B. keep us posted on how you 're doing. OK? We worry about you.

Heidi is going home today, but we had a lot a fun and really enjoyed the time together.

Didn't get into too much trouble , but we sure ate and drank a lot.!!!!

Matt's going to stop at the shop and fix her a 10" Italian hoagie hot from the oven to take with her. Then we'll go from their to the airport and drop her off.  We are already planning on what we can do when I go down in May. Laughing Laughing

Filling Every Empty Space With Clay

« Reply #1644 on: January 03, 2010, 10:01:53 AM »

Hi RTM Peeps!   (just lost the start of a long post) . . . DRAT!

Here goes again . . . Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!  Wind chill of minus 15 degrees!  bump bump  Decided it would be a good day to put on some grubby clothes and get some cleaning done. I worked at the hospital on New Years Eve until almost 6 and then went to Nancy's for supper - I'm more "behind" with housework and laundry than usual.  Tomorrow is garbage pick-up . . . so I'm going to completely clean out the fridge and throw out some things that need to depart.  Smile  I'm sadly throwing out my small blue speckled roaster because it wore thin and there is a hole in the bottom.  I have a large one, but the little one is great for roasting one chicken or a small beef or pork roast.  Both my MIL and my grandmother used those kind of roasters and I think I got the two of them for a wedding shower . . . .  many years ago.  I definitely will get a new one.  TMI?? Smile

When I'm done with my "chores", I will jump in the tub and freshen up and spend a couple of hours with Mom.  She loves to go through her Christmas cards and gifts, so that's what we will do.

BRENDA - Good luck on your "prep" and your procedure on Tuesday.  Hugs and prayers going out for you! Huggles

ANN????  ANN?? So good to see you.  Missed you! Are you rested after your well-deserved days off?? Sorry that you have such a long commute for work.  Safe travels! Huggles

CAROLYN - Your family picture was a very nice surprise.  I haven't seen you for a long time.  You look great and so does the rest of your family!  Clapping

SHARON - Glad you had fun in Stratford with your friends!  It brought back memories from the summer of '09! It is a beautiful city and very quaint!  They also sell unique greeting cards . . .  puts a smile on my face (and so much more)! bigsmile

MARILYN - Anxious to hear what you and the grandkids will do today.  Will you be playing with some of the toys from Santa??  I can hear the joy in your posts when you talk about them. Huggles

BECKY - Have you checked in lately??  Are you at your own home by chance?  Your Dad certainly is at a crossroad in his life. Hopefully, he will consider moving closer to you.  Huggles

HEIDI & HO - Absolutely loved hearing of your adventures.  Is it a sin to be envious of the good times you've had during this visit?  Matt seemed to enjoy it as much as you two!  Safe travels, BOZENA!

SHIRLEY - I love your spunk!    Even tho' some of your days are not good at all because of your health issues,, you always still try to get some cooking done and you always come online with something interesting to say! Huggles

KAREN - I had forgotten about Justin's headaches until the conversation went that way.  Have they ever been diagnosed as a variance of migraines??  At the hospital, I see charts of people who have migraines so severe that they land in the E.R.  Others come in with headaches that are described as a variant of a migraine.  They may attributed to anything from tension to allergies or almost anything and the patient is usually referred to a specialist to identify the cause and (hopefully) find something to alleviate the pain or (when lucky) eliminate the cause.  Good Grief . . . Sorry to sound like a text book. Paranoid

MARY - Is there something that can be done regarding your vision problem?  I feel so badly for you because you have serious medical conditions with your heart and your back.  Please keep us posted.   AND . . .  when will you and Paul tie the knot?? We certainly want to hear any details regarding your plans!

KIM - I love your posts!!  You know how to live and I'm glad you share your silliness and your heart here with us! Huggles (Now don't start thinking that I'm going to be all sweet and respectful just because of what I said)! bigsmile

PEGGY - It is always good when we hear from you.  When do you go for your follow-up check-up for your heart procedure . . or did I miss that.  Will you be going back to work?  I knew you were hoping it wouldn't be before the holidays.  See . . I always seem to have bits and pieces of information . . . but never really am sure if I got it right! Laughing

MEESA - Love your pictures. We will always want to hear about your wedding plans! Can I be the cyber "something old"?  bigsmile

CHRISIE - Miss you.  Would love to hear how you, Fabe, and the kids are doing!  Your family is always super busy, so I understand we don't hear much from you!  Hope all is well! Huggles

CINDY - Happy New Year!  Did you and hubby go dancing at any NYE parties?? We always love hearing from you and your posts are delightful.  Jump over here anytime! Huggles

BETHIE - Glad that Dave is doing better and that the kids had a great Christmas.  Yep, back to "normal" tomorrow when school starts again. Do they both like school? Diana doesn't go full-time this year, does she?  Yipes - they grow up so fast. Huggles

"Our" side of the family celebrated Derek's 9th birthday at Nancy's yesterday.  It seemed strange to have to manipulate and compromise, etc.,  to make it happen.  His birthday was actually Dec. 31st and and celebrated it with his Mom and family.  At least Derek and I had a chance to make birthday cupcakes at my house before we went to Nancy's.  Lots of laughs . . . Huggles

I only watched the Bachelor one year . . . I should give it another try!  HEY - new episodes of Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters tonight!

