Good Morning Everyone,

It's already a beautiful day and the sun is coming out.  Mom is sore, more bruising has appeared but she is determined to go  tho the beauty shop!  We'll leave in about 10 minutes.  Sammy "allowed" me to sleep until 6:30 this morning! lmao  Feel as though half the day is gone already. lmao

We have a couple coming here to look at the baby grand piano.  Mom wants to sell it.  Even though it's gorgeous, it's out of tune and neither of us play.  It belonged to my sister and she has no room for it in Beaumont.   It's been sitting there since moving to this house in 1962.  This couple, if they do buy it, want it for their small church.
Then at 11:00, I go for another workout at the gym! bigsmile  If Mom  feels like it, the  sweetheart dinner is at 6:00 tonight.

ONLY  8 MORE DAYS TO VALENTINE'S DAY.   ONLY 2 MORE DAYS UNTIL CLAY REVEALS HIS NEWS.

Good Morning!

Son was wrong about the date of the childrens' parade (we found that out yesterday around noon). It is next Saturday - thank goodness - there is too much going on here this weekend already!

Betty -  Huggles Huggles Huggles thank you for looking forhe newspaper. Don't  go too a lot of trouble. I will be happy to pay your expenses buying and sendng it if you do come across one, though!

JoAnn - thank you for the Saints photo! Lews will love it!  Purple Banana I see the you and Prissy will bee right in the middle of SuperrBowl madness next year - the game will be at the new Cowbys stadium. Maybe the Cowboys will be in the game!

Huggles Meesa - hope the final wedding plans are going well. When you have time, we'd love to hear the details. Colors, flowers, attendants, etc.

Sasha - hope you find just the right kitten - is Chole going on this trip,, too, or is she staying home and listening to  Clay???

Have a great Saturday, everyone. Now that I do not have the parade, I can finish up things around here before I have to leave to go south. I'll check in before I go...................

Good Morning!

It looks like a sunny day, but we'll see how long that lasts!  It's supposed to be cooler than yesterday!  I may see my hair stylist today and have her trim my hair and see what she thinks about my white roots!!  I was hoping my hair was growing out blonde, but no, it looks white and grey!   Paranoid

Skip and I will probably do some "running around" today just to get out on a nice day.  I know he wants to go to Lowe's and I would not mind a stop at Walmart, even though I try to avoid it on the weekends.

JoAnn,
I know you and Jennie will have fun at the Topsy turvy dinner this evening.  Why don't you take your camera and take pictures of the food for Pepe and me and you and Jennie in your outfits.

Frankie,
That would really be something if the Cowboys could make it to the Superbowl next year and it would be at the new Cowboy Stadium in Arlington!  wheee
With the Cowboys, you just never know.   Some friends in Sunday School are having a Super Bowl party, but I'm not sure that we will go.  We want to watch the game without a lot of distractions!!

Sharon,
Breakfast sounds great!  Thanks for always stopping in to give us a good start on the day.

Sasha,
I hope you find a kitten that you like today.  I wonder, too, about Chloe going along?

Michelle,
Are you snowed in?  I thought I saw that Raleigh was part of that big snow storm in the east!!

Betty,
I really liked your hair at the Gala.  I wish I could get my color to look that good!  I may have to stop coloring my hair myself because I can't get the roots to color very well.

Pepe,
How are you today?  I hope you are feeling better today and pain free!  Are you up to a Walmart visit and McDonald's stop?   Skip wanted to go out to eat last night, but I thought a Friday evening would be really crowded.  We may eat out today!

Hello also to Jan, Thea, Glory, Lolita, Meesa, Jayne, Dudley and all checking in and/or reading and have a Stupendous Saturday!!

Just a quick stop on "On My Way There" lmao  to the gym.   I'm going to ask for another good, hard workout!!!  I guess I'm crazy but it has to come off.(the spare tire!)

Frankie---Yes, next year's Super Bowl will be in the Dallas Stadium in ARLINGTON, TEXAS.  It's funny, their name is Dallas Cowboys yet they haven't played in a Dallas home stadium since the 1960's!

