archie Manning still covers Saints football on the radio (I know he won't tomorrow). Drew Brees said in an interview yesterday that Archie sends him a text before every game wishing him well. This weeks' text said that if it were any other team, Arcie would be pulling for him  Laughing He said blood is thicker than water! Enjoy the opera. SEND THOSE PHOTOS!!!! I would love to see you and Son all dressed up. I might not get them posted until Monday, but it only takes a few minutes to post a photo that is sent in email! I hope this license mess does make the newspaper. Once the apartment building where Lewis' Mom lived outlawed residents growing flowers! The residents called the newspaper. After photos of the beautiful flowers that were going to be cut down appeared in the newspaper, they had no more problems!

 Huggles Monica

Huggles Thea Congratulations to your son!

Pepe - how great that Don is helping with the cleaning. Rest and get better soon.  Big Hug!

Betty - thank you for looking for the newspaper. I appreciate that very much.

Well, I'm off - may not be back here until after the game tomorrow, depending upon what we end up doing about watching the game.

Have a great night, everyone, and a good Sunday, too.

Good Evening!

I just watched a movie on LIFETIME, and now I need to start on the orchestra music.

Sharon,
We do have the opportunity to play in some really special places!  I am looking forward to playing in this chapel.  I will leave some of our cards there after the wedding and hopefully, we can become "regulars" at this venue!

Thea,
The shipping and handling would probably be quite high on a big television set!   Lots of TVs were on sale this week before the Superbowl, but I think there will still be some good sales after that.  Skip can't have too many projects going at once!!  doh  Right now he is wanting to put speakers in different parts of the den at the ceiling and wire them through the ceiling!!
(OF course, we could buy a TV and it could "wait" in the box until he is ready to get it mounted on the bedroom wall!)
Pepe knows I have a greenhouse still "waiting" in boxes to be assembled!!  Laughing Laughing Paranoid

Frankie,
I think we will just stay home for the Super Bowl!  I will want to check that the TiVo is getting the wedding show on wedding TV.  I didn't even know we had that channel!!   I hope the Saints win!  It's about time!  Will Lewis be wearing a Saints shirt tomorrow?  Wink   That's kind of a stupid question, I know!!!!  lmao

Monica,
I know you are rooting for the Colts!  I feel kind of like Jan!  You want to root for Peyton Manning and  also the Saints!!  I hope it's a close game.

I hope everyone is having a good evening!

Good Evening Everyone,

Glory, glad you're feeling better.

Betty--Hope the ointment helps your rash soon.

Frankie---$27,000 for Super Bowl tickets! Glad I don't plan to go any time soon.

Funny, I've been rereading Clay's book this past week.  In it, he states that he hopes that he can always keep his concert tickets down, say around $45!  I wonder how he feels now knowing how scalpers "cheat" the person really wanting the tickets.

I also read that Miley Cyrus did a  great ticket way of selling the tickets at the "correct" venue prices.  You bought them on line, could not pick them up until the concert doors opened and had to show  the card the tickets were purchased with.  This helped keep the scalpers away from all the little kids wanting to see her concerts.  I thought this was a great idea and wish that all concerts would follow this lead.

The Valentine Dinner was good.  Sorry but we didn't bring a camera. Mom didn't want me to bother with it.   There were approx. 80 people there and most of us wore some sort of "topsy turvy" outfit.
Mom wore her shirt backwards and two belts backwards and she put on a stretch band watch on  her ankle.  I wore my tshirt, pants and jacket wrong side out.
Pepe--we had fresh spinach salad, green beans and  spaghetti.  I did eat some of the spaghetti too!  Dessert was ice cream but I was good and left that off.

GLORY, don't you ever change, we love you just like you are and I to hope you never get that sick again.  Huggles  I go to the doctor on Wednesday morning too.

DUDLEY, in case you drop by here is a  Huggles for you.

BETTY, I am concerned with your health.  Have you ever been tested for LUPUS?  Isn't it amazing all these doctors and tests and half of  us still don't know what is wrong with  us or how to fix it??? Thanks so much for sending me the brochure.

THEA, that is just wonderful news about  your son and his  job.  I know that is a lot off of your mind.  I usually go to bed with my son's problems on my mind.  My husband gets upset with me as he tells me I can not worry so much but I just can't turn it off like he does.

JEANNE, so glad you enjoyed the opera!!!!!!!!  SHARON is trying to fatten you up so eat all those donuts.

FRANKIE, sure wish I could be at your house today.  I think it will be loud and exciting.  What will we be munching on at your house if I should just pop in?????