Well . . . this novel of mine kind of rambled . . . . I should make a New Year's resolution that my posts be more often, but very much shorter.  MMmmmmmmmm . . . hypnotic

January Hugs!!  Huggles Huggles Huggles

Ann - it was sooooo good to hear from you. Please stop in more often.

Barb - I can't begin to tell you what a great time we had. Of course, being that it was during the holidays made it even better. We have Christmas eve at my house for a buffet supper, then Christmas morning at my daughter's to open gifts, then back over to my house for Christmas dinner. Then on New Year's Eve we went gambling at mountaineer, ate supper, stayed overnight, had breakfast, gambled some more (I won , they both lost - just the reverse of last year when they both won and I lost). Then we had a huge New Year's Day dinner at my cousin's house. In between we laughed, talked , drank , played games and had a great time.

I love her to SHARON.   Yep BARB you are right about one thing you should post more often but don't make them shorter.  Love reading them.  Hate to come onto the thread and only have a couple of short posts to read.  I fixed Pasta Fajoli (?)  for supper.  It is the recipe from the Olive Garden restaurant.  Going to go and make some lemon poppyseed muffins I guess.  My bread did not raise right, I have had it out all day and it should be double in size and it is not, must have some bad  yeast in it.

Hope everyone is staying warm, it is nasty here with the north wind blowing.  Not as bad as some of the middle states at -37 below zero.  Horrible.

KAREN, sure hope your sister makes the move.  If their are job opportunites for her there why not, she is single so can do what she wants.  I can imagine there are some jerks where she lives.  I met one of them that moved to Tennessee where we lived, he just moved from Santa Fe and he was very strange we found out.   lmao

ANN, you have been gone just to long!  We sure do miss you.  Off to put my muffins in the oven, I will return.

Chicken tortellini Shirley, with spinach, fresh mushrooms and I'm adding a few tiny cubes of potato that I had, should be OK.  My Mom and sis and I are visiting my cousin (Uncle Eddy's daughter) with dinner.  She has incurable bone cancer, she had some not so good news on Thursday

I made sure my daughter and my (now ex) DIL each had one.  Nancy has turned into a good cook! My DIL's speckled blue roaster is probably still in the wrapper. Or maybe she turned it into a planter! She did not do much cooking . . .unless it involved CHOCOLATE! Smile

I never made chicken tortellini soup.  Smells good!

SHIRLEY - I really like the food at Olive Garden.  How do you make your chicken fajoli?

Off to spend some time with Mom!!

Have been busy taking down all the decorations, which leads to cleaning out closets, which leads to cleaning out storage spaces, its a vicious cycle !!! LOL but the house is almost back to normal now which I love.

Can't wait for Desperate Houswives tonight, The Bachelor tomorrow and the Biggest Loser on Tues !!!!

My new years resolution is to try and get on here way more often to keep in touch with all of you....all of you that I miss dearly !!!

SO GLAD that we have heard from some of our lost friends.

Ann - Huggles  Please stop in more often.  We miss you   Huggles

ChrisieDHuggles  Same for you  Please stop by and say 'Hi' once in a while.  How did the girls do over Christmas?  Did they feed the reindeer?

Barbara - Please don't change a thing about any of your posts.  I love to read them and laugh at some of them.

Sharon - Hope your soup went over good.  Sorry to hear bad news about your cousin Uncle Eddy's daughter.

Shirley - I think that we all love to come here and read your posts.  You put me to shame the way you remember everyone and things they have done.

Evelyn - I can just picture the food spread you did over the holidays.  I have eaten your cooking and it is delicious!  I bet Bozena's diet was left at home.   ROFLMAO

Kim - Get your self a heating pad, it will help warm you up.  40 degrees is a piece of cake!  I know you can get through it.   ROFLMAO  Make yourself a nice cup of hot tea.

Well, I'm off to do another puzzle.  This makes #5 since Christmas.  Boy, talk about a busy life here.   Paranoid

Spikee, we were so busy, we didn't even know that Santa was coming to our house early until the morning he came, so no, not this year, the poor reindeers went hungry !

We asked Santa for extra money this year to take the girls to Disney again, but he brought them 4 of there MOST WANTED gifts and that was it. Disney was there BIG present this year.

Montreal wasn't much like Christmas this year. Not sure if you all remember that Fabe's brother has been battling colon cancer for a long time now and if he lives 3 more months, it will be good. So there was no gift x-change really this like before and no real parties like his family usually has. His brother is at home so most of the time was spent in his room with him, just spending time. Please keep him in your prayers. Huggles

Look at me, posting twice in one day !!!!!