We can see the roof of the stadium when we reach the highway about two minutes from the house.  It is a straight, no exit until there, drive from my house about an 8 minute drive.

Frankie and Lewis---Mom just told me if the Saints go to next year's Super Bowl and you get tickets, you're more then welcome to stay at our house!  We have a spare bedroom and bath available to you and it would only be a "blink of the eye" drive to get you there.

TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY. Purple Banana

I AM REALLY CONFUSED ABOUT THE TEAMS.
I LOVE THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS AND I LOVE PEYTON MANNING.
NOW IF MANNING WOULD ONLY SWITCH OVER TO THE SAINTS, THEN, I WOULD KNOW WHO TO ROOT FOR. AS IT IS, I AM VERY CONFUSED. doh
SOOOO , MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN.

FRANKIE
IF THERE ARE SOME GOOD ARTICLES ABOUT THE GAME IN MY SARASOTA PAPER I WILL SEND THEM ON TO LEWIS.

MY DRIVERS LICENSE PROBLEMS ARE A NIGHTMARE OF HUGE PROPORTIONS.
I JUST CANNOT DESCRIBE WHAT I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH, DUE TO SOMEONES TYPO.
HAVE BEEN TO THE TAX COLLECTOR NOW, TEN TIMES AND TO THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE THREE TIMES.
THERE HAS BEEN A HUGE MISTAKE SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE AND THEY SIMPLY CANNOT FIND IT OR CORRECT IT.
IT HAS BEEN ONE MONTH NOW AND I AM NOWHERE NEARER SOLVING THE PROBLEM.

A LAWYER WILL DO NO GOOD AS IT IS DEALING WITH THE GOVERNMENT.
THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS WAIT UNTIL I GET A TICKET (AS I WILL HAVE AN EXPIRED LICENSE IN 5 DAYS AND THEN GO BEFORE A J UDGE.

SO GALS, KEEP THE FILE HANDY WHEN YOU SEND ME A CAKE.
LOST 3 MORE LBS. DUE TO STRESS.
I AM ALMOST WHERE I WAS WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL, EXCEPT THE AREAS HAVE SLIPPED SOMEWHAT!!!!!!!

SO SHARON, SEND MORE CHOCOLATE DOUGHNUTS. I WILL EAT ALL I CAN GET.

MY SON GOT TICKETS FOR OUR OPENING TONIGHT. THE OPERA , CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA.
HE JUST LEFT TO RENT A TUX.
I WILL WEAR A NEW OUTFIT I GOT AT A CONSIGNMENT SHOP.
WISH I COULD SEND PIX BUT STILL CANNOT FIGURE OUT MY PHOTOBUCKET
WOULD SEND THEM TO FRANKIE TO PUT ON THE NET FOR ME BUT I THINK IT IS A LITTLE TOO MUCH TO HAVE OTHERS DO THE WORK I CANNOT DO BECAUSE OF COMPUTER STUPIDITY.

DUDLEY
GLAD YOU MOM IS DOING BETTER. YOU ARE A GOOD DAUGHTER.

GLORY
HANG IN THERE. YOU ARE A TOUGH LITTLE LADY AND I THINK CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING.

PEPE
MY BEST FRIEND ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO HAD LUNG CANCER.
SHE WORE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SCARVES. THEY LOOKED NEAT.
SHE WAS A DYED BRUNETTE AND WHEN HER HAIR GREW OUT GRAY , IT WAS SO GORGEOUS SHE NEVER WENT BACK TO BRUNETTE.
I HAVE STRANGE HAIR. IT LOOKS BLONDE BUT IS REALLY A STRANGE GOLDEN GRAY.
IT DOES NOT LOOK GRAY AT ALL.
MY MOM HAD DARK HAIR AND IT GREW IN AS SHE AGED, A GORGEOUS WHITE.
AND AS THEA SAID, YOU CAN GET SOME AMAZING WIGS.

I AM OFF TO EAT LUNCH; I AM NOT HUNGRY AT ALL AND HAVE TO FORCE MYSELF TO EAT. FOOD DOES NOT EVEN LOOK OR TASTE GOOD, YUCK.
ONE MORE REASON WHY I HAVE LOST SO MANY POUNDS. FROM 165 TO 141.

PS. IF I DO NOT GET MY LICENSE SOON. I WILL BE A FEATURE IN THE NEWSPAPER.
THE FEATURE WRITER CAN HARDLY BELIEVE THAT I CANNOT GET MY LICENSE.
IT IS GETTING RIDICULOUS. HE TOOK DOWN ALL THE INFORMATION YESTERDAY AND GIVES IT ONE WEEK UNTIL HE WRITES THE ARTICLE.
ALL BECAUSE OF A TYPO MADE BY SOMEONE IN THE DRIVERS LICENSE BUREAU DOWN THE ROAD.

OFF TO EAT LUNCH. OR MAYBE JUST A NIBBLE, OR MAYBE NOTHING. YUCK.

Hi JEANNE!  So very sorry that this bureaucratic nightmare continues for you.  This is the last thing you need.

Regarding a lawyer not being able to help because "it is dealing with government", I must disagree.  There are lawyers who specialize in this.  Ask your own lawyer to connect you with somebody who deals with identity problems. Although this particular issue may be out of her/his field of specialization, your personal lawyer should be able to refer you to somebody has expertise in this field.  My new DIL, who was originally a citizen of Lithuania, went through a bureaucratic nightmare a few years ago to get her U.S. citizenship.  Finally when a friend referred her to a naturalization lawyer, she was able to breeze through her citizenship application.  Lawyers can make all of the difference!   Wink

FRANKIE had mentioned a while back that a well-written letter from a lawyer could cut through all of this bureaucracy.  I agreed with her then and continue to agree with her today!  Please, get some help so that this burden can be removed from your life.

Love,
Thea

P.S.  JOANN, I keep forgetting to return your kind wave's when I do post here.  I'm hoping your foot surgery goes well and that you can also put this behind you.  Hugs to Jennie, too.  What an amazing pair you two are!

LOLITA, PRISSY, FRANKIE and others...have a good weekend!

P.S. to JEANNE--

Enjoy "Cavillera Rusticana" this evening.  That is one of my favorite operas!!!   Are they pairing it with "I Pagliacci", which is the traditional way they are presented???   I so envy you that you have all of this culture right at your back door.  Phil and I have to make long treks into the city in order to enjoy opera and theatre.

Hi Thea---- wave

I "survived" my workout today and it was a doozie too!"   This trainer WORKS you!  I wouldn't mind keeping her but I still like my regular trainer too.  It depends on what the schedule will be like when my regular trainer is well enough to return to work.  I'll just have to wait and see.
Today, we worked on ABS doh I'm so sore, lower back and shoulders.  It was  a type of workout that I should have started many years ago.
In the mail today, I received information about my upcoming surgery.  I FINALLY have it on paper what it wrong with the foot! It said that it was a stress fracture 5th MT, left foot and that the surgery will be removal of the 5th MT Bone, left foot.

Have been laying down most of the day, seems like the bleeding wants to start up again and can't have that.  So am tryimg to lay still and be good.  Don has been cleaning my kitchen.  He pulled the stove out and please some one tell me how it gets that filthy behind a stove????????  Than he cleaned the stove and the tile and cleaned the floor really good.  I mentioned this last month and thought he had forgotten.

SASHA, how wonderful to get to see one of your beautiful blends again.  I am excited for you to go and look at kittens.  But please tell me how  you come away with just one???????  They are so beautiful and how do you know which one to take?  Now are you looking at the same breed kitten as Chloe today?

JOANN, yep listen to PRISSY, love to see some pictures of the food and you guys all dressed backwards!!  Hope Jennie is feeling  up to it so she enjoys it and I give her so much credit for getting out and doing things even when I know she is not feeling her best.
